The team at Bayside performed a spring tune up on my lawnmower. They were efficient, and did exactly what was needed. See you next year!

Something was wonky with my fairly new snowblower. As the skies over New England could literally…read moredrop eight inches of snow without warning (well, credible warning - ooh sick burn), it was ideal to have it checked out before the next THUNDERSNOW. Enter Roy and his Power Equipment Service. A local tradesman, he responded immediately to my text and was in the garage within a few hours to check out Snow Pesci. (Yeah, I named the blower. What.) Turns out, I had a loose belt - an easy fix - and he advised me as to how I could do it myself next time the same symptoms struck. Plus, he greased up the hex shaft and a few other well-seasoned cogs and joints, and...; I'm realizing talking snow blower repair can sound real saucy. Let me pour a glass of wine before I continue... Ah, that's a jammy Zin. Anyway, Roy's the man. He's a local legend, and true to word, he charged a fair price for what will be a one time fix, a maintenance over, and the knowledge to do it myself in the future. Let's hope my lawn mower was taking notes, because honestly bruh, all you do is cut grass and take up space in the garage. It's not even your time to break down. Call Roy. He rules.

Ditch Home Depot, ditch Lowe's, and ditch the web…read more I walked in here on Saturday to a moderate crowd that the staff seemed to be handling quite well. I walked around looking at what I needed (string trimmer and a mower) until a member of staff was available to help me. He was informative, knew his stuff, and when I tried to buy a more expensive can of premix he told me it wasn't worth it and to go with the one right below it. Yes you will be paying more than the box stores but the reason is that you get a better quality machine for what you pay. The box stores may carry Honda and Husqvarna, even Echo too but they get them with inferior components (Lowe's Husqvarna trimmers come with Toro shafts). Do your research and you'll find that spending an extra what, $50? Will save you much more in repairs, down time, and eventual replacement of the machines.

Brought my Ariens snowblower differential gear into the shop for inspection for wear. The mechanic looked at it and didn't think this was the problem, he suggested to look at the sprocket bushings, a common failure item. Turned out it was the bushings ($6 part). Saved me the expense of the differential part ($160 part). Good to know that they are not looking to sell you expensive parts that are not the problem. Trust in repair service is rare these days.
