6/25 I booked an appointment on Booksy for 11:45 am for a manicure and pedicure for my birthday…read moreweekend.. When I arrived I was greeted by a young lady, nice inside, a customer was already in the pedicure chair, they have two chairs, there was only one technician which is fine. I advised I had an appointment for 11:45. Around 12:15 I was advise to move to another chair.. My feet were soaking as the technician was waiting for the other client toes to dry. Then she asked the client if it was ok to start on me, the lady said yes. Before she started I showed her the appointment and the price as this was my first time using booksy, The young lady stated that was not the price she also stated the owner was at a mtg/training. I asked if she could find out before she got started she texted the mgr to confirm the price. As she was waiting for a response a couple of minutes went by I advised her I wont be moving forward with the appointment as it was 12:45pm. As I was leaving and in my car pulling out of the parking lot a polite young lady waved me down explained that's her daughter business, she would be back after 3pm due to mtg/training and apologized. Recommendation: going forward if using different platforms for customers to book appointments these platforms should to updated to reflect that business day working hours will I be back on defense , not for sure.

BUYER BEWARE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT! I had the worse nail…read moreexperience I had ever had at a nail salon in terms of quality of work. I should have heeded all the red flags: No advertisement, No Yelp page, No reviews....I had to create a Yelp page just to write this review! However the worst part was that she seemed very nervous and unsure of herself throughout the whole process. She was going out of order, taking too long of a time to file my nails. I was certain something was wrong when she started laying the acrylic powder on my nails. They were so thick, bumpy, with an uneven brush stroke. She must've seen the look on my face and the deafening silence of my voice because she actually admitted to me that SHE WAS NERVOUS! I asked her why is she nervous if she's a professional? I'll tell you why, it's because I'm certain that she has never done nails before. The place looked like a run- down, hole in the wall place that has never seen a customer a day in its life. I question the legitimacy of her license. You may be asking why I considered getting my nails done, let alone stay once I realized something was off? Well, she's a woman of color and so I know how difficult it can be to break into this industry when your the minority. I really wanted to give her a chance as she presented herself as a sweet person. I also stayed because I had a job interview later that day, and just wanted her to finish, even though it took her nearly 4 HOURS to complete! Never again. Will be doing my own nails moving forward. It was a horrific experience and my nails came out looking absolutely horrible and unprofessional.

I've been going to Rachel for years, and I truly can't imagine trusting anyone else with my nails!…read moreShe is incredibly talented, and her work is consistently flawless, creative, and long-lasting. Her attention to detail is unmatched, and you can tell how much care and pride she puts into every single set. Rachel also LOVES a challenge. I can send her just about any nail design I find online, and somehow she always manages to recreate it--and usually make it even better. She's incredibly creative, patient, and always willing to try something new. One of the biggest examples of how much she cares about her clients was my wedding nails. Rachel spent over six months testing out different wedding nail sets with me until we finally found the perfect set for my big day. She was just as invested in getting them right as I was, and that meant so much to me. Beyond her talent, Rachel is just an amazing person. Every appointment feels like catching up with a good friend. She's warm, welcoming, hilarious, and always makes you feel completely comfortable and pampered. I genuinely look forward to my appointments because I know I'm going to leave with beautiful nails and a smile on my face. If you're looking for someone who is talented, professional, meticulous, creative, and truly cares about her clients, Rachel is your girl. I cannot recommend her enough. Truly the best in the game!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this salon…read more First, the cleanliness of this place was very concerning. The towels they used were visibly stained, and even the blue towels had brown stains all over them. The tools did not appear to be new or properly sanitized. What bothered me the most was the pedicure chair. When I rolled up my pants and the back of my legs touched the chair, it felt grimy and damp. I was so uncomfortable that I had to ask for a towel to place underneath my legs to avoid touching the chair directly. As for the service, I requested a classic manicure with gel polish, which should have cost $35. However, the technician quoted me $45 instead. I didn't want to make an issue of it, so I agreed to the price. My pedicure turned out fine, but my manicure was done very poorly. I specifically requested rounded nails, yet only two nails were shaped round while the rest were left square. The overall quality of the manicure was disappointing, especially considering the price I paid. I've attached pictures so you can see the results for yourself. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect a clean environment, properly sanitized tools, and a reasonable level of care and attention to detail. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I'm extremely disappointed and will not be returning. I hope the salon takes these concerns seriously, particularly when it comes to cleanliness and sanitation.

I have been driving to SF to get my toes done because I was not sure about trusting anyone new. I don't want to make that drive every few weeks so I decided to take a chance. I got a manicure first with Jocelyn (also a super lovely person) and was able to ask questions about pedicure experience. Once I felt assured I booked and Jackie was open. The chair is a wide recliner, so so much better than the chop shop nail salons. It's a private studio so it's just you and your technician. You have the option to pop in head phones and zen (or nap), which I meant to do. But I started chatting with Jackie and she is so warm and it was a great conversation. I also run a little anxious and both Jackie and Jocelyn were really kind about it. I have done a lot of work on my feet during my time with my SF gal, but I am super confident in making transition locally at Mariez and feel like I am in amazing hands. Literally.
