I just wanna take a peek.. inside and it's honestly kinda dark in there as if you're not at the PEAK of the mountain. Plenty of drink options, shaved ice that looked tasty.. I got a strawberry matcha with almond milk. Didn't really like it, kinda bland. Also note when they ask for your name they may write it down wrong and call a different name over and over again. I told her my name was shawna she wrote it down as sienna, how is that even close?? Besides that fluke, drink was made quickly for how many people were ahead of me. Plenty of seats inside does get busy since csun is near by, parking lot is super compact.

Mango bingsoo

Yes, this cafe is indeed peak. One of the best in the northridge area with such great seating and a great study space, along with great drinks and desserts. We had their corn latte and matcha latte, as well as their mango bingsoo and it was top notch! There's nothing like this place in northridge with the exception of maybe a couple coffee spots possibly. But there is no place that's honestly better. It has it all. Service is great, food and drinks are great, space and ambiance is incredible. Plenty of parking! Highly recommended!

Matcha Squared

Definitely one of the better matchas I've had. I ordered the Matcha Squared (double matcha) and loved both the flavor and the name. We stopped by on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy, which is understandable given that it's in a college community. There's plenty of seating, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or come solo for a drink and study session.

I've been wanting to find a matcha spot in the valley and stumbled across Peak Cafe. The inside is nice and is a great study spot. It took the servers a little while to take my order, but they were busy. I found a nice spot to sit and read at while I drank my matcha. The matcha itself was on the sweeter side. I would have preferred it less sweet, but it was still good.

Matcha latte and banana latte

Had to come back to Peak since I was in the area and it did not disappoint! I got the lavender earl gray matcha latte with half sweetness and it was perfect. I got the standard matcha latte last time but really enjoyed the flavored option way more - highly recommend you check out their limited time flavors! I was able to do a bit of work here - seating is a bit limited and there are few outlets, but the drinks make up for it. Would definitely be back.

Perfect combination.

We enjoyed our visits at Peak Cafe and glad to have found another awesome cafe in the San Fernando Valley that offers both delicious specialty coffee drinks and excellent customer service. Peak Cafe has plenty of parking spots available and also plenty of tables and chairs for dining inside. Peak Cafe has a very welcoming and open ambiance. The cashier and barista at the counter consistently provides excellent customer service whenever we stop by for coffee. Our favorites at Peak Coffee are Biscoffee, Goguma (Sweet Potata) Latte, Pumpkin Peak Spice Latte, Banana Latte, Peaked Up Latte, Matcha and Injeoimi Latte (iced). We have yet to try the other specialty coffee drinks on their menu. We are looking forward to trying them out with every visit.

Comfortable and clean environment

Love the energy and vibes here. The clean and comfortable environment looks like a popular spot for CSUN students. We enjoyed our bingsu, which was sizable and quickly prepared. Recommend and will be back.

GOGUMA (SWEET POTATO) LATTE W/MATCHA
Juliet G.

Always a 10/10 ~ service, atmosphere, restroom and food / drink execution. Peak Cafe is the only cafe in the area with a goguma (sweet potato) latte! It's currently on their seasonal menu (as of February 2026) but they should really consider adding it to their permanent menu because WOW. I haven't had a sweet potato latte in ages, and I ordered this one with matcha + oat milk, but the combination of flavors is soooo tasty! The sweetness from the sweet potato as well as the dalgona topping just works so well with the matcha. This is something I'll be returning regularly for. It's just so damn good! I had to leave a review before I take my final sip. Thank you for bringing the best sweet potato latte to the valley!

Injeolmi latte iced

I came here on Sunday with my mom to meet with my aunt and cousin. I ordered the plant based Injeolmi latte with ice. The latte art on our drinks was very pretty and the barista was very nice. Drinks took a while to make because it was quite busy here on a Sunday afternoon. We barely found seats. I really liked the spaciousness and cheery vibes here. And look at how cute my drink was.

Super cute very young crowd type of place. We ordered to go and enjoyed our drinks during a walk. Service was great and they offered suggestions! Great drinks and great vibes.

