Buyer beware. Having a 7.3 ford is a challenge to find good mechanics that won't rip you off. With a leaking oil cooler and went by and spoke with the owner to price the repair. New seals only, since part was new. They priced it at $500. Sounded right to me so booked for the next week. Dropped it off first thing on a Tuesday and went to work. After about 20 min the owners calls to tell me that they listed a 1996 f250 and not the 2002 f250 that I brought in. He told me this would mean a different price. Having both of these trucks over the last 20 years I knew they are identical when it comes to that repair. So I inquired why it was a price difference. His reply was it would need an oil change and anti freeze. I agreed, but both would have needed that anyway. He let me know the new price would be $980 rather then the 500 he quoted. I asked how many hours and his reply was 3.5 which sounded right but the math doesn't work. Basically take it or leave it. So I went with the repair u see duress. Had way thru the repair I was told that the brand new solid aluminum part cracked while they removed it and offered to sell me one and used ones are known to crack. Basically they either dropped it or just couldn't deal with getting it apart. I provided the part since I had an extra or $350. The whole experience was bothersome so I called ford for an estimate on the same repair. They quoted $470 and an oil change. Practically double what the dealer would charge. I did ask if they really wanted to charge me that much since it was highway robbery. I would not recommend or refer them to my worst enemy. Even worse I am local and they know it. Not sure why they would do that to me. read more

Took truck in for oil leak. It was the turbo leaking so they put the wrong turbo on and blew up the engine. Then said there shop insurance would pay for a new engine. They took 5 months to fix it and charged 8,000 for something the shop insurance was supposed to cover. The 5 months was the most frustrating part as they kept lying about it getting fixed. Extremely dissatisfied and required more repairs because of there shoddy repair and service. read more

While on vacation in Blue Ridge, GA from Michigan, we received a check engine light and several other alarms, eventually losing power steering among other issues... We were recommended to Highley's; Chris saw us immediately and was thorough, professional, and trustworthy. He diagnosed the problem, located the part that needed to be shipped in and repaired the problem within 48 hours, allowing us to return on the road home in time. Given the circumstances, I couldn't have asked for a better experience with an auto shop. Would not recommend this shop if it was the last place to go and hell itself was freezing over. If your looking to get ripped of, this is the place. I can't say Iv ever felt more disrespected and mistreated by a man than Highley. He will overcharge you and make you feel stupid while he's doing it. I can't say I'd want someone whose so carless with other peoples transportation to be in charge with my safety after leaving his shop. The level of no fucks given for other people from this man is astronomical. I would steer far and clear from this shop and save yourself the money and the trouble. read more

Hard to find good mechanics when you have a foreign car but Chris' team seems to know everything that needs to be done to keep us running. Pricing is more than fair and service is outstanding. On a road trip from FL, my Prius had a big problem. I could not go faster than 55 mph. The traction control would kick in and prevent me from accelerating. Not so good on a 70 mph highway. Based on reviews I went to Highley. They took me in immediately. The mechanic that worked on my car spent several hours trying to diagnose the problem. Turns out, it's a known issue with Prius cars, and must be handled at a dealership. (Grrr...!) When I asked how much I owed for the diagnostic, the mechanic said, "Nothing. We didn't fix your car." I wasn't stuck, though. They told me that I would not damage the car by driving it until I could get to a dealership. If I lived in Blue Ridge, this is the place I would go to! read more
