The Peaks Grill is a good place to come in and warm up when skiing cold days on the slopes. The food and drink is priced not too badly, since it is at a ski resort. Classic poutine is $14, sweet Thai chicken chili poutine is $16. There's plenty of space to sit on inside. The wifi was pretty decent. They kept enough craft beer selections on hand. I was there during Family Weekend, so some ran out due to the large crowds that were there. Service can be hit or miss depending on whether there's enough help scheduled. read more

Busy little place. We sat on the patio. Music was a bit on the loud side inside. We stayed upstairs in the Lodge, so it was very convenient. Service was good, considering the one person was taking care of the whole place. Food came out fairly quickly. Onion Soup was excellent. Buyer Chicken was awesome. Wind we're also very good. We asked for a minute to look at the menu and our server never came back to take our order for over 25 minutes. The tables that sat after us got their order taken and food brought out which was what made us walk out. They weren't busy... only had 5 other tables. Disappointed because I was excited to try the pulled pork poutine fries. I have never had service that terrible.... Do not recommend until they train their staff. read more

Nice little bottom of the mountain grill. The beer is good, and the wings were surprisingly good. I asked for extra hot sauce on the side, but what I got was wings tossed in Frank's Extra Hot sauce. I didn't know this was an option until I saw a bottle on the table. I'd have ordered it that way if I'd have known. They were pretty crispy and pretty spicy. It's the only thing that I'd really call spicy this whole trip. I only wish the service was a bit faster. read more

Located in the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort (winter skiing, summer hiking) this surprising restaurant serves up freshly prepared food from fresh ingredients that is first rate grill fare with a local Canadian flair. An example would be the delicious dry pork ribs that are deliciously seasoned and served hot and crispy. Smaller than typical baby backs, these meaty mini ribs are lean and "dry" rather than slathered in BBQ sauce. On successive nights, two of us also enjoyed excellent fish and chips, chicken burger with brie cheese and the Peaks burger with bacon and Canadian cheddar cheese. We also loved the freshly prepared, cooked to order onion rings. Upon inquiring we were told the summer (off season) chef is the winter sous chef who likes to try new innovations when he takes over in the summer. He is clearly talented, turning out quality food in the kind of tourist setting that one typically expects only average meals. If you are a skier or hiker or just traveling in the Canadian Rockies, make it a point to visit this unique mountain grill just outside Golden, BC. read more

Food is typical pub food and has gotten better over the years. Servers try very hard to be attentive given how crowded and busy it is. Poutine had decent amt of gravy but not real cheese curds (expected). Chili was not great and also had some spiciness to it despite the server saying it wasn't spicy. We had ordered for our kids one of whom can't eat spicy at all. Her favourite chili is tim Hortons chili! French onion soup had a very distinctive herb taste which I didn't like but my husband did. Good Cesar's and the burgers are good too ... Is a very nice place for a skiing club... I wouldn't say it was excellent but it was not bad... The soup was good and the service was a little slow for me, but at least was friendly.. read more

Awesome food options. You can eat healthy while your friends pig out. I recommend the quinoa salad. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. There is often live music and great ski or bike porn on the TV. BEST ceasars! read more

The food somewhat salvaged what began and ended as a completely unprofessional and mysterious experience. I called to order for pick-up and was "greeted" by a very impatient man who spoke so quickly I hadn't a clue what he said. Immediately coming to the conclusion that they were very busy I just said "order for pick-up please". There was chaotic noise in the back ground of the restaurant and he kept shouting at me "what", "what" with a tone inferring it was my fault he couldn't hear my order. My order consisted of three items and after each one he would say "okay is that it", "okay is that it". No, that's not it. When I stop ordering then "that will be it". Anyway, my order ended off with me asking if they could add hot sauce to my BBQ wings order, which apparently they couldn't do. Okay? The call then ended without them asking me for a name, a phone number or a pick-up time. I wasn't even sure my order was even sent to the kitchen because of the bizarreness of the conversation. I then headed to the restaurant expecting to see a mad house of patrons. Wrong. The place was barely occupied. What the heck? Why was this man I spoke to so impatient and right out rude to me on the phone? Anyway, my order was ready, to my disbelief, and while paying I noticed a bus bin containing 15-20 jars of hot sauce sitting right beside my order. The same hot sauce that I was told they couldn't add to my BBQ chicken wings??? I proceeded to open the container and perform the effortless task of adding a few drops to my wings myself. So, to sum it up I felt that my business was nothing but a hassle for them starting with the impatient phone call to the denial of a simple food request to the shock of seeing a half busy restaurant upon arrival. Food was 7/10. Service was a generous 2/10. I WILL NOT be eating there again. read more

Service here is apparently not import because I've been 3 times and it's terrible. The wings were old like they'd been served then refried. Tables were greasy. Place Needs staff that aren't kids. read more
