    A friend and I made a pilgrimage to the Peak Design store last weekend and we had an experience that far exceeded any expectations I might've had! A super friendly young guy, Ethan, greeted us. I told him I was embarrassed to have brought a Peak Design camera strap and the Capture device with me, in hopes that someone could help me attach them to my camera and bag, respectively. He had the most fantastic response: "We love to do that! That's why we have felt work pads on this counter!" He gestured to a spacious work counter and, there, he helped me attach my strap to my camera and my Capture to my bag. It was wonderful. And I now know how to do these things myself, because he showed me what he was doing. We also learned that the shop will let you host a screening of your work (say, a film or photos) there after they close for the day. And they are constantly hosting free photography walks in the neighborhood and other cool events. There was another guy working there that day and he too was great--warm and welcoming. And the store is so well laid out and the product line is awesome. Everything is thoughtfully designed by industrial engineers who I think are also into photography. Cannot recommend this brand or this location enough.

    Came in with a broken 20L everyday backpack that I got in San Francisco in 2018 (7 years ago). After a few minutes, without much question, I was given a brand new one due to the lifetime warranty and no cost at all! Super smooth and easy transaction Decided to stick around and check out the whole store. It's nice that they have all their options on display. I discovered that this shop opened only one month ago! Compared to the SF location I could say that this store is twice the size and staff is very welcoming! Had a good chat with Connor and Ian and ended up buying a small camera cube and got a store pin to go along with it. They have their grand opening next weekend. Very excited for that the fire holds for this location!

    We are visiting from Honolulu HI and when I saw there was a brick and mortar location for Peak Design I made sure it was at the top of my list to visit. It was my first time stepping foot inside a physical store and I was blown away by how beautiful the store was and the customer service. I was welcomed by V, he was able to answer all my questions and more. V was personable and such a pleasure to talk to. I probably could have spent the rest of the evening talking about Peak Design products with him. I originally came in only wanting to get a couple of items but left purchasing 9 items. V made my visit extraordinary! Peak Design for life!

    Love this store! We got the Outdoor Sling, the packing cubes, and the iPhone case. Yana is awesome! She is SO knowledgeable, so patient, and SO helpful. We love this store and our experience because of her. Ask for Yana!!

    I came in the other day for an event the other week and was interested in doing some shopping for myself and for gifts. V was extremely helpful and dedicated in showing me a lot of the product I was looking at and is very passionate about what he does. He is a great addition to the store and made the shopping process very easy and gave a great demo on one of the bags I was looking at! Would recommend asking for him next time if you come by and visit!

The store is remarkable and serves the Board community well. The thing about Arbor over other sporting goods type stores is that the products designed and materials used follow strict sourcing requirements to reduce the impact to earth. I got my first Arbor shirt at REI over 20 years ago and have been an avid follower of their products. I ended up buying several sweatshirts and hoodies which were embroidered or printed in very cool fashion. All the items I purchased were 50 percent off and are of great quality. The cashier and main employee was really nice, as we had nice conversations about our dogs and how she got into boarding. With such nice savings, I'll be back for value priced summer clothing in the next few months.

Forced and contrived, like he was about to twist my arm. It's very uncomfortable. NO IS A COMPLETE SENTENCE. They do not understand what NO means. Terrible training on management. I've attached screen shots from Google reviews from other customers that have experienced this obnoxious pushy behavior from their employees. It seems to be an ongoing issue to harass their customers. I would recommend doing the drive to their Manhattan Beach location, as other customers have recommended to avoid the obnoxious abuse.

Then when I got my rope, it was ringing up at a different price at the counter than what it was labeled on the shelf. They had the labels switched and wanted to charge me $10 extra for their mistake. When you do specialty retail, you should be able to answer basic product questions. When YOU make a mistake in labeling, you as the business should own up to it, and you take the hit and then go fix the label on the shelf so it doesn't help. The 3 star rating makes sense now.

My husband was looking at his phone and she blurts out "you want it or not?". We told her yes but I had to explain to her he is just taking a moment to look up the price. Normally someone at the register gives the total price when purchasing not sub total. I walked away once my husband got the receipt and was already a good ways away from the register and she yells out "Good Bye!" In the most patronizing tone. It was the cherry on top for this review. We are all human and can do better but this right here is why online shopping and self check out is putting cashiers out of jobs. Maybe she should remember that the next time she wants to be unjustifiably rude and try to make people feel less than with "you want it or not?". So if you want your intentions to be buy something rudely questioned in front of other guests than this is the place and Jaslene is your go to.

As I approached the door, I was warmly greeted by an associate who even opened the door for me -- a small gesture that made a big impression. She immediately let me know they likely had the part in stock, took the suitcase to the back, and had it fixed in under 10 minutes. Before I left, I asked for her name -- Lexie. She was incredibly helpful and professional throughout. Kudos to Lexie and the team for delivering truly exceptional customer service -- quick, friendly, and hassle-free. Couldn't have asked for a smoother experience.

    I had a very disappointing experience with the Away store in Venice due to inaccurate information…read moreand inconsistent customer service. I called the store just before closing the evening before my visit specifically to confirm that the suitcase I wanted to exchange for was available in the color I wanted. The employee assured me they had several in stock. Based on that information, I made the trip to the store the next morning, arriving before opening and becoming the first customer through the door. Because I believed the suitcase was available, I also carried my existing suitcase approximately three-quarters of a mile to the store so I could complete the exchange. Once I spoke with the staff, I was initially told the suitcase wasn't available after all. I was then told they could have one shipped to me for an additional $20 expedited shipping fee. When I asked why I should have to pay that fee after making the trip based on incorrect information provided by the store, I was told that none of their warehouses had the color I wanted in stock--even though I had just been told that the West Hollywood store had that exact color available. Receiving multiple contradictory answers during a single interaction was frustrating and made it difficult to have confidence in the information being provided. Mistakes happen, but when a customer calls ahead specifically to avoid an unnecessary trip, they should be able to rely on the information they receive. After traveling to the store and carrying a suitcase three-quarters of a mile based on the assurance I was given, I expected the mistake to be acknowledged and handled in a way that respected my time. Away positions itself as a premium brand, and I expected the customer service to reflect that. Unfortunately, this experience fell well short of those expectations.
