A month later I get a bill for over $126+ and 2 of the same coin. They enrolled me in a monthly membership program, charged me 2 months off the bat, and charged me over 3x the value of the coin. scam stay away! customer service is slow, if nonexistent. the only way to prevent them from continuing to charge the cc was to cancel the cc. once they have your card on file, they will charge your card for a miscellaneous thing you did not authorize. just got charged $65 twice for stuff i did not authorize. there terms and service should tell you everything you need to know about them by agreeing to the terms, you and pcs stamps & coins agree to resolve all disputes between them solely through binding individual arbitration or in small claims court and waive all rights to participate in any class actions and waive the right to have any dispute decided by a jury read more

I am holding in my hands 2 "Guaranteed Genuine" silver proof Kennedy half dollars. As I am sorting them into my slab box I notice they don't quite fit right, so I kind of look closer and realize they are just barely not as wide as an NGC slab and so they're loss and slip between slots, which.. kind of poor design choice there if you ask me, but that's beside the point. I suppose anyone who actually collects coins isn't intentionally continuing to receive these coins and they send "collectors" boxes/display boxes to keep them in. At any rate, it gets me thinking, who slabbed this, so I look them up, start reading reviews, and start reading horror stories. Like PCS Stamps & Coins abusing the grieving family of one of their victims in an attempt to extract more money on an overpriced subscription service with automatic recurring charges that are - apparently! - not easily understood by the people they are selling to (see all the issues and BBB complaints, etc.) Their "Guarantee" is worth 1 star to me - ie. nothing. No, worse than nothing. If a random eBay seller said a coin was a silver proof I would at least assume they had some reason to think that was actually a silver proof. PCS Stamps & Coins have been accused of sending completely fake coins on numerous occasions. I honestly don't know what these are made of, but any "grade" they give a coin means nothing to me, and the fact that they come from them makes me nervous to even sell them. If I can get something to test them I'll gladly crack the "slabs" and do so, but the fact that I feel the need to do that after reading their reviews and feeling physically ill at some of the stuff they've done to get such a reputation is pretty lame. read more

