We love Dr Ewert. But she's been gone for several months and no one will tell you anything about when or if she's ever coming back. We've been going to Pear for 3 years and I've seen the gradual decline, but it has reached its lowest point. The office staff are horribly rude and unprofessional. Wait times can be long. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. read more

The office staff is incompetent until you show up in person and demand they do their job. It took me over a month, 5 phone calls, and being told they had no record of my children AT ALL before finally showing up at the office to get them to release my kids medical records. Between the office staff, being forgotten in an exam room, waiting 2 hours for shots, and the way they handled Dr. Ewert leaving I would never recommend this practice. read more

Since Dr. Ewert's leave of absence this place is a mess. The receptionists are the absolute worst people to deal with, always rude and disrespectful, I once even caught them talking bad about me and my child because we called twice persistently asking them to refill prescriptions. The new young nurses are nice enough but lack basic protocol standards, on multiple occasions I've had to tell them myself to put on damn gloves before giving my child a shot. As for the new fill-in doctors here, Dr. Gari shouldn't be a pediatric doctor as he's mean to children and snappy when asked questions, he has also told several long time patients (myself included) to find a different doctor. Don't take your children here as this place is not safe for them and the staff here couldn't care less about actually providing care for their child patients. read more

We have 4 children who have seen Dr. Ewert for 12+ years, and we had great experiences with her. But, when she went on long-term leave last year, we saw Dr. Gary and Dr. Ryan in her absence. Wow, were we shocked! Dr. Gary refused medication refills for my son who has been on the same meds for years. It forced us to scramble to find another doc who was willing to listen and refill his meds. He and Dr. Ryan also tried to pressure us into Covid and flu vaccines for our kids - which we persistently declined. Dr. Gary was very abrupt, didn't listen to specific complaints or concerns, and was quick to push us out to get to the next patient. It is clear he is just counting $$ instead of truly treating children. I have seen this place steadily decline since Dr. Ewert left, and our family will not be returning. read more

It sucks my kids a got a traumatic experience 10/10 would not recommend they held and forced him even tho I said no as the parent

Thank you so much Pear Pediatrics, NP Sarah and front desk lady Ms. Lisa! We took out 3yr old in today. He has a piece of styrofoam in his ear, which needs to be taken out via surgery in a day. We thought he was getting sick because it hadn't been taken out yet. They got us in same day and verified that part of the ear canal was fine, no redness or infection as we'd been flushing it with alcohol every morning and night. The problem for his fever was a double ear infection due to allergies we've been working on getting under control. We took him out to a farm the day prior and with allergies so bad, his nasal passages weren't able to drain where his ears are and created an infection. We wouldn't have known if Ms. Lisa hadn't been so attentive and got us in so quick and if Ms. Sarah took the time to gain Luke's trust. His last pediatrician wasn't so good with him. They really physically hurt him unnecessarily trying to do a simple procedure so he's very scared of doctors. Not with Ms. Sarah though. She was phenomenal. Wish we had had her many years ago. Also, last week the ear nose and throat surgeon for the styrofoam needed a referral before we could proceed with surgery. We didn't have a pediatrician yet because we just moved here a few weeks ago. Pear pediatrics got us in same day and got the referral over same day. Due to just moving to TX from out of state our insurance was brand new so we didn't have insurance cards yet. They really went above and beyond to get on the phone with insurance to get everything squared away for us. They truly are lifesavers! Highly recommended. We sure do appreciate y'all!! read more

Love Dr. Ewert! We followed her YEARSSSS AGO from Rockwall Pediatrics and couldn't be happier! She always listens and gives realistic treatment options and advice and has never once made us feel like she didn't understand our concerns. We've never felt rushed at all and always feel like she spends ample time evaluating our children! I've never had issues with the office; however, scheduling can be a little difficult as they seem to be VERY BUSY. read more

I don't even know the name of the doctor who saw my child. He walked in, briefly checked her with his stethoscope (didn't bother to pick her up to give her a full check), called her a "he", then handed me a printed article from a well-known website about the concern I came in for that day. I felt very unseen and unheard as a mother. What a total waste of time to go and pay someone to 1. *not* check out my child and 2. hand me something I've read about a million times already. We will not be returning. I hope this isn't how all of their peds are, but the one who saw us, with his two (unintroduced) medical students certainly left a lasting impression. I must say, however, that the front desk girls were all very helpful and kind both in person and on the phone. read more

I have been going to Pear Pediatrics with my two children for years and today I went in finding out that my child's regular doctor, Dr. Ewert is on a long leave of absence. We ended up seeing Dr. Gary, which was the most horrific experience. My child was diagnosed with ADD at a young age and after years of being on the medication, he refused to refill her prescription just stating she was old enough (17 yrs old) and probably no longer needed it. He began to say she was too old to be a patient there and needed to go somewhere else, handing me a piece of paper with medical referrals. He was completely rude and his bed side manner was awful. The office manager was also extremely rude . After paying $80 for nothing they refused to refund me and stated I can take it up with my insurance provider. The way the doctor and the employees are treating their patients. I don't think that this practice is gonna last much longer without Dr Ewert. read more

