Took car in November for a starter that was running. After a week and $480 bucks I get car back and…read morenext day I drive car 18 miles from my house turn car on and it does SAME thing!! I drive car back for them to fix it AGAIN. Ask them to do timing belt and everything needed since they have car. 2 weeks and a day later go pick up car pay $1058.00 get in car it starts and dies. Get Chris to try it dies on him. It is now the week before Christmas and I need to drive 2 hours. He swears it is just Mass Airflow Sensor and it will drive fine but I have to give it gas when it starts. I drive and it home (25 miles) and half way it is barely going. It has gone in limp mode. I go and buy MAF sensor get it put on by neighbor but that didn't fix anything. They told me to bring it back in the day after Christmas. I had to join AAA premier to tow it that far and rent a car to go celebrate Christmas late. Chris swore up and down and was rude that he didn't break it. Finally after 2.5 WEEKS I talk to Mike the owner and he has Chris tear it back apart (Chris had refused when I asked) and according to him the timing belt he installed was defective and it had skipped a tooth. So after 3 WEEKS he fixes it and it runs great again. I ask Chris for some reimbursement for $200 rental car and $ 125 AAA he said I am lucky he didn't charge me this time!!! I have never spent $1500.00 and have to tow car back to shop on their error (if he had test drove it he would have known something was wrong). Chris was rude and obviously uneducated on old Infiniti and I will never go back. From Nov 28 to Jan 8th and having to fix it twice from his errors and charging me $1500.00 I finally got my car.

Was charged $220 to diagnose & replace starter (intermittent no start)…read more Fixed the problem OK but when I asked about their warranty I was advised that there was no warranty on labor or parts. Seems to do good work, but I won't be back with the lack of warranty.

I just wanted to say thanks in a way that others can view. On 6/27/24, I was traveling with my son…read moreto a college baseball camp. I noticed a noise in my engine and shortly after the A/C went out in my 2004 H2 Hummer. I looked at the engine to find my A/C belt was off and bound up. At ~2 pm on a Thursday, I found Gerard's Automotive Shop and hoped for the best as I was 2 hours from home with work at 8 am the next day and unsure how safe it was to continue driving. They were busy servicing many customers. I asked for help, and I was politely told they were backed up but would take a look in ~45 minutes. ~30 minutes later they took that look and quickly found that the tensioner had gone bad on my A/C unit which caused my belt to slip and bind. Within 2 hours I was taken care of for less than $200. Furthermore, they identified an oil leak, took pics, and sent them to me. The owner chatted with me and my son, gave us cold water and a cookie while we waited. How long has it been in your life since you had such great service as a non-existing client/customer? It's been quite some time for me. I can't thank these guys enough as they not only saved me a ton of time, worries and money, I now know when I travel from Atlanta suburbia for a Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino run, I have a trusty mechanic close by when/if I need it. I may just strategize a service visit or repair when I visit the casino just because I know I'll get great service and a fair shake. There are still some good folks out there, and I can vouch that these guys are of that group. Sincerely, Dr. Michael J. Grasso

I recently took my Jeep grand Cherokee to get the trunk button fixed. I've been told it's a little…read morebit of a complicated system because it has to do with the sensors to close the trunk and possibly the trunk motor. From the moment I called until I picked up my car, I had a great experience with Gerard's. I initially spoke with Frank and then Brian took care of me throughout the process. You can tell that they value their work even down to the waiting area inside the shop. There were freshly baked cookies and everything was very neat and clean. I feel like you don't often see that in automotive shops. They accommodated me quickly and were able to solve the problem with my trunk and I am so happy that's it's fixed. I was initially quoted an exorbitant amount down in Florida to fix it and so I am very happy that I was able to find a shop with honest and reliable mechanics!! I will recommend them and will definitley be back in the future. Thank you for helping me, Brian & Frank!!