I came to Peak Cafe with my friends to try them out since I heard great things about them from my sister like 2 weeks ago, just forgot to write a review. We came on a weekend and arrived a little before they open so we had to wait outside. They already had a line forming so you know this is a popular place. There limited parking in front of the place but you can park in the plaza this store is in and just walk here because there more parking. The inside of the place is spacious with a lot of seating. My friend got a black coffee, another friend got the cold hazelnut latte, another friend got the sunrise tonic and I got the po chee tonic since the person working the cashier recommend it. He said it taste like Sprite I also ordered the banana brulee for my sister to go. It didn't take them long to make out drinks and we just had to pick it up at the counter. We sat inside of the place to just hang out and talk. My friends like their drinks but I didn't really like mine because of the little lynchee in the drink. It didn't really taste like Sprite in my opinion. The banana brulee when I took it home was a crowd favorite so I would recommend that.

Hojicha latte w oat milk, no sugar, hot
Trin H.

|[ m a t c h a l u v ]| 4.5 stars rounded up! LOVE that they can make things sugar-free like hojicha and matcha lattes! I tried these and they were amazing! Hojicha latte w oat milk - hot is prob my fav. It's perfect for the winter weather and so rich in flavor. :) I only wish they had bigger sizes. Matcha latte hot is also rly delicious, matcha flavor is rich as well. |[ e v e r y t h i n g e l s e ]| Great service, cute ambiance and decor (I love the color scheme and big space). Parking lot out front. Super happy about this place and hope the quality doesn't change. |[ n o t e s ]| Only downsides are no WiFi on Sundays and no loyalty program--hope this changes bc it's rare for me to find a cafe near me that I love.

Samantha L.

I got the strawberry matcha and all I can say is I wish I was still enrolled at CSUN to be able to experience studying and doing homework at this place. The matcha is amazing. About 8$ for this medium cup which is pretty average price but this is where you will get the most bang for your buck in terms of flavor. The decor is so beautifully relaxing and there's lots of space.

Don't even get me started on their little fruit bowls with the cream ball thing and Nutella sauce dip they serve with the breakfast! Drinks are phenomenal. I'm a huge sweet cream type of girl, so the butterscotch is my go to. I'm a creature of habit and I highly recommend this drink to anyone who has a sweet tooth with a coffee addiction. Don't get me started on how nice the place feels and looks inside. Like a lot of people described, it is super cozy and welcoming. They have a big mirror near the entrance you can take pictures with your friends at, and as a girl, I looove it haha. There's two levels, like a loft area you can chill at if you like towering over all the other customers. I love high places so that's my favorite spot to chill. The store itself is very well themed and the decore is pretty cool. Service was even better. The good looking guy with curly hair (I think his name is Luis) who serves me on occasion is always so sweet and polite, great customer service skills. Too bad for me he has a gf, but we looove a loyal king who loves his girl! The other employees are great too btw everyone has a great attitude every time I've been, they handle the stress of the rushes well and are easy to relate to. They make it feel less as a transaction, and more like seeing a friendly acquaintance you get to catch up with. Clearly Yellowhouse has employees who know what they're doing with being not only efficient, but delivering quality drinks and service. Great all around, 10/10 would recommend.

If you cannot get street parking in front of the cafe, you are better off parking in the Harbor Freight parking lot off Nordhoff and taking the 2 minute walk. Yellow House is nestled between other small businesses but you won't miss the entrance as it is highlighted by a big yellow wall. Ambiance: The exterior of the building almost plants the idea that the cafe will be small, but once entering the building you get a different feeling. The interior is spacious even having 2 stories. The interior exudes a calm, cozy, minimalistic feel. It really does feel like you are walking into a warm inviting yellow home, albeit a little loud and busy. There is a good amount of natural light coming from all the windows and depending on the time of year, they also decorate for each holiday. Drinks: We have gotten the tiramisu iced latte, creme brulee matcha, Earl grey Matcha, and Strawberry matcha, and sea salt caramel americano. Order all drinks half sweet or you'll get a cavity- heed the warning of this tooth fairy. But in all seriousness, their drinks are SWEET so be aware. All of the drinks taste like what they advertise though which is amazing! If you're looking for top tier matcha quality this isn't the place, this isn't Rocky's matcha but if you're in sheer desperation and ache for some green drink derived from leaves, it'll work. Service: Everyone is nice and the drinks come out pretty quickly considering their crafted nature. Overall: There's a reason we keep coming back! It's reliable, has lots of cool varieties, and consistent! Although I will say a bit overpriced, but that seems to be everywhere these days so eh.

