We have had great experience with the folks at Crane. Our kitchen is older (renovated about 20 years ago). We had to get a new stove last year, and a fridge this week. They have good inventory, and most of all their customer service is amazing. Finding an appliance that fits in an existing space is nerve wracking, and they were so helpful. We had a 5 yr. extended warranty through Crane for a refrigerator we bought in 2023. The service dept (excellent by the way) had been out here 3 times since then. Finally, this time, he said he had done all he could for the unit and for us. All I wanted was to have it removed as soon as possible so that I could go and just buy another fridge somewhere fast (approaching a big holiday gathering). Not to be. I was frustrated and showed up at the Orleans store, spoke with the wonderful manager there, who told the service dept. and the front office as well, about my visit. Response was immediate and we are forever grateful. Have bought from them prior to this (an Amana stove) and will again. And by the way, their customers ARE very important to them. read more

I traveled from Harwich Port to Crane' Orleans store because I needed an extension drain hose for a new washing machine and the Crane web site showed they offer the hose. Once in the store I spoke to someone sitting at his desk. After explaining what I needed, the clerk said they do not carry that product. I directed him to the Crane web site which clearly showed the product. After see the product on the computer, he got up from his desk and went to the back room and got the item. After attempting to connect the extension hose I discovered it would not fit into the washing machine hose. I returned the hose for a refund of $49. I was told the manager must approve the return but once approved they would credit my card. About 45 minutes later I got a call and was told I could not get a refund because he said "he told me it was non refundable when I bought it". HE NEVER TOLD ME IT WAS NO-REFUNDABLE! I am having my credit card dispute the charge and I am opening a case with the Massachusetts Attorney General office. Besides lazy service this store is unethical. Trying to direct business to local merchants has its downside. Don't bother doing business with Crane Appliance, instead deal with a reputable retailer with a national reputation. read more

I had purchased a washing machine from this company about four years ago and at the end of a rinse cycle it made some odd noises. I called on Thursday and again on Friday to request a service assessment. Nobody responded to my request. I called another company who made the assessment, gave an estimate which I accepted, ordered the parts and completed the repair within a week. I bought a dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer and a clothes washer from these people. I will be shopping elsewhere in the future. read more

Unbelievable! I called and left a vmail to find out if Crane could repair my expensive KitchenAid countertop mixer. I really didn't expect a call back but lo and behold I got a lengthy message from Ken encouraging me to try other options to get it repaired, including business names and contacts! I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Crane Appliance. From the ordering process to delivery one week later, the staff have been most helpful. I had ordered the refrigerator from another company and after waiting nine weeks, I chose to go to Crane from help. I needed a washer and dryer and try to shop local. Went online and started chatting with their service. Person was extremely helpful and connected me with Ed in the Falmouth location. Went down, saw Ed, told him what I was hoping to accomplish and within 45 minutes I purchased a washer and dryer within the budget I had set for myself. Delivery was set for Saturday, but if something became available sooner, they would inform me. Turns out Tuesday was available and my new washer and dryer have been delivered. The delivery service was superb. Everyone I dealt with was extremely professional and very helpful. Both the sales and delivery gentlemen are wonderful ambassadors for the Crane appliance store. read more

Great personal attention to a minor repair issue that crippled my washer during the Covid-19 lockdown. They recognized that not being able to do laundry in my home while we were socially distancing constituted an emergency. Being able to speak with a human who was concerned about my problem and was willing to help solve it was heart warming, and the repairman was courteous and went out of his way to make sure the washer was repaired. read more

Deliverers arrived within two-hour window given ahead of delivery date. Lead deliveryman courteous, efficient, thorough, and knowledgeable about the products. Bought a front loading washing machine and also purchased the extended warranty. The machine began to leak so called for service. Service man came right away but said since the machine was in such a tight spot the only way to service it was to take it to their shop. I agreed to do this. Afterward they found out I had the warranty and they refunded the service charge but never returned my calls (which were numerous) to come get the machine even after I started having another problem with it. Think once they knew I wouldn't be paying for the repair they decided not to return my calls or follow up with the service needed. No way to run a business. Now I need a new stove and will NOT be purchasing it from Crane. Too bad for them. read more
