I can't say enough great things about DJ and his professionalism. It was important to us to make…read moresure a small local company got our business, so I simply searched garage installers in Sun Prairie and by luck found DJ. DJ made the whole process very easy--it was handled all by email-he was prompt in his responses, was upfront about what his pricing was and what his availability was. We did order a door through him-and we were able to make the payment for the door online. This was convenient--and not all small businesses offer electronic payments. Again, made it even easier to do business with him! We will certainly be recommending DJ to anyone who is in need of a new garage door.

Last night we had the true test of our new door and windows. South Central Wisconsin was hit with…read moresevere thunderstorms. The rain just poured for a good 20 minutes or so. Not only did it rain hard but very strong winds blew directly into our new door and windows. With our old windows and doors, we would have been on hands and knees with towels and mops sopping buckets of water from our wood floors. This time we stayed absolutely dry. I was actually surprised we didn't get a even little leakage due to the intensity of the wind and volume of rain we had last night but, no, not a single drop. Can't say enough good about Thebco. You won't go wrong selecting them to replace your windows and doors.

In the late summer of 2023, I had our three slider windows replaced. Due to our condo regulations,…read moreThebco is the only approved company to do that work. Last fall, I reported that I felt they weren't working properly. When their service technician came out, I was told that the sashes were a quarter of an inch shorter than they should have been. He ordered new sashes. When they arrived, he installed them in two windows but in the third the latches didn't line up. He told me that he would order new ones and install the latches himself. On January 19th, one of the windows that was replaced in the master bedroom had a seal failure and there was ice in the bedroom, which I let Thebco know about. On May 20th, the service technician brought only one sash with the wrong latches. I called Thebco in early July and received an email apologizing blaming the manufacturer for the delay. I called again on July 17th and haven't received a response. Was Canadian wild fire smoke getting into our bedroom, and did I have increased utility costs with windows that may not be operating at 100%? Is this what you would consider good customer service?

They took a look at the door, told us they could do the job, and then left. We didn't hear from them for a week. Right before we were about to call another company, Schmitz calls us and says they can get the seal on our door, with an 11:30 appointment time. The team showed up again around 8 AM, swapped the seal quickly, and then left all their trash from the job. I'm not impressed. Yeah, we got our new seal, but it took a whole week for no reason, and the company can't keep their own schedule.

I have worked with them on a variety of interior & exterior home painting and remodel projects through the years. Without fail, they completely crush it (in the best way possible) every single time I work with them for a project near the Madison and Fitchburg area. More specifically, the owners Matt and Andre have an extraordinary focus on customer care and quality that I've never seen in past painting contractors I have worked with in Madison. By all means, I ardently recommend 3rd Gen Painting for any Madison house painting or deck building needs you may have.