NP Sarah and their office staff are incredibly helpful! She is very knowledgeable and handles our three year old very well! They also are highly efficient with referring us to appropriate specialists when needed. My wife and I highly recommend this primary care facility for peds. CT read more

I made a first patient appointment for my twins as one I felt like her reflux was really bad, screaming all night, no sleep, uncomfortable and all that. The other has had an ear infection for a while and her drops didn't seem to working (they both have tubes) and we needed a refill for them. The very young and friendly NP came in nice, asked about them said she can get us a referral for GI but questioned me on the drops said that her office wouldn't just allow me to have them on hand and then asked if I knew how to use them. She then looked at my girls, again very friendly and my girls did very well (they don't like drs usually) and she said it looked like strep as they both had ulcers in their throat but it was negative. Now, sounds fine but the very next morning urgent care said it's hand foot and mouth! The other part that is now bothering me is that when the office called me to tell me the culture that came back was negative - I explained what happened. Said I would like to still come to this office just with a new doctor, the NP called me to tell me she didn't misdiagnose them. I was too busy to argue, but now I really find it distasteful. Maybe she didn't misdiagnose because in all fairness she did say it could be something viral which HFMD is, but the other dr said that the sores were classic presentation of HFMD and it's the same symptoms my son had when he had it. I originally said I would come back to this office but no, I won't. I rely on my pediatrician to help me be aware of signs and symptoms of what an illness could be if it wasn't what they're thinking. I also need one to not treat me like I don't know what I'm doing. All 4 of my kids have tubes, I was with my last pediatrician for 7 years so yes, she knew I knew what I was doing. I will continue my search for a great pediatrician as we are new to the area. read more

This has been a Pediatrics office I've taken all my babies to in the past four years. They've always been so kind to us. I have a son and daughter who have been seen by Dr Anne Ewert and Miss Sarah Irish. Both extremely sweet and looking out for the betterment of my kids. Sincerely open for any questions, quick to respond when contacted via portal, and always so patient with my babies. Having two kids who have a hard time in offices in general, they make them feel so comfortable. I've never felt rushed, sends me home with papers to go over their progress, etc. these people! read more

I really liked Dr. Ewert but my recent visit has led me to seek another pediatric office. The front desk is just really inconsistent with how they treat you. Apparently I had some issues with my insurance that needed to be figured out, and all I wanted was questions answered but that seemed to irritate them. The mood changes never bothered me until I actually needed their help. I was just trying to fix the issue right then and there but I kept being brushed off by them. Overall, I felt embarrassed that my questions were not answered in a respectful manner and because of that I felt very uncomfortable having my daughter be seen by anyone. read more

My infant sees Dr Anne Ewart and we absolutely love her. She is so kind and directly answers our questions clearly. I never feel rushed at all but the appointment is quick since she is direct with her answers. The front staff is super nice as well. I trust her completely and feel very comfortable there. We saw a different pediatrician at a different practice prior to coming here and had to switch because we didn't feel comfortable with that one and we are so glad we switched! read more

Probably sufficient for routine exams - we received the equivalent of drive thru medical support in our initial visits. But for in-depth expertise or evaluation, they are woefully inadequate and unhelpful. With so many other options for pediatric providers, we'll be going elsewhere. read more

Pear Pediatrics is terrible. They didn't even ask basic questions at my son's first physical like... is there any known allergies? Has your child had any prior surgeries? Has your child been diagnosed with any medical disorder? No inquiries about my child's past medical issues. If they had asked questions the answers to all would have of been 'yes' which would of lead to more questions. We never went back. We've had more questions asked at a sport's physical than we did with Pear Pediatrics. read more

I absolutely love this office. Baffled at all the one stars. Never had any trouble getting in for an emergency aka fever. Staff is always friendly and consistent. This has been our Pediatrician for over 3 years with zero issues. The Dr is great!!! read more

We never had a bad experience when we visited but felt like it grew so fast. Trying to make an appointment became more difficult and we never saw the same person. The different doctors we saw had different views of medicine, some more natural and some more modern. read more

Look no further you have found your pediatric doctor for life! Dr. Ewert and her staff go out of their way to make you feel like your child is their top priority. Dr. Ewert is thorough during examinations and patient when explaining or answering questions. She doesn't rush and leave you feeling like your child is just a number-I've been to a few of those:-( The staff is sweet and efficient and seem to genuinely care. I love it here and so will you! Oh, added bonus...There are NO toys in the waiting room :-) Toys in doctors' offices are germ hotbeds!!! Who could ever think this was a great idea??? Anyway, I appreciate PEAR pediatrics recognizing this and taking the extra step in caring for the welfare of my child. I always keep a toy or two in a ziplock bag in my purse-better safe than sorry! I will recommend PEAR pediatrics to everyone I know! Top notch service!!! read more