Parking was easy to find, they have a lot and there are several surrounding free parking lots. The cafe inside was clean and well designed with several tables - by the time we got out drinks, a table had cleared up and we sat down. We ordered the matcha einspanner and the hojicha einspanner. The matcha was high quality, very rich and strong. The cream added a nice sweetness, but it wasn't overall sweet or bitter either. I love hojicha and always recommend it as an alternative to matcha or coffee at cafes. The hojicha here was chocolatey and smooth, absolutely amazing! Very well balanced and well made drinks - and they are absolutely photogenic as well ;) Highly recommend!

They have a small and limited parking lot behind the coffee shop as well as some street parking open on Reseda and Dearborn. There's a Trader Joe's and Chili's across the street with more parking as well and I have parked behind Dave's Hot Chicken and the Habit and there is always space there. Ambiance: This coffee shop is quaint and feels a little cramped when you finally get inside and through the line. There is a counter top with some chairs as well as one couch and desk where one can study although, I personally never would. It's clean and bright with a minimalistic vibe inside. With it being cramped, you basically just get in, order, and get out. It's rare to find seating inside and it can feel overwhelming just sitting there trying to enjoy your drink with so many people around. Drinks: We've been there multiple times and you can always expect the same- mid, slightly overpriced, oh- getting some post purchase clarity. But it's the type of slightly regretful decision we continue to make every time. We've gotten the matcha einspanner on several occasions, vanilla iced latte, caramel latte, and the most disgusting Americano known to man. Whether you get the dark or light roast Americano, you will not run away from the burnt and bitter flavor. Service: The line moves quickly, they take your order and get you in and out without a long wait. They also offer stamp cards, buy 10 get the 11th free. What a steal! Gimme 10 more! Overall: All this to say, it's oddly grown to be a valley staple, and represents some bordering LA values- overpriced, overhyped, but for some reason addicting in the fact you always seem to go back. I would say 3.5 but it doesn't allow it, so I'm feeling generous today.

Ambiance: Cafe 86 is a, they specialize in coffee and matcha and truly have an expansive menu featuring lots of delicious ube variations. There is a good amount of seating in the cafe, from normal tables to a couch to lounge on. The interior of the cafe is lined with brick and the warm lighting casts a soft cozy feeling. There is ample space to sit and enjoy your drink. I'd even say it's a good spot to study as it is spacious and does not get too loud. Drinks/food: We've tried the Iced Ube Matcha latte, Iced sea salt latte, Iced Ube Latte, as well as the Ube truffles. I love the ube flavor and it pairs perfectly with their matcha. They don't use the highest quality matcha but the ube flavor carries and still provides a nice tasty drink. The iced coffee was good, a little too sweet and kind of just an average latte, nothing to write home about. The ube truffles are something sweet that hit the spot if you have that sweet ube craving. They are soft and chewy and just the perfect bite. I am definitely biased in general because I really like ube so if you aren't the biggest fan you may not like it Overall this place does make their drinks on the sweeter side so going half sweet is smart if you don't want a blast of sugar. Service: Everyone thus far has been extremely friendly and welcoming! Overall: Cafe 86 is a solid spot if you are in the mood and have a craving for sweet, ube forward drinks and sweets. The menu is fun and unique, especially for anyone who enjoys ube flavors. The cafe itself offers a comfortable, inviting space that works well for hanging out or getting some work done. While the drinks can run on the sweeter side and some of the drinks are just average, the overall experience is still enjoyable. The friendly service and relaxed atmosphere is a calm choice for a new casual cafe stop, particularly if you are there for their ube specialties.

Curious, I ordered one. With my Cortado -- an admirable balance of espresso and frothy cream -- I found a table. Soon, he came by to confirm I'd get my slice. A young lady followed, letting me know the cake wouldn't be ready for a while. I told her it was no problem; I had work to do. I opened my laptop and became so engrossed that I didn't hear my name called. Another lucky customer got that elusive coffee cake -- it vanishes the moment it hits the counter. Mario was the third person to check on me. He told me another batch was in the oven, but I was leaving soon. He apologized and offered any pastry on the house, particularly recommending the chocolate chip cookies he had baked himself. I accepted. When he set down the cookie, I asked if I could order an Americano. He returned with that as well, on the house. The cookie was huge, freshly baked, loaded with chocolate chips and just enough walnuts to stay out of the way of the gooey goodness. I decided to go with the Mango Dragonfruit Jasmine ice tea. She offered me boba, popping boba, or custard add ons but I was just thirsty so I got it plain. Also it is awesome that you can choose how sweet you want to make your drink. I prefer drinks that are not very sweet so I got mine at 25% sweetness. The options are 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%.
