In theory, this should be a nice hotel but several things were not up to snuff on our visit: getting initially sent to a room that was not made up, the heater in the new room not working, and finding a maid cleaning our room even though we had not yet checked out and had a "do not disturb " sign hanging from the door. On the positive side, the new hotel manager, Cody, listened attentively to our complaints, agreed that this was not acceptable and adjusted our rate as compensation. We felt confident that issues such as these would be corrected going forward. That went a long way to make up for what would otherwise have been a disappointing stay. read more

Brand new hotel (refurbished Comfort Inn). Looks great inside and out. Breakfast was among the best free hotel breakfasts I have had. Good coffee. The rightmost elevator had some issues. Door operated very very slowly when we checked in. At checkout there was a maintenance guy looking at it, and a very angry man who had been stuck inside for 15 minutes. We took the stairs. Had a great stay!!!! Chelsea started our visit off right as we checked in. She was very polite, personable, and professional. Somehow, I had a scheduling snafu and needed to rearrange my stay, which also involved other hotels. She took the time to fix the issue with a very pleasant demeanor even thought it was clearly my fault. Likewise, I had a package shipped to the hotel hoping it would arrive before I continued my travels. When I learned my items would not arrive on time, I explained it to Barbra, who came up with a solution and gave me the confidence I could leave it to her to resolve. Thank both you ladies!!!! While I did not have real encounters with others, everyone was very pleasant and helpful. The room itself was very clean. The beds were comfortable with fresh sheets (which I always inspect with a UV light ). Our stay allowed us to focus on the trip we were here for with no issues with our room or the hotel. Great place to stay in Medford and the only place I will stay when back in town. Of note, the room does not have the silly smoked glass doors that cast a silhouette of whoever is using the bathroom--Thank you for that too! read more

Why have I not tried this place before? Not sure, but I will frequent it again if I can. Large room with an official man cave for my husband, two queen beds with 4 pillows each, a wet bar area with sink, microwave and fridge. Also has large couch area. Breakfast is included and has hot and cold items. Hot was eggs, bacon, waffles, oatmeal and also u can toast bagels. Cold was cereal, yogurt and fruit. Also had orange juice. Bed was comfy and loved the feather pillow. Overall think this is a better deal than Courtyard. Don't forget to ask for your AAA discount. read more

Not entirely sure how this hotel has a 4.3 star rating on google and 4 stars on Yelp. Perhaps my family's stay could be considered anecdotal, but I'll share my experience nonetheless. The entire hotel smells terrible. The rooms smell terrible. The do not accommodate young infants in need of a safe and comfortable place to sleep. Pack-N-Plays, although considered "safe", are not the same as cribs. Phillis at the front desk is very kind and tried her very best to help accommodate us. We understand the infant accommodations and smell are out of her control. Definitely not a good place for young children if you care about them crawling around without concerns for cleanliness. We rolled in on Christmas Eve. The hotel had a little gift for us, which we appreciated. I told them we were going to be leaving before five the next morning so we wouldn't be able to enjoy the wonderful breakfast. They told me they would pack a bag for us and they did. We were traveling with a lot of Christmas presents and stuff so the cart that they had at the front door was super helpful. We slept well. The room was nice. It had two beds. It was good size to get out of separate kitchen areawith a microwave and mini fridge and sink and a bathtub in the bathroom everything we needed. That morning hour breakfast sack was ready and they wished us a merry Christmas. We will definitely stop here next time we're going through Medford. read more

I had read good reviews about this place online. When we first showed up, it looked good. The restroom off the main lobby was exceptionally clean. We got to our room and there were stains all over the couch. So bad, we didn't want to sit on it. I think they must have stolen it from the homeless in town. Yuck! We went down and got a blanket to cover the couch while we were there. Later, when we used the shower, the drain was frozen in the closed position. The light in the bathroom was flickering like a strobe light. They came up and replaced the bulb. When she did, it tripped the GFI breaker in the bathroom. Did not instill confidence in the electrical system. Wish we would have ignored some of the bad reviews at the Hilton and stayed there. We were only there for one night and left very early in the morning so we shined it on. The people were nice. read more

