Reposados emphasizes fresh ingredients and handmade preparations, including their corn tortillas and grilled street-style meats, and you can definitely see that philosophy reflected in the menu. The check-in line was pretty long, which was frustrating because I really just wanted to grab a drink at the bar. Once we got settled in, though, there were plenty of interesting things to try. I started with the Mezcal Plum Margarita, made with mezcal, Japanese plum wine, plum juice, lime, citric plum mist, and finished with a vanilla & cinnamon salt rim. It was a creative take on a margarita, fruity, smoky, tart, and nicely spiced from the rim. I also tried the Stolen Margarita, made with mezcal, peppercorn & ginger-infused vodka, mango togarashi shrub, miso, lime, and a togarashi Tajín salt rim. This was definitely a more adventurous cocktail, with smoky, spicy, savory, and tangy flavors all coming through. There is also a $2 jar deposit for the cocktail jar. For tacos, the Baja Pescado was my favorite. The crispy cod paired really well with the cabbage and carrot slaw, mango-jalapeño salsa, Repos sauce, pickled onions, and cilantro. The combination of crispy, fresh, sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors made this the standout taco for me. The Carne Asada featured slow-braised beef with salsa taquera, crispy potatoes and onions, and cilantro. Lots of hearty flavors and textures. The Chile Brussels taco was creative but way too spicy for me. It comes with crispy Brussels sprouts, honey chili crunch, whipped cotija and goat cheese, pickled red onion, peanuts, and cilantro. The combination sounded fantastic, but the heat overwhelmed the other flavors. Unfortunately, my to-go tacos were cold, which was disappointing and took away from what could have been a much better experience. Overall, I enjoyed the creative cocktails and the Baja Pescado was the clear taco winner. The long check-in line and cold to-go food were misses, but there are definitely some fun and inventive flavors here worth exploring.

There were kids, teens, and adults there all having fun. The place was packed when we showed up around 7pm so we played a couple rounds of pool and had some cocktails before we got on the lanes. Not sure if they do reservations but I might suggest checking that out if you are going on a weekend. 5-pin was different but fun and challenging. You use small bowling balls with no finger holes and get three turns per frame instead of two. The points multiply if you strike or spare in the first two turns of the frame, but not on the third turn. I enjoyed the uniqueness of the game but lost 3 of 4 games to my wife. The only draw back to The Cabin was the limited food menu, but I wouldn't take a star away from them for that. Because we started around 8 and bowled 4 games, many of the restaurants had closed by the time we were done. We ended up finding some great pizza at the local bar, The Village Idiot. In summary: great drinks, fun atmosphere, and friendly staff. Not your typical bowling alley. I definitely plan to come back on my next trip to Revelstoke!