Then they deducted cost of another coin the next month without my permission. Cancelled subscription then they deducted another cost for a coin for the next month. Bilked my 88+ year old Korean Veteran Father In Law out of thousands of dollars. Sold him hundreds of coins that are worthless. He had a stroke and we called and asked that they stop sending him coin sets to "review." They actually incrased their shipping and continued to charge his card even after he passed. Lowest of the predatory groups you could ever do business with. We have folders of receipts documenting what they did to our Dad. Do something for a customer and you are good. I had never heard of this company until I received a complicated color brochure mailer touting 8 MS69 Silver Eagles and the fact that I had been accepted to be offered an "absentee claim on U.S. Currency, but must do this within 14 days. The deal includes a wooden display box worth, they say, m $75, and the near perfect coins (MS70 is perfect), are mine, with the box, for only $137 plus $5 shipping, a total of just $141, including the box! "Absentee Claims"? What the heck is that?? The truth is that for the past 7 years or so, I have bought thousands of dollars of collector coins of all kinds, all from legitimate coin houses and sometimes from a local dealer, so this stuff about being approved for an absentee claim is -- a total crock of crap!!! And so is this company! All anyone has to do is go online to one of the companies selling coins, find what you like, order it and pay for it with a credit card or your Pay Pal account. Since MS69 Silver Eagles from 2011 to 2014 are generally in the $40 and up range, it makes no sense that they would sell them for an average price of just $17.12 -- and include a wooden display box, which comes with your third bi-monthly coin shipment! So why, you ask, don't they just send you all the coins at one time, since you paid for them? That's because it seems most likely that you are really buying just ONE coin for that amount, and if you complain, they will simply say you just misread their flyer, or some such B.S. And if you don't pay, they don't need to send you another coin, so in fact, you will have spent $137 plus $5 shipping for just the one Silver Dollar. Talk about bait and switch!! My brother-in-law recently died and we have had the responsibility to dispose of what he left. In that process we found piles of statements where he spent money on either fake or real coins where he was charged exorbitant prices for coins and stamps he received. Here are just the first four bills we looked at where we compared what he paid to what the US Coin Encyclopedia stated (confirmed by our local coin shop) the coins were actually worth. By the way, many of the 'valuable and rare coins' were only worth face value... i.e. a new state quarter is worth just 25 cents. That's it! Examples: $135 for a silver dollar worth $24.49. A Morgan Silver Dollar costed him $171... worth $42. He was charged $94.90 for a third coin which is worth $46. The fourth coin (from this pile of receipts) cost $183 and is worth $24.49. Fancy packaging, alluring advertising... for gullible, uninformed buyers. What this company did to my brother-in-law makes me sick! Please, please... research what coins you buy on US Coin Encyclopedia before you spend one more cent for exorbitantly overpriced 'sucker bait coins'. Just like many other reviews in past 3 or 4 years, these criminals sent me a bill for some coins I NEVER ordered. I never even made any contact with them yet they have been sending me 4+ spam mail/week. I even sent some back (as return to sender & in their envelopes). Suddenly I get this giant "envelope" I thought was just another 1 of their spam/scams... it was an order THEY made for me from 1 of the returned to sender junk! It was not 1 of 2, it was 2 of 2. I never even got the first scam order item(if there even is 1)!! I noticed they started sending me this junk after I attempted to order from a completely different site that "ran out of" the coins I would have ordered. that was last year. And about 1 week after I got the email from original order (of other place/site) confirming they cancelled the order like a more professional site/business would.... I started getting junkmail from this place... Hmm... coincidence? I NEVER bought anything from them, NEVER even gave them any money any way. How is this place still allowed to function? They're like a junkmail version of most those phone scammers! (sadly you can't block addresses/mail/businesses in physical mail for free like on phones). They're like some drug dealer/scalper shaking & walking up to you while sitting/walking out in public & no one doing anything about them. Oh did I mention in the fake order they don't give you any return info on any of the papers? Just like those phone scams. Oh just "email us or call our 800 number" or manage your falsely made "account" on their site. While reviewing my checking account, I realized that $26.00 a month was being taken out of my account by PCS! Contact PCS, who stated, "that I had never acknowledge their flyer, by signing and returning, outlining that they would deduct an amount each month!" By NOT signing the flyer, provided them, with an authorization to deduct $26.00 each month. After a verbal conversation with PCS (non-sense) via the telephone. I contacted the FRAUD Division of my back, who with in 10 days recovered three months of unauthorized deductions. I am a disabled Combat Veteran from Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). I received a promotional flyer in the mail about PCS Stamps & Coins services. Shame on me for not going online to verify the information! My first error! I ordered a simple collection that totaled approximately $175.00. After receiving my Second coin of this simple collection, I received another invoice for approximately $175, which confused me. My second error was not confirming the payment details upon receiving my first coin, which is now post PCS's 30-day return policy! When I spoke with customer service it was explained to me that this is a frequent problem of misunderstanding regarding point of sale (PoS) and product to payment expectations. Although the customer service was undeniably the best I have experienced from any vendor in a very long time, I cancelled my order, future orders, AND requested that a pre-paid postage be sent to me so that I could return EVERYTHING to not be charged further. BUYER BEWARE! As we have learned in the military, Trust but Verify. Shame on me for Trusting AND NOT Verifying! I feel humiliated to say the least that I did not "know better" to simply make a phone call prior to making a purchase through a mailer! Nonetheless, our military teaches us to be Accountable, therefore, I accept my errors and am out of $175, my time, a promise to my child for error of judgement. I never really Purchased Modern coins, so not knowledgable about them, but the PCS "The First Edition U.S. Coin Collection" which is advertised as first-year-of-ISSUE Coins with its really nice Wooden case looked like something to pass down to the Grandkids. After receiving 18 Coins at $755.82 including Shipping, the Coins stopped but my Box still had 2 slots? So I called and they informed me it was only 18 coins. I looked back at Ad and yes that was correct, so why does it come with a box that holds 20? Dissatisfied with it, I decided I didn't want to give my Grandkids what looked a incomplete collection, so I looked into selling it. After pricing it was only about $270 worth of Coins! Wow, talk about Mark Up they made almost 180% Profit off me. So thinking okay, I'm a idiot and got Scammed but guess I'll take the loss and sell for the $270 its Worth anyways, I went to a Local Coin Show this past weekend and was asking if anyone wanted to Buy my "FIRST ISSUE" Collection? One of the Collectors seemed interested and was looking through the Coins and said, "I thought you said these were First Issue?", l was like, "Yeah" and then I was informed that the 1922 Peace Dollar that PCS sold me in the Collection IS NOT a First Issue! That the First year of issue for the Peace Dollar was 1921! So now I can't even sell this crappy Coin Coin collection for $270 because its NOT ACTUALLY FIRST ISSUES! So I got scammed out of almost $800! I called to complain, knowing I could not get my money back because they only have a 30 day guarantee but it takes YEARS to complete the collections, so no longer Valid. But I just wanted them to fix it. Change the Collection or put in the right Coin. The guy tries to tells me 1922 is the first issue when I'm looking at the Peace Dollar website saying its 1921, then he says, "well, okay they made some in 1921" but that those would cost to much to put in the collection and since it was limited Mint, they were calling the 1922 the first year, BUT IF PCS themselves sells the 1921, how can they say IT IS NOT THE FIRST ISSUED PEACE DOLLAR! read more

Be careful how you read their mailings. I received their mailing on the Century of Lincoln Coins & Stamps and found it was a little ambiguous at first read and was way off on the total cost. It read, "Reserve now to receive your first shipment of four coins, plus a mint-condition stamp and Biography Card for just $4.95 ( plus 50 cents shipping and service) per coin. Thereafter, you will receive eight coins, two stamps and two Biography Cards at the same low price every other month until you own the complete 106 coin collection." At first, I took it to be $4.95 plus shipping for the 4 coins, then $4.95 plus shipping for each 8 coin shipment. What through me off was the plus 50 cent shipping and service between the $4.95 and the per coin. It should had read $4.95 per coin (plus 50 cent shipping and service) read more