Bed and pillows were comfortable. Good natural light as well as reading lights. We appreciated that we could open the window for fresh air and to allow the outdoor sounds to cover up those made by other people in the hotel. We could hear the conversation of people either in the hall or an adjacent room. Shower was clean. Wish the charging outlets were closer to the bed so that we could charge our phones on the bedside table like at some other Marriott hotels such as Issaquah, Portland, etc. We think perhaps either cleaning spray got on the bed coverlets or that maybe not all the soap got washed out because after laying on the bed the part of my skin that was in contact with the coverlet was itchy. After showering I was careful to not touch the same fabric and was fine. Air conditioning is loud but that's to be expected at an older location. Front desk staff was friendly. Enjoyed reading the complimentary Washington Post. The coffee and tea station upon entering the lobby is a nice touch. read more

We came from Portland down to southern Oregon to camp out for the night and unfortunately we were unable to find a spot and ended up looking for a room in Medford at 3:00 in the morning. We had a pickup bed full of camping gear so this was not any easy task as most of the hotels in Medford are in crime ridden areas. When we called SpringHill Suites they said that they had security in their parking lot and we would have nothing to worry about. We were a little bit disappointed that they were not willing to give us a price break or late checkout and we would only have use of the room for a few hours. We decided that this would be the best way to get a few hours of sleep in the area without having to worry about collecting our camping gear from the local pawn shops in the morning! When we arrived to the front desk the man behind the counter was not up for any small talk and he didn't bother with putting on a mask which didn't bother us just worth noting. We tried to see if he might be willing to reduce the rate given the circumstances with no such luck. We checked in and off to the room we went. When we got to the room we used the bathroom right away and found bugs crawling in the tub which was a little bit disappointing to say the least. When we woke up we noticed that the room was actually pretty dirty and the tv remote was sticky.... bent cover in the bathroom was cracked (from installing a hidden camera in the vent)? Lol but seriously! All in all we did feel good about our gear being safe in the parking lot and we were not missing anything in the morning. A little bit bummed about the price and definitely the cleanliness factor. If you are not driving around at 3:00 am and there is vacancy at some other places in town, I would recommend making a better choice for yourself. read more

Great. Nearby amenities is what I needed in conjunction with a good nights sleep. Over priced though at $249 but I paid it because I was too tired to drive to Redding CA. Cracker Barrel's comfort food menu was just what I needed! It beat fast food all in the head!! Another plus is the staff was very nice and accommodating. I needed to take my expensive road bikes off my van and they stored them securely for me! If they hadn't provided that for me, I wouldn't have been able to stay. $7k being stolen was not worth the risk. Thank you staff at Marriott!! read more

This is a decent property convenient to a lot of services you need while on the road. The rooms are nicely laid out and clean, the property is away from parks where homeless tend to camp, and the personnel are professional and helpful. However, the walls are paper-thin. We could easily hear the family next door, even though they weren't especially loud. They were just speaking in normal tones. Considering all, it's better than many in Medford, but probably not the best if you're a light sleeper. read more

We stayed here for one night on 3/30/22, on a road trip to Washington. We left Los Angeles that morning so needless to say by the time we made it to Ashland we were exhausted and didn't want to mess around with any cheap hotel or bad night's sleep, so we stayed here. The hotel is on the same lot as other Marriot hotels and share one giant parking lot. There's tons of places to eat nearby and a Starbucks just around the corner, so it was a good location for us. The room itself was nice. It was clean, had a kitchenette, large bathroom and walk-in closet. It was pretty nice! The bed was somewhat soft but the walls were quiet, so I slept like a baby. They had a pretty good spread laid out in the morning that we were able to grab a couple items to go. I would definitely recommend staying here! read more

Other reviews left me with higher expectations than reality. Our room wasn't very clean, but it was a safe and comfortable enough spot to hang our heads for the night. The Marriot website kept timing out every time I'd enter my AAA card for the discount, so I had to book thru booking.com, the attendant wasn't particularly helpful with this at the time of check in and was not at all apologetic. I ended go spending $30ish more than with the AAA discount because she either couldn't or wouldn't apply the discount. I don't expect the red carpet to be rolled out, but basic customer service would have been nice. The breakfast was so-so, nothing to write home about. The pool is cold but appears clean. In hindsight I would have booked at Holiday Inn knowing the price would have been lower for the same thing. read more

