Outstanding service. My mom need help moving from Dunwoody to Buckhead so being the awesome daughter I am I hired someone else to do it for me! The day of the move Jim gave me a call about 8:45am the morning of the move to let me know the crew were on the way. They arrived promptly at 8:58am, and after a quick walkthrough, were able to start moving things by 9:05am. the guys were both extremely friendly, and got all of my moms stuff out of her apt., down a flight of stairs, and loaded into the truck in under an hour. Once we got to her new place, they found a spot to park the truck, which was unfortunately across the street, and up one building. They devised a quick plan, and we were able to start taking stuff inside almost immediately. In about an hour, the guys had all of my moms stuff into her new place. They asked where I would like things, and then put them in the proper rooms accordingly. All of my belongings were well cared for the entire time, and after a few minutes of watching them work, wasn't worried about the potential of damages at all. All in all, the experience was a great one, and I would go back to them if I decide to move. I hope I never have to move! read more

I paid $1,871.50 for what was advertised as a premium, full-service move. Instead, I experienced one of the most careless and stressful service interactions I have ever had. Despite clearly instructing the crew not to pack certain items, they ignored my directions and wasted approximately one full hour of billable time packing items I explicitly told them not to pack. One of the movers later admitted that his supervisor was wearing headphones and ignoring my instructions during the move. Entire areas of my apartment were not checked, including my laundry room and shower, while other areas were packed inconsistently. An entire rug was left leaning against the wall, and a full computer monitor was left behind even though I specifically instructed them to pack all electronics. I also informed the team that I own rare and vintage items that required additional care. Despite this, hundreds of dollars' worth of my books were damaged, and the certificate of authenticity from a vintage book was removed from inside the front cover and left on the floor of my bedroom. This document is essential to the value of the book and should never have been separated. Shoes were thrown together without protection, resulting in scuffed items. Jewelry was packed even though a customer service agent later confirmed this is against company policy. I found individual earrings, socks, and other small items scattered across the floor after they left. Kitchen packing was inconsistent, with some items packed and others left behind, and pillows were left behind while the bed was packed. For context, I paid for a 10x15 storage unit. When the crew finished, it was only half full. I then spent the next three days moving boxes entirely on my own and with the help of friends, at which point the unit became completely full. This clearly shows how much of the move was left for me to complete. It has now been over 10 days since the move. I sent detailed documentation and photos and have received only two generic emails, with no phone call and no actual update or resolution. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company. This experience cost me significant time, stress, and additional labor. Also, I'm quite certain Sheryl is an EMPLOYEE-- hence why she left a positive review. read more

I understand that minor issues can happen during a move, but I believe many of these could have been avoided with more care and better planning. Initially, my movers were scheduled to arrive in the morning, but that didn't happen. They called to inform me that they were short-staffed because one of their employees didn't show up. While I understood the situation, it disrupted my day. However, I didn't make a big deal out of it, as I had other priorities to manage. We rescheduled for another day, but then they called again, saying they found another team that could move me. By that time, I was already at my new house meeting with contractors, so we settled on an afternoon appointment. The movers arrived a bit late and had difficulty parking the truck. Because of the delay, they seemed rushed, which resulted in them not handling my furniture or my new home (a brand-new construction) with enough care. They scratched several walls and pieces of furniture, which caused me significant anxiety throughout the process. Despite my frustrations, I stayed calm and even gave them a generous tip. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I would not hire this company again. read more

Zero stars. Unfortunately, Yelp forced me to choose at least 1 star. I do not recommend using Peachtree Movers. I left my home to go to work while my husband managed the move with Peachtree. I am told movers did not show up on time, yet we paid for a certain amount of movers to be present for the full move. I came home to guys sleeping in the truck outside my house. My Sleep Number bed destroyed, bed frame damaged, dirt on my suede bed, ceramic bowls broken, dressers scratched, not to mention my entire second level smelled like these men were working for 10 days straight without a shower. It seemed as if they ran out of plastic wrap or cloth covers for our furniture. They placed boxes wherever they wanted in the house instead of the rooms they were labeled for. In addition, one of the movers was loud and complained multiple times about needing to go home to see his kids. I'm not sure how or why he felt that was appropriate to continuously discuss, loudly, while he was at work...or whatever they called themselves doing. Another mover, maybe the same one, not sure, was loud and frustrated that he broke the bed and kept stating he needed "Brian" here to fix it. Annoyed is an understatement. I will NEVER work with this company again. I suggest looking for a different moving company if you are moving any time soon. read more

