Stop! If youre going to continue looking for places on the Cape or even closer then just stop here. I had a computer issue that was frankly going to be difficult and pricey, i called a former repair shop and was told that i had to quarantine my computer because apparently it could have COVID. i looked through and contacted a number of places and finally landed here, it was a Yelp review that convinced me to bring it here. First, Phil and the crew are extremely professional, they didnt promise me i would have it in a few hours set expectations that could be impossible and being in the finance world i appreciated this, I was told specifically, and this is what led me here; they would fix it like i wanted but wouldnt return it until it was done. Now I use this computer for work and for gaming so i am pretty picky about where i take it; i using this system right now that they fixed and that they built and I cant even hear the system (this is a big deal). They put a system in so i can check if its getting hot or if its working too hard and more importantly they did what I asked and had hoped for. I think most people that have a real computer system they use for work and entertainment like i do care about cost but its not the thing that matters most, its the computer working like i can only hope it could. Im more than impressed, i click a screen and the screen changes, i play a game and Im not dealing with lag or video and connection issues; hell they even kept some of my old system for me so i had it and showed me how i personally was taken advantage of in my own eyes having paid for work that was not exactly what i wanted or paid for. They didnt do this maliciously they did it to show me what they wouldnt do and this resonated for me. I dont know if they are the cheapest or if they are the closest (i know they arent the closest to me), but if Im going to do anything in the future or refer my friends and family it will be here. To me i can click buttons I cant format a disk, I didnt discuss pricing and dont ever need to, I think these guys went above and beyond giving me what I wanted because I never expected to get something this well done. A 15 year old computer i had put $7600 into originally and maybe $2500 over the last few years cost me far less for an entire new machine that does what i want when i want it to. Trust me, im not getting paid for this and im not saying Im the GEiCO lizard and can save you 15% on computer repair, I can tell you if you want it done professionally, correctly and as expected from a company that wont overpromise and underdeliver then look no further these are your guys. Wow! My laptop's internal camera was not working and I tried everything to troubleshoot the problem myself. Finally, it was time to call in the professionals. I sent an inquiry to the folks at PC Solutions through their website and received a reply within the hour. The next day, I drove from Provincetown to Yarmouth Port to drop off my laptop for what I expected to be weeks of diagnostics, estimates, and costly repairs. Nope! I was greeted like I was an old friend and walked through the registrations process in minutes. I used their clean and public restroom, grabbed a few Hershey's Kisses and headed to my PT appointment. To my surprise, as I was departing my appointment to make the 1 hour drive home to Ptown, I got a call (not an email, text, or letter) from one of the owners. "It was easy and we were able to take care of it in 15 minutes," said the kind voice on the other end of the phone. What!? Not only that, but because she remembered I lived in Ptown, she offered to meet me somewhere, so I did not have to make the 1 hour drive again. Who does that!? We made arrangements for me to meet them the next time I was in town for a PT appointment, 2 days later. Sure enough, on my way to my PT appointment 2 days later, I met one of the other owners just off Route 6 to retrieve my repaired laptop. Talk about personal and good customer service! The invoice arrived by email and was simple to pay online. The cost? Much less than I expected and a major surprise. I recently had the unfortunate experience of getting a virus in my desktop computer that wiped out my entire operating system and left me completely out of order. PC Solutions and macsales of Cape Cod was highly recommended to me by a neighbor who said he has used them and "they are the best." I brought my computer over and it came back very expeditionary in excellent operating order. (Phil's wife even had Phil go down to open the shop on Sunday so I could pick up my computer so I wouldn't be without a computer the following week while they were away.) My laptop developed a problem with the fan(s) not working while I was in Canada. Since I purchased the laptop at Best Buy (in the US), I decided to take it to the nearest Best Buy (in Canada). They had the computer for nearly a month and were unable to repair it before I was leaving Canada. I was advised to take it to another Best Buy on the Cape, who couldn't assure me they could fix it in the month I was to be there. Leaving Best Buy we called and took the laptop to PC Solutions Cape Cod and had the repaired laptop back in 4 days.