I initially started my stay with a partner property within the group. I can honestly say, I'd recommend EITHER property! When I was told the age of the property, I was doubtful. We were only at the hotel for 1 hour before checking out. This review and rating is about the courtesy provided under highly unusual circumstances by the Spring Hill Suites and Marriott staff. We arrived in Medford in the late afternoon on July 24, 2018. We booked the 3 night reservation months in advance, as we intended to explore southern Oregon before heading north. Unfortunately we stepped out of our car in the parking lot to thick hazy smoke permeating the air. As we checked in to the hotel, the desk attendant told us there were 70 wildfires burning throughout the area. Smoke had been in the air for days and there was no end in sight. Local outdoor events were being cancelled or moved indoors. I think it crossed our minds to leave the area as soon as we got out of the car. My family of 4 had already been on the road for hours and were tired of driving. It wasn't until we got all our luggage up to our room and realized the smoke was inescapable even indoors that we started to talk about how unhealthy it was to stay here for 3 days. We had two questions to resolve: could we find a reservation somewhere unaffected by the wildfire smoke, and would Springhill cancel our reservation without charging us. We were well past the deadline for cancellation without penalty. Instead of speaking to the front desk staff, we called Marriott directly because we also needed help locating a new hotel. The cancellation part was more complicated. The phone rep called the front desk to see if they would honor a full cancellation. Noting the health risk, they graciously agreed to do so. The phone rep then helped us find another Marriott property up in Beaverton, well away from the smoke. We are very grateful to the staff at Spring Hill Suites for not charging us for our brief stay. We do hope to return at a future date under better weather circumstances, and will certainly book at Spring Hill Suites. read more

Lots of places to eat nearby such as Mod Pizza, Chipotle, Cracker Barrel, Panda Express. Starbucks and Walmart across the street. I stayed for several nights at the Springhill Suites for work recently. I was very impressed. The staff was friendly and courteous and the room were great. I think most looked like mine. There are two rooms to it, one having a sectional sofa and a desk and the other having the bed. The bathrooms are fairly spacious as well. My room was cleaned very well every day I was there and considering it was 100+ degrees, I was very excited to come into the room with the AC on so I could cool off after a long day. The breakfast was pretty good in the morning, too. Nice selection of meats and fruits, breads and yogurts. It can be a bit hectic and seating can be a problem if everyone comes down at once. I thought there was enough parking, but if you arrive late at night, you may have to search for a while to find a spot. There are a few things to note about the experience -- 1) If you want to watch TV, it will be a challenge. The TV is located between the two rooms, so you can kinda sorta see it from both the bed and the sofa. It is at a weird angle for both and the obvious solution is two televisions per room. 2) The view (at least from my room) was of the next hotel that is being built. So my view was of construction being done to the other building. Fortunately, I didn't feel a need to look out the window much. 3) I only saw one elevator. There aren't a lot of floors, so it does go relatively quickly, but it also meant groups of people on most rides up and down. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Springhill. As I mentioned earlier, the staff was friendly, the rooms were neat and clean and AC'ed, the breakfast was pretty good, and the pricing was reasonable. I don't make it down to Medford very often, but if I needed to stay in the area, I would be happy to stay at the Springhill Suites again. read more

The Medford property meets the high Marriott Standards. Parking can be problematic if you are traveling with a trailer, but the often seem to have a solution. Lately, they seem to be busier than usual with traveling construction (utility) staff. Starbucks & Walmart are across the street. Pretty nice stay here. Arrived and was greeted by two Guest Service Agents. My check in was good and reps even explained where the gym was, heated pool, breakfast and etc. it's always a hit or miss as Marriott but this one was awesome. They have breakfast available and even when I left at 5:00 am they had some coffee available even though breakfast was at 6:30. The rooms look good but could use a little update. The tv channels are on old style menu. (No Netflix available). Over all I was happy with my stay. Note: Starbucks is available right across the street. read more