Great customer service and smooth moving process. Throughout the entire experience they were so helpful and kind

We did get moved. Communication and resolution of damaged furniture and interior of house has been very poor. We moved almost 2 months ago and we are still trying to get email responses and information related to how things will be repaired or replaced. Things were damaged due to how they were packed in the truck and thrown in a box as well as the truck leaking in the rain and damaging several light colored chairs. I had always heard great things about the company, so I am very disappointed that we did not have the same experience. Would not recommend read more

Zero Starts if I could, 3rd time using a moving company. This one was the worst! They didn't listen to where I needed things placed. He tried to say there was a difference between unloading and unpacking, I never asked them to unpack anything, just furniture in designated rooms. I wanted certain things in the basement. They literally just unloaded moving truck and put stuff wherever they felt like it. 1 item in basement the rest was left in my living room. I hired them from 12pm-2pm, they started at 11:45am because 1 of the 2 movers had somewhere to be by 2pm, again not my problem, then why accept moving job from 12p-2p schedule??? Sad to say I'm giving them this bad review because of extremely poor customer service I received. They didn't listen to instructions and left me with a mess! The 1 mover even played the "race card" on me, he said because we're both African-American that am trying to sabotage his business, but doesn't get this from his caucasian customers. I was shocked, Race had absolutely nothing to do with it, I was even more offended that he went there!!! The other mover was mute the whole time, I don't think he was really employed with the company! Don't use this company, they make excuses for poor work and blame the customers I will never use them again!!! read more

Hire this company if you want to add MORE STRESS to your move! They came highly recommended and were not inexpensive, either, but I guess we should have looked at the reviews on YELP! We hired them to pack our kitchen, move us out, store furniture and then move us into new home 2 days later. EVERY.SINGLE.STAGE of our move had issues!!! They couldn't even pack our kitchen in entirety, missed several cabinets, showed up late every single occurrence, didn't have enough trucks to fit our belongings, so had to come back again next morning and that was stressful b/c we had out new home walk & closing to attend, and then with move-in they damaged furniture & walls! Still a month after the move, we are still waiting on resolution of repairs from a slow to respond office and no retribution for all the problems and stress they caused! read more

If I could give a zero I would. They sent five guys to do the move and they were smoking weed the entire time of our 6 hour move. When they first showed up, you could get stoned from just breathing the air around them and they continued to vape and smoke all day out in my driveway. All they did was ask me and my husband for tips all day. They stacked 3-4 boxes on a handcart and proceeded to bounced them step by step down my front porch - bang, bang, bang all the way down the steps. Needless to say, I had 3 boxes of glassware that was totally shattered. I had boxed and personally moved my most precious things and thank God I did. It took us days to find things that they just left in our garage (even though they were clearly marked for other areas). I have done 4 moves in the past two years for myself and my adult children in Florida, South Carolina and Birmingham. Those moves were all excellent, but these individuals that represented Peachtree Movers were literally the worst I've ever seen. read more

Very disappointed in this company. They recently moved us and much of the move was a debacle. They schedule to start our move after hours on a Tuesday evening and said they would call us when they arrived to come meet them. We specified to have them call the person in our company coordinating the move on her cell phone. They repeatedly called her office line when they were standing outside the locked building that they could see was not occupied. So, after not hearing from them we reached out and they said they could not move us until Friday night 3 days later at an additional cost of $2,800! Effectively closing our business for the better part of a week and increasing their cost by more than 50%. Our business was effectively held hostage. So, Friday night the crew showed and completed the move. Never did management reach and apologize or see if we were happy. Don't take your chances with Peachtree Movers and use a professional company. read more

From the initial phone call until the move was completed, our experience was great! The crew worked together as a team, were very diligent and careful with furniture and respect to our fresh paint and refinished floors when moving in. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could! read more

BE WARE!!!! Peachtree Movers will lie to you. They are dishonest about their pricing. They will make it sound like the obscene travel charge is included in the total but it's not. $165 travel charge is excessive. My destination was 18 minutes away. So why did it take 45 minutes for the movies to arrive? I stopped to get gas and went back home to grab something and still made it there before the drivers. That's crazy! To top it off they ask you to review them in writing while singing the final paperwork. MAKING A CUSTOMER FILL OUT AND SIGN A REVIEW IN FRONT OF THE SERVICE PROVIDER IS A BULLY TACTIC. Peachtree Movers does this so if you have a complaint or take them to court they can say you reviewed in a positive manor and were happy with the service. SEE WE HAVE IT IN WRITING! A review under duress. Appalling business ethics. The movers also left my PlayStaion in the TV stand. They never asked me to remove it. I hope it still works after being banged around. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS DESPERATE! read more

