We got a loaded Canadian burger and a butter chicken bowl with rice and tsazimi (no onions) and we' were happy with our orders! I also got a Long Island iced tea that came out promptly before the food- which was great- and he got aight blonde recommended draft beer that was also good! In all, a good food experience in Golden and we both have leftovers for lunch, so : bonus! Enjoy!

We were heading up to Kickinghorse for a hike and wanted a nice meal before we started the trek. I ordered the steak sandwich. It was done perfectly. My steak tasted so good, cooked just as I had requested and seasoned very well. The caeser salad was delicious. It cost me $23. My friend ordered the spicy chicken wrap also with a caeser salad and she had nothing but good things to say about. We ate every last bite. We started asking our server what we should do for the day, he's the one who suggested the hike, he also told us that if we buy a specific pass we can go up 7700 feet hike the mountain AND visit the grizzly bear refuge and meet Boo the bear. He gave us a story of Boo and then told us to have a drink at the restaurant on the mountain which is the highest restaurant in Canada. Our entire day was set by that meal. Great hospitality and great meal. Come here for the food and ask them what you should do for the day.

While on vacation in Golden, British Columbia, Whitetooth Mountain Bistro is a restaurant that…read morecaptures the spirit of the Canadian Rockies. With the stunning Kootenay Mountains and Dogtooth Range as its backdrop, the atmosphere feels both distinctly mountain-town and surprisingly sophisticated. The interior is casual yet elegant, with warm sage-green walls, food photography, locally sourced wood accents, and rich chocolate-brown booths and banquettes. It strikes that perfect balance of cozy and casual dining. We started with the Yam Fries, which were crispy, savory, and topped with garlic, Parmesan, and basil, with a bright lime aioli on the side. The combination of flavors were a highlight, especially the contrast between the richness of the Parmesan and the fresh citrusy aioli. For my entrée, I ordered the Black Cod: pan-seared Atlantic black cod with lemon butter, seasonal vegetables, pea risotto, leek, and orange salsa. The cod was the standout, delicate, buttery, and nicely prepared. I especially enjoyed the combination of the creamy pea risotto with the brightness of the leek and orange salsa. It was a thoughtfully composed dish that felt both comforting and fresh. It was a substantial portion size and I was able to take food to-go. My friend ordered this dish as well and it was large enough to split! This might have been my favorite culinary dish in Canada. I also appreciate that Whitetooth makes an effort to use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, and the daily food and drink specials give you another reason to return and see what's being offered. Service was a bit slow during our visit, although the restaurant was busy, and we ended up with the last available table in the dining area. Given the setting and the overall experience, the wait was ultimately manageable. Whitetooth Mountain Bistro is a lovely representation of Golden, relaxed enough for outdoor enthusiasts, welcoming to families, and polished enough for a romantic dinner. Add in the mountain views, cozy atmosphere, and beautifully prepared food, and it's easy to see why this is a place worth seeking out when visiting Golden.