Dr. Jerald Mefferd is my son's pediatrician. My son is a newborn, and as a first time mother, he answers all of my questions promptly and with clarity. He speaks with validity and is very knowledgable. He never rushes our appointments and I appreciate the convenience of communicating via patient portal with the physician. I value their office for taking extra precautions during this time of uncertainty. Thank you Dr. Jerald Mefferd and staff. read more

We saw Dr. Ewert today for our newborns first appt! She was amazing! So, so sweet and attentive! Sounds very knowledgeable in what she does! Definitely my favorite pediatrician after going through them for 7 years with my son! Absolutely never leaving staff is very sweet and welcoming as well! read more

At first all was well. Then it got to where we could not get my grand son in to be seen even for emergency/sick visits. After I wrote a google review that changed and they got better about being able to get in. Then.... My grand son needed shots ,they told her he had to do a well visit first even though they have seen him many times before and know he is healthy. Then... he fell at the pool and hit his head and was not acting right so we call them and they said to bring him in he may have a concussion or worse. So she brings him in, they then go on to tell her they wont see him unless the balance was paid. She was unaware of a balance, at the last visit she found out they did not file a claim an d apparently still didnt file the claims. So because she couldnt pay over $600 which why a office visit would be that much is beyond me, she took him to the ER where they diagnosed him with a concussion. Then he broke out in a rash and she had to reschedule his well visit/shot visit due to this and she once again had to take him to a hospital because they would not see him due to balance. She then got a letter of dismissal. Which I think is really because I wrote a review about how they treat their patients and how their billing department doesnt know what its doing. Not to mention I have taken my own children here and received misdiagnosis. I would never recommend this office to anyone. read more

My daughter has asthma and constantly gets upper respiratory infections, her specialist and pcp are a good 40 mins away from us since we moved. It seemed like her specialist has lost interest in her after treating her for 3 years so when my daughter had on and off fever for 3 weeks and he didnt prescribed any medication i decided it was time to take her to her pediatric , but being a mom with a newborn and a sick toddler driving to frisco would take up my whole day! So i looked up Pear Pediatrics and i called and they were able to get me in same day ! I was so thankful because my daughter wasnt feeling well. From Teresa who worked us in, to the medical assistant in the back and the Doctor who took her time with us and showed her concern and was very patient with me! I now have decided she will be my kids pediatrician from now on! read more

We have been taking our 3 kids to Pear Pediatrics for over a year. Dr Ewert is really great. You never feel rushed and she genuinely cares about our kiddos. She's also open minded and respectful of her patients wishes. Highly recommend. read more

We love Pear Pediatrics! They truly care about our kids and are quick to say "can you be here in 10 minutes?" If we have an emergency fever/illness. In several years, we have seen all the NPs and doctors, and adore them all. They are quick to respond to emails on their family portal. read more

I am so so relieved to have found Dr.Ewert. She is amazing, as well as her staff. She and her staff go out of their way to make sure all of your questions and needs are answered. The online patient portal is GREAT! You can write her and she will respond same day! We will definitely be patients for as long as possible!! (: read more

The staff that answers the phones have been unfriendly since day 1. However we love the PA so we kept them as our primary pediatrician. They do not believe in speaking over the phone and demand everything is handled via their portal. Monday my toddler was diagnosed with a sinus infection even though she showed symptoms of the flu, did not test her for anything but strep throat. The day after Christmas she had not improved at all so I called to talk to a nurse for advise if we should come back in or to wait. Of course I was told to send a message via the portal and I would receive a response by 4pm. When I said that doesn't make sense because if she had to be seen that wouldn't leave enough time before they closed . I was told we use the portal and was hung up on. I called back and spoke to an office "manager" and she was just as rude and refused to provide any assistance. I made an appt but when I showed up they had no record. I took my daughter to carenow and she tested positive for flu B. They do not care about their patients and unfortunately for the good doctors the care starts at the front desk. They do not want to be bothered and want you to rely on a portal for your child's health. read more

We love Dr. Ewert. She is very attentive and takes her job very seriously. She is very thorough and very knowledgeable. She knew all about the condition our son has, and exactly how to treat it, while most doctors have never even heard of it. She is also very friendly. Best doctor around! The receptionist and nurse are also very nice. The nurse is very kind to the children... I can tell she feels bad when she has to give them shots. Office is very clean, and good hygiene is used by everyone, which is very important to me. read more

I'm reviewing based upon only calling them for the first time and how amazing customer service was. My son will be a new patient and I called and spoke to Teresa 3 times. And each time she was amazing! Polite, cheerful, and just sweet as can be. I can't wait to meet her. We have to register our child online before making an appointment. Website is so helpful and user friendly. Can't wait to reevaluate when I actually visit the place and Dr. Anne Ewert. 8-16-16 Just came in for my sons first appointment! Everyone was sooo nice and friendly! I was greeted by a very sweet Intern didn't get her name sorry. And lovely Teresa! Wow! The front staff was absolutely delightful to meet! Smiles from ear to ear. Ambiance was crisp and clean! We were taken back by Rachel the nurse! Very sweet and gentle with my son! And how amazed I am with Dr. Ewert! She was just so amazing.