Did they arrive on time? Yes. Did they take good care of my belongings? Yes. But they did more than that. They respected my needs. I needed a 3 member team who was all vaccinated. They provided this team for me. When they arrived, all 3 men put on masks without me requesting it and they kept those masks on the entire day. You might not think this is necessary as I am also vaccinated, but I have my reasons to continue to be extra cautious. They understood that I was the customer and honored my wishes without complaint. read more

Salesman was just that a salesman. Talked a big game and assured me everything would be fine, no problems, they do this all the time! Day of the move was an absolute disaster!! No leadership from Peachtree Movers on location day of move. I had to break up a fight between the movers and the furniture assemblers, food and drinks were stolen, furniture damaged and the salesman was of course no where to be found! They sent us a damage claim form only to then tell us to not contact the salesman anymore to wait for the owner of the company to call us! Of course he never did!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!! They did this to lawyers at a law firm imagine what they will do to you!!! read more

I was very displeased with the service I got. They broke furniture (a dresser and my HD TV). They apologized and refunded me only $48. Buying a new television of the same brand costs $500! DO NOT use this company! I will NEVER use them again! read more

Horrible experience. Peachtree Movers is not the same company we used in the past. We recently hired this company for our move after interviewing a few others and having a positive previous experience. Everything seemed great until the move started. For the past month now we have been ignored and consistently lied to by Felix and dismissed by Jim Jr. Promises made about replacing quite a few destroyed items, forgotten. Policies they provide, ignored. We have now gotten responses about the company changed their mind about previous decisions. Please read my full review attached in the photos section. Save yourself the money, heartache of damaged goods and increased blood pressure and let anyone else move your home or office but this company. read more

I went with Peachtree Movers because a few co-workers had used them. I didn't really think I needed the 3hr min but went with it, thinking better safe than sorry. They were expected to arrive at 9 on a Sunday morning, instead they arrived closer to 9:50. Giving them credit I was called at 9:10 and advised that they would be late. They arrive, two guys one old and the other not, and they started with a bang and then they slowed to a fizzle. Seriously I'm standing there going how do you load half the apartment in 20mins and spend the next 90 mins loading the rest? We finally finish around two hours in and drive two miles to the next place. There one guy brought everything in while the other older guy organized blankets.........yes blankets. He came in the house only when they brought in the couch and mattress. Otherwise he didn't appear. My partner went downstairs and told him that we weren't going over the three hours and to stop folding blankets. We ended up going over 10mins. What does this tell you? It tells you that this one guy unloaded the entire apartment in less than an hour. Which means they could have loaded in an hour. I doubt I will use them or recommend them in the future just because I felt like I was being used. Again I knew I had contracted for three hours but I felt as if they really wasted 40 to 50 mins of my dollars. read more

Do not use these guys. Damaged multiple pieces of furniture and scratched walls and railing in my new house. Completely ripped a desk in half and broke mirrors. Half the crew was never seen and the lead guy at one point said I would have been done hours ago if I had a better crew and still charged me $400 an hour because half the 4 promised people were not working. DO NOT USE THEM read more

We moved on September 13 and have been trying to get the damage to the walls and doors in our new townhouse as well as several broken items repaired since. Professional, fast, no problems or damage. The movers completed the job within the estimated timeframe.

Broken furniture and accessories! Used them for moving our office. We didn't have that much to move but they broke our nice lamp and antique hutch. They didn't even tell us either. The movers tried to cover it up and hide it . We found it and had to send in pictures to get a credit. Would not recommend. read more

Initially I would have rated this service lower but the manager Jim made things right. I set up the move with the secretary and explained I had a 1000 Sq foot apartment and that they would also be packing everything. They showed up with two guys and the move stretched into 2 days. Jim ended up waiving the overnight storage fee as well as 3 hours of labor so I ended up ok. However, I did end up with a few broken items - nothing valuable but the movers were rather careless - no apologies or even acknowledgement even though I watched them do it. read more

