Why does anybody order a pimento cheese sandwich? I guess I should say what the heck is it? We ordered it and it was God awful on wonder bread, it made me wonder what I was eating. The plantation was fantastic and I would love to return to that but not the café! It took them quite a while to spread this soft yucky stuff that they called cheese on white bread. I wouldn't, NOT recommend it and not sure if I would go there again because the service was not good at all.

The Peacock Cafe at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens is a great place to stop for a snack or drink while exploring the grounds. They have a really good assortment of different items available to choose from and the prices are not that high for the convenience of the location. They also have a nice shaded area with plenty of tables to sit down and enjoy everything and stay cool.

Pulled pork hoagie $8.5 (I already ate half of it.)

Peacock Cafe is the only place inside magnolia plantation to purchase food so plan ahead. My family went for a late lunch closer to 2 pm and the line was still a good 15 minute wait. They stop serving lunch items at 3 pm so by the time we got there a couple of selections like turkey & swiss sandwich, veggie wrap and chicken salad croissant were out of stock. I ordered the pulled pork hoagie and that was definitely worth the money! I'm surprised not a lot of people bought that since it was delicious and juicy and they give you a ton of pulled pork. My sister got the ham & Swiss sandwich...not impressed. Their soup of the day was clam chowder and that was pretty good too!

The only game in town if you plan on buying food in the gardens. Be prepared for a long wait (15 minutes plus) when it's crowded, and bring cash in case the CC machines don't work. Prices are steep for what you get, so you might want to hop in the car and drive to Chick-Fil-A down the street (free re entry if you keep your receipt) or BYO picnic lunch.

Fresh egg salad.

Really good egg salad and chicken salad at the plantation. Prices were reasonable for a tourist area. The package deal for a sandwich, a side order and a drink was $11.

Biggby Coffee is a gem! We went Sunday afternoon & I ordered a sweet foam pumpkin cold brew. My…read morehusband got an iced coffee & a sausage, egg, cream cheese bagel sandwich. I was able to snag a few bites. It was delicious! Warm & filling, it was a well-made sandwich. My cold brew was killer as well. And bonus if you're active military--they offer $1 off drinks over 20 ounces. We'll definitely be back. I want to try the turkey & havarti cheese bagel next!

What's better than a piping hot cup of fresh Joe, or... for those who defy the norm, iced coffee?…read more I can think of many things and being a former comedian, I'll refrain from stating. However, what tires my bones to the core is the inauthenticity of people that have taken over coffee culture; with their man-buns, little lap tops writing "the next great American novel," forearmed tattooed and blue haired activist that... Oh sorry, I got off topic a bit, shades of living in Austin TX. That said, I see the environment at Biggby set up to cater to those people, yet the new gen hippy takeover hasn't started. No, what I see from this dainty coffee bar are inviting pastel-colored walls, light toned wood chairs and tables, crayon inspired specials written on the windows and where ever along with their merch being pushed dead in front. It's an ok vibe in here and the people are simple, thus my whole rant about generation 3.14 isn't applicable here. As for the staff they're great and receptive of what you want to drink as well as giving suggestions. I got there when a lot of younger staff were working so I tried to spark up a conversation. Specifically, if she's tried Kopi Luwak (google it) and if she liked it. She had no idea what I was talking about so I switched to Taylor Swift, to which the conversation picked up. Concern for this generation resonated in my head, but hey at least we were talking, and she didn't ask to chat via snap chat! I kid... I kid. The staff here are very nice and they were playing 80s music (see how I dated myself?) which "I can name that song in three notes" and did. While I'm a medium roast coffee kind of guy and I like my coffee like the women I date; hot, sweet and blonde. I vary my selection by what I'm in the mood for, sometimes latte, sometimes hot or iced, sometimes mocha, you get the drift; and yes I'm talking about coffee (get your mind out of the gutter). But what I do appreciate is creativity in a beverage and a joint with the courage to put a creation on their menu. When I read the Butter bear latte stood out and I knew that was what I wanted. The butterscotch punched me in the mouth as a "you've never met someone like me before" love tap. The caramel snuck up from behind and smoothed out the experience while the coffee kept the band playing nice together. Scanning their menu, Biggby does commit to giving something different a real go and I applaud them for it. In summary, Biggby grinds their beans to order and this really enhances the quality of their coffee. Add to that they create an environment where one can feel safe while sitting inside or just stopping by with enthusiastic employees and it's a recipe for success. While I didn't sample their "edibles" (how's my parking?) they looked wonderful. To finish, the employees are great people, the ambiance is fun and the coffee is great. Stop by if you want something good to pick yourself up or rub elbows with a future leader of America.

The service can be a little shaky as you are dealing with culinary students but A for effort! Finding it the first time can be very tricky to say the least, leave yourself plenty of time. It is located on the campus of Trident Community College. There really are no signs. Look for building 920. It has an oval glass concave entryway. They only serve on Thursdays. Menus change regularly. The cost in 2023 is $21.80 including tax. This comes with water, coffee or tea, bread and butter plus 3 courses. I always leave with leftovers for another meal. 11:30/ lunch is the only time for reservations. Bathroom is very clean. Parking is easy as it is a big parking lot.

Our waiter was unfamiliar with what the foods on the menu for the day were. He had to find someone else to explain it to us. That is certainly something they can improve on. The waiters should know the food and be able to describe it. The food itself was delicious! We had three courses: appetizers, main course and dessert. There were two or three options for each one. The food was fresh, presented beautifully and tasted great! The fresh iced tea was awesome and they even offered a special flavored iced tea, which was nice. When we were there, it was a rosemary iced tea. It does take about an hour or so to get through the meal, so def set aside some time for it. When you arrive, be sure to know which building it is in. (Building 920) I got a nice walking tour of the campus, trying to find it. Also, their maps are printed backwards. (A faculty member had to tell me that, as I kept ending up in dead ends, when I should have been in a cross hallway. It was weird) Certainly make reservations. They do them via OpenTable (So you can get points!) I highly recommend trying it out if you have the time.