Ahh! I should've booked this place twice! Stay here rather than the courtyard which is next to it. The rooms are cleaner and bigger. The hotel is conveniently located off of an interstate highway exit. The exit has everything you can think of including a Walmart, Starbucks, restaurants, chain fast food, and a skating rink. We took a tour of Harry and David's facilities and guess what? Harry and David is literally down the street from the hotel. There's plenty of free parking. We stayed in a spacious suite with two queen beds. The rooms are updated and clean as is expected of this hotel brand. The hotel offers a full breakfast each morning up until 9:30am on the weekdays and 10am on the weekends. You can find bread, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, sausages, oatmeal, cereal with milk, coffee, orange juice, muffins, fresh fruit, and a waffle machine to make your own waffles. It's not your continental breakfast you dread at other hotels. read more

Oh boy, we had a horrible stay at this placed recently. We specifically asked for a quiet room. Instead, we were located in a hallway where noisy teenagers and adults would run up and down the corridor at all hours! Here's a tip: Only stay at this hotel if you love obnoxiously loud fat families, the smell of strong chlorine from the swimming pool which pervades the entire first floor, impossibly slow elevators, substandard breakfasts clogged with hoards of teenagers, etc. It was a nightmare! Another late night arrival traveling through the area. We would have made reservations a bit earlier had we had internet/phone in the mountains. All the king suites were booked and we weren't the only ones making reservations at midnight - had to settle for 2 queen beds. Surprised how busy the front desk was so late! Trent was very efficient - helping multiple people simultaneously. Additionally, he brought a shower chair to our room within 10-15 minutes of check in. SpringHill sure gets great late night shift employees - see my previous write up. These guys are way above the typical night shift staff! The room: Comfy beds, lots of room, lots of towels. Lots of lights in the living areas - my husband complained that the bathroom was too dark with only one light (I thought it was fine but he spends a lot more time in there then I do). I love the wall separating the desk from the beds so I can work and not disturb him with my light. Husband is addicted to HGTV and this was seriously missing from the TV offering.. We considered the Courtyard to get HGTV but they were sold out. Why is this missing from your TV line up- you have 4 sports channels! Very nice clean quiet hotel.. Highly recommended. read more

The good: Convenient location. Friendly staff. Attractive rooms. Good bed. Good breakfast. The bad: They use a horrible, industrial cleanser in the rooms that was very distracting. It practically made my eyes burn. Made it hard to sleep. And I have a very dull sense of smell. I was too tired to demand another room, and besides the place seemed sold out. When I mentioned it to the manager in the morning, he offered me a soda or something from the little market. Not the best attempt to make something like that right. read more

My wife and children are traveling between Seattle and San Francisco without me right now and I wanted to find a good midway point for them to stop for the night. I booked a room at the SpringHill Suites through Expedia for them... and proceeded to wait 7 hours for a confirmation email from Expedia. Somewhat panicked that I wouldn't be able to find a room for my family, I called SpringHill directly and reserved the same room with a credit card. The Expedia email came through at 8pm and now we had double-booked. I called SpringHill Suites back and talks to Jeff and Dirk, both of whom were very accommodating. They honored the Expedia confirmation (which they hadn't received either) and canceled our other reservation at no charge. My wife claimed it was quite comfortable there and my kids dug the indoor pool. It is refreshing to see exceptional human customer service in the age of depersonalized Internet black holes. -5 stars for Expedia. If I could give Dirk and Jeff 6 stars I would. Clean room, good breakfast. 2 bikes were cut out of locks right in front of the hotel. They had no cameras to capture any crime right in front of their door. The manager was kind but said they're not responsible. A legal argument for sure but I won't be back, nor would I recommend travelers stopping here to also get robbed. read more

Very clean and right off the highway. Nice, helpful staff. Decent workout room with 3 cardio machines. They'll give you some headphones if you don't have any. An indoor pool and jacuzzi I didn't make it into, but looked nice. Decent breakfast. A make your own Belium waffle maker, which is always nice. I avoided the eggs and sausage, which looked like prefab McDonalds, but the oatmeal was very good and had numerous things to customize it. Fresh fruit. Probably 50 restaurants and a Fred Meyer nearby. A good choice to stay if you are visiting Ashland, too. As it is just a few minutes down the road. read more