This company made move a nightmare! First, they called and moved my schedule time just 3 days before the move - leaving me no options other than to accept the new schedule, even though it required me changing schedule of several other companies and people associated with my move. Then when the guys show up late to my schedule time, they are covered in sweat and look exhausted. They took longer than they should have to move my stuff - as they would frequently disappear. I found them smoking while they moved my stuff, talking on the phone while I moved my stuff, or I couldn't find them at all. As they tried to compensate their slowness, they practically threw my stuff into my new house. Wait - except for my box spring which they pushed throughout my entire house - leaving a deep scratch on my hardwoods. They also dropped my headboard, denting it and did something to take a chunk out of my desk. When I filed the claim for damages, they fixed the hardwoods, but told me that I would have to pay extra for the other damages to be fixed. If you want dependable, quality service - this is not the company. read more

Moved from apartment to our 1st home. Therefore haven't had a need for a moving company in the past. Our overall experience was excellent. Had 3 movers and I believe the move was knocked out in 4 hours (no damaged possessions) so we couldn't ask for anything else. Would recommend read more

I originally had written a somewhat critical review of Peachtree Movers because they were slow and I was being charged by the hour, thus making my 1 bedroom apartment move quite expensive compared to the quote I received. However, after a few days they graciously credited me back one hour at $120 making the price reasonable and what I would have expected. So I feel that Peachtree Movers deserves credit for: 1. Being clear in the pre-move paperwork and contract/insurance details. 2. Sending professional, well dressed, quality movers. 3. Wrapping my expensive things correctly and securely, thereby not putting so much as a scratch on any of my stuff. None of my things were damaged and everything is accounted for, so that is really the most important part of moving. I still contend that out of the 2 movers sent, unfortunately 1 of them seemed to consider himself more of a supervisor and made the other guy do most of the work. The guy handled it, but I didn't think it was fair for a guy in his mid 50's to be climbing 3 flights of stairs while the other one was organizing the truck. Anyway, they got the job done and after the credit to my bill I am satisfied. read more

One hour late. Took a lot longer than expected. Broke one item and didn't bring in another - still waiting to see if I get it. Realized another item was broken. Gave me $25 for a broken container store filing cabinet and a marble table. Workers smoked while "on job". read more

I had a seamless move with Peachtree, they were quick, efficient and very helpful from start to finish!

WARNING! Never use Peachtree Movers. They are the worst moving company EVER! Just to tell you a little....they drank 3 cases of my bottled water because they didn't bring any for themselves, walked thru my new landscaped beds instead of using the walkway two feet away, slid boxes down the basement stairs instead of carrying them, dropped my pedestal to my dining room table and scattered the base, overloaded their hand truckers and bounced every load down the stairs when moving out of the original house breaking many things, stacked oil paintings that were too large to pack in box on the truck unwrapped and unprotected, took smoke breaks, left items disassembled that they disassembled to move in the 1st place, left furniture wrapped in moving stuff in the basement... It was a nightmare! Tell everyone never to use them! read more

We used Peachtree Movers for a 2 truck 10mile move in Aug of 2012. It was a horriable move, and I would encourge you to shop around. The mover showed up and asked, "Where is our water at?" unknown to us, we are expected to supply them with drinking water for the day. My wife offered to buy them pizza for lunch, but they complained and she went to 2 different locations to fill their order. (She is nicer than I am!) They did not inventory our items and they closed up the trucks before we could make sure everything made it off the trucks. We are still missing miss the box labled "Wii". Lastly, while moving the stuf into the new house, the movers made enough negitive comments my family felt uncomfortable. The main office just made excuses when we complained....move on to another moving company. read more

I have used many moving companies over the years and found the management here to be the worst by far. The movers were good and Russ and Brandon were top notch. They kept everything moving and were great at making sure things went where they belonged and had felt pads on the bottom of everything. Where things went wrong was with the packers on the first day and the missing managers. When the packers came it sounded like a call center because of all the phone calls they were taking. They did a half job and left many things unpacked and unwrapped for the movers the following day. Even the movers from the same company were annoyed with how little was done and was left to them. This slowed the entire process and added a half day to the total job. This was fair enough given the fact that I was given a quote over the phone so we understood the likelihood of it being inaccurate. The first invoice came in at at extra $1000. It was paid with no issue. The next half day we received another bill for $1500. My husband told the guys he wasn't happy and wanted to speak to a manger. They said we would hear from him that day. We didn't. 5 days later i received an invoice in the mail followed by a credit card notification that they had charged the remainder to the card we used for the deposit. So we called the office and spoke to the sales person I had been dealing with. He said this was the first he heard of it and he would look in to it and someone would call us. They never did. I'm not against paying my bills, but this seemed cowardly and crooked to just take our money without addressing our issues at all. Overall I would not recommend them to anyone and actually suggest their crews move on to work for a company with some integrity. read more
