She said yes and I made an appointment. When I get there I continued to say I wanted a "polygel fill" and she said yes she can do that. After filing down my nails she pulls out a powder and I explained that polygel is not a powder, it's a gel-like substance that hardens. You typically sculpt the polygel in a mold and then apply it to the finger. She tried to tell me the person who did my nails before used a powder and then painted with gel polish over it (not true, I saw how my previous nail tech did my nails and there was no powder used...). I showed her a YouTube video and she finally said she doesn't do that. After checking with my previous nail tech to make sure the powder wouldn't mess up my nails, I chose to allow her to do a fill with fiberglass, because I just needed something to get done. She then requested payment before she painted my nails which I thought was odd. She said it was because I was typing a lot and if I mess up the paint she doesn't want me to blame her (I was getting gel polish so my hands would've been in the light anyway). The paint job wasn't the best, and after she filed my nails the shape looks off. Overall just disappointed that they said they offered something when they actually didn't, and they proceed to try to convince me that I didn't understand how my nails were previously done.

I live in Elk Grove, next to a bunch of really nice, shall I say hoity-toity nail salons, but I have been coming to KD nails since around the time I found out I was pregnant with my daughter(she is 11 years old). Yes the neighborhood isn't the most desirable(ghetto, as one yelper put it) and the shop isn't fancy, but the ladies are nice, they work hard and they don't treat anyone differently. Everyone is treated the same who comes in there, and that is why they continue to get my business. They know people by name and if you are nice to them, they in return are nice to you. They are some tough little ladies, whom I've seen follow people out of their salon and demand their money if they tried to skip out on them. They can not control their surroundings, but they do run a nice respectable business. I would rather go to an establishment that may not look the best, but treats you with respect, than one which looks like they cater to queens and treat you like a pauper. 30 dollars for a face wax? Girlfriend you must grow a full beard. Ghetto? How would you know unless you lived somewhere in or around it...girl bye. By the way, they have updated all of their equipment, put down nice new flooring and have gotten a 65 inch television, sometimes businesses need time to grow. I have never gotten bad service from KD nails and I really like the place. I think people should go and see for themselves, they stay busy and packed, they don't talk you to death, their work lasts, my daughter loves her pedicures, I always love my fills and designs and I'll probably be going there until they close down. Mai is the best at pedicures and Kim is the best at nails. Please do give them a try...go early if you can, there is less traffic.

Went to he gas station grabbed a 6 pack of cold ones and brought it back in here to enjoy some cold ones while waiting for out hair cuts. How cool is that. . We got our haircuts while we are refreshed with some cold ones is amazing. Feel good and look good. . The barber is great with his skills. He listens to what you want too. Had him fix up the beard and cut it short and he did for an extra 5 bucks charge, aside from the hair cut price. . Overall I am satisfied with service, location and convenience.
