We both ordered the chicken with fried rice and of course extra yum yum sauce. The chicken was all white meat that was fresh and cooked just right. The rice was pretty tasty as well. By the time we ordered they were out of the steamed rice, but I wasn't disappointed with the fried option. They had steak and yum yum sauce as options. We both loved the yum yum sauce. For being a totally vegan option, it was hard to differentiate between this and non-vegan poutine. The gravy was flavorful, fries were crispy, and the, I think tofu, curds were perfectly squishy. The truck is a non-profit that proudly displays that the prices are just suggestions. If someone is unable to pay the full price, you are able to pay what you can. I love the fact that that it engages the community and ensures that no-one goes hungry. I hope to try the curry fries next time I see the truck around.

This was actually the second time that this truck had visited and I was excited because I knew their empanadas were good. Since it's a food truck, there's not too much to say about it other than it's pretty nondescript as a food truck and that there were two people working inside on this day. For our dinner on this day I ordered the chicken Diablo fries while my wife ordered the steak fries. Then we also ordered one each of their three empanadas: chicken, shrimp and beef. On my previous visit I had also tried the chonpon and like it, especially with the chimichurri. On this day there wasn't a big crowd and so our food came out in a more than reasonable time period. The empanadas were as good as I remembered here as the dough is crazy light and airy but with a nice texture to it. Out of the three empanadas, the shrimp was my favorite but I have to admit that all 3 were good. After those I moved onto my chicken Diablo fries and can confirm that they were spicy. What initially looked like tomatoes was actually a well spiced pepper that not only had a bit of heat but a great flavor as well. Then the chicken was cooked nicely and who doesn't love fries and cheese? My only complaint was that the fries weren't as crispy as I would have liked. Meanwhile my daughter ate all of the steak off of the fries she was sharing with my wife and enough of the fries and cheese that we bought another. So clearly it was a winner for both her and my wife. That extra fries actually had much crispier fries on it and I wonder if it just took a while for their fryer to heat up. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both times that we have been here my wife and I have enjoyed the food and especially thought that the empanadas were a home run.

GET THEM instead of rice, or with rice if you have to have rice, just get these tasty, stretchy, noodles!) Kye-Won is who did the actual service for the food, and she is terrific. I'm VERY familiar with Korean food, and she guided us through the smaller, but well curated menu. There is no jujube chicken, no squid on a stick or oyster pancake. What they DO have is a rotating menu of kimchi ban-chan sides, all EXCELLENT! If you are disappointed by the banchan and kimchi you've had elsewhere, because it wasn't "hearty" enough, this place will fix that. I loved the place! Without reservation and unequivocally. We started out with the Mandu (Pork Dumplings) / 만두 were so crunchy and the meat and sauce were really good too. The scallion pancake was so crispy and flavorful. We all loved it. My husband also loved his Korean Curry Rice / 카레라이스. He's a big curry fan. My mom and I love Korean beef. We both had the bulgogi with noodles. We found out the beef bulgogi is cooked in fire so it was a bit more burnt than we could eat. We let our nice waitress know who talked to the owner. The owner personally came out to find out more, explain and make it right. It meant a lot to us. She remade the food with less char and it was delicious. It also came out quickly. Then she also took them off the bill. I tried to at least pay for one. It was only fair. She appreciated the gesture but would not hear of it. What a wonderful person! We would love to come back and try the Korean fried wings. Others had them and they looked delicious. I also love Japchae and would like for try that with chicken. So many good things on the menu.

Fast forward a year or so and much to my joy they announced via social media that they had stopped cooking out of their home and started a food truck! One day I saw that they would be on Larimer Avenue in the Larimer section of the city so I made my way there expeditiously as T.I. would say. LOL! I already knew that I was going to go with their Curry shrimp with cabbage and rice & peas! I also got a Tropical Rhythms Island Mango drink to wash it all down. A few minutes later I had my food and made my way home. You guessed it, expeditiously! LOL! As soon as I started to dig in I was taken back as I hadn't had Jamaican food this good since Mama Rose on nearby Mayflower Street in the late 90's! The shrimp was perfectly cooked and full of flavor! The cabbage was tender and the rice and peas were delicious as well! My food was so good that I told my wife about it and ended up going back the same day to get us their Jerk chicken for dinner. Unfortunately it was near the end of the night and they had ran out of cabbage, but gave us extra chicken which more than made up for not having anymore cabbage. The ribs were tough and cold; the cornbread was awful; the street corn was overcooked (boiled not grilled) and thick with terrible sauce; even the $8 iced tea had a funky taste. Can't help feeling like a sucker after giving money to these grifters.
