Okay, let's talk about this place. Great location because the night life around here is so busy. People are constantly walking by. The unfortunate part, is another well known ice cream place is just a few doors down. The other place has crazy variety and is super trendy. That's definitely a big hit on this place. I also think part of the whole ice cream experience is watching it get scooped and put together. I was very surprised that when I walked in, all the sandwiches were pre packaged. So that definitely took away from the experience. I think this takes away from some of the concoctions that could be made. Also, I know the owners are obviously going for a "hippie" feel given the name, but the ambiance in this place just kinda isn't there. I would give this place a total makeover, move the cooler counter and use more of the space for seating. Give us an experience! BUT, with that being said, you should stop here. Came out to the City to specifically go to this place, it is a small shop right down the street from the market. The place is small but quaint and give a locally vibe. Well maybe more of a folly, hippie vibe than downtown Charleston. When you walk in your will see the ice cream sandwiches of a variety of flavors in front to greet you. The concept of a ice cream sandwich with Pie filling is a interesting one. As i don't really tend to eat a lot of desserts I usually have a small set of flavors I look for, coffee and cinnamon sugar. The Cinnamon Roll flavor was out when I got there so I settled for red velvet. The flavors were rich and you can definitely get the ice cream as well as the influence. All and all i think this place will be good for ice cream lovers and they get bonus points for creativity. I ultimately picked the chocolate turtle filled with creamy chocolate ice cream, caramel, walnuts and peanut butter icing. Best ice cream sandwich I've had yet! The freezer must have been sub zero to keep the sandwiches so solid, but as soon as you devour the dessert in the 92F temperature, it was a perfect melting point in your mouth.
