The dessert was just as good--soft, flavorful, and topped with the perfect crunch for contrast. You can tell Cafe 86 knows exactly what they're doing when it comes to ube. It's a great late-night dessert spot with a relaxed vibe and consistently solid quality. If you're an ube fan (or trying it for the first time), Cafe 86 is a must.

If I had went to school here it would have been the perfect study spot! I got to try a bakery item and a few other drinks. To be honest, I would stick with their ube products. The dragon berry calamansi just tasted really sweet. I got to try their ube butter bar and it's exactly as you would imagine! Super creamy and melts in your mouth. It's super sweet, so maybe that's why I didn't really enjoy my drink. The jasmine calamansi paired much better with the butter bar. I feel like it would go well with a hot jasmine tea. Lastly, their upside down halo halo is always a hit. Whenever we go to northridge I always have to make a stop here. Unfortunately, I do not stop by this area often anymore.

It's a beautifully decorated and aesthetically pleasing space with plenty of seating and even the bathrooms were nice and definitely well-maintained. I had the Coconut Cloud with Matcha and it was perfectly refreshing. I also sampled the Biscoffee and it had a strong espresso flavor that was well complemented by the sweet cookie butter flavor. The bungeoppang was freshly prepared and well worth the $5.50 for 2; the hotteok flavor was my favorite. Overall, Peak is a wonderful space and a comfy place to study in. No wifi on Sundays though!

The Bischoffee or Banana Latte or Corn Coffee were all very tempting but I went for my preferred drink these days Strawberry Matcha although as I stood there waiting for my drink (which quite a bit longer than my friends American) I was regretting not trying one of their insane looking coffee drinks (aka deserts). My BF said his Americano was excellent, not acidic or bitter in any way. My strawberry matcha was good, a bit too jammy, but not cloyingly sweet although the matcha itself was mildly flavored, it was highly caffeinated since it kept me from falling asleep at my regular time. If I was in the area I'd absolutely go back there again.

What a cute Vietnamese restaurant!!!…read more I love the beautiful outdoor seating amongst the greenery and lanterns with the Vietnamese clubbing music. Takes me back to Vietnam for a little bit. They have a simple menu but make everything well. I enjoyed the chicken wings with steamed rice. The wings were so good. A bit crunchy, very juicy, the sauce was sweet and savory. There was a ton of garlic and jalepeno. It was so delicious. And the steamed rice paired beautifully. The texture of the rice was so good. My partner had the chicken pho and shaking beef with garlic noodles. He enjoyed them both. He said the chicken was very tender and juicy. The noodles with the beef was his favorite. We both got pandan mung bean drink and fried bananas of course. The fried banana takes time to make, but worth the wait. It's so crunchy! Can't wait to come back to try the rice cakes next time.

The banana itself was not very sweet and you don't taste much of it. Mostly just taste that crunchy batter. Service was a bit slow both times I've been there and if there are one or two orders ahead of yours, be prepared to wait. Seems like only one person is preparing all the orders on two burners. They have other food that look delicious which I have yet to try. I would stop by again if I am in the area but this time, I would probably call in the order a head of time.
