I purchased over $5000 in kitchen appliances with an interest in LG products. The salesperson, Jack Gilooly, convinced us to Purchase GE appliances and offered $800 in a bundle rebate. I have tried for months to receive these rebates, many emails and calls with no response. Finally reached the COO Jay Upton and explained my situation with months of frustration. His ridiculous suggestion was to return the appliances which means hiring an electrician and plumber to disconnect them for pickup. I tried to reach the owner several times but no response. In addition, KAM sent the wrong refrigerator and requested me to pay a 30% return fee and another delivery charge which I refused to pay. Their sales manager Frank even stated there were no GE rebates at that time. After I provided documentation on the rebates given to me from Jack, Frank said to call GE. I contacted GE and their rebate company and since months passed, GE said to contact the dealer for their assistance. KAM provided no assistance, made excuse after excuse and I never received these rebates $800 rebates promised. I thought I would support local businesses instead of the Big Box stores. It was a Mistake. The story they post on customer satisfaction is a joke. I strongly suggest you shop elsewhere. Hopefully the owner will contact me after this reading this review. We purchased an Electrolux washer/dryer tower from Kam Appliance about a year ago solely because of their supposed reputation for customer service and warranty support. learn from our mistake and run the other direction. From early on, this unit has had serious, ongoing issues, most notably an extreme and abnormal lint problem. The lint buildup is so excessive that unless I go to unreasonable lengths to clean the dryer after virtually every load, it becomes unmanageable. This is not normal operation. It is not acceptable. Before Christmas, I sent Kam Appliance a very explicit, very detailed email describing the lint issue again, supported by numerous photos and videos, and also documented that the unit shakes the entire house during operation. I followed up and was told parts had been ordered and that someone would reach out when they arrived. After about a month and a half of waiting, someone was finally scheduled to come out. The confirmation text conveniently included an order summary showing three parts that had absolutely nothing to do with the lint problem. When I called Kam to ask how this could possibly be correct, I was told there was "nothing in the notes" about a lint issue and that the visit was only meant to address a "noise" issue. The technician still came out and was helpful as he could be, but did not have the parts to fix the problem. I then contacted Kam Appliance again asking for an explanation as to how such a blatant failure in communication and record-keeping could occur when my complaints were detailed, repeated, and documented with evidence. I have received no response whatsoever. Completely unacceptable and deeply disappointing. read more

I bought a new GE washer/dryer pair and had them delivered on 6/2/26. Just a few days later on its third use ever, the dryer stopped working completely. Reached out to KAM and they said they wouldn't be able to come out until 7/6/26, a little over three weeks. A ridiculous amount of time to be without a brand new dryer, but I tried to give them the benefit of doubt with the summer season upon us and their service request volume surely increasing. I was able to schedule GE's Bodewell service for 6/23/26 which was at least sooner. KAM called with a cancellation for 6/19/26 for a service technician to come out which I gratefully accepted and I cancelled GE's service for a few days later. Service technician stated the belt was frayed and had come off of the motor and pulley system and put the frayed belt back on the machine and stated to use it in the meantime while they wait for a new belt to arrive. I'm hesitant to use the dryer with the frayed belt because it makes a horrific intermittent slapping sound, presumably the frayed and loose part of the belt hitting the internals of the machine. Because I don't want to be blamed for additional damage, I stopped using the dryer and decided to wait for the new belt because it should only be a couple days, right? That was 2.5 weeks ago. If I can order the belt and get it in two days online, wouldn't they be able to? I called today (7/6/26, ironically the day of the original service appointment) to ask for an update. Service department said they didn't have any record of a belt being ordered but would get back to me. They, of course, didn't get back to me. I have now rescheduled GE's Bodewell service for 7/23/26. I'm Seriously considering just buying the belt myself and putting it on but am afraid that there is more to it than just the belt. How on earth could a belt be frayed and come off of a brand new dryer? I hate writing negative reviews. I can count on one hand the amount of negative reviews I have written in my life. I get zero enjoyment out of making people feel bad. I am extremely frustrated that the salesperson talked me out of the LG I wanted and told me to get this pair instead. I'm extremely frustrated with having spent $2,000 on brand new appliances and not being able to use them. And, I am extremely frustrated that I tried to do the "right thing" and go through a local appliance store instead of Home Depot or something comparable and this is the thanks I get. I did not buy a brand new washer and dryer to ask friends to use their dryer or go to a laundromat. I just want to be able to do my laundry! Avoid KAM and GE like the plague. read more

Had a service guy come to the house for the third attempt to help us with our ice maker . We bought this fridge ( Bosch ) over a year ago and it has never been fixed . It will not make ice . They gave us a new ice maker and again this one will not make ice . 3rd try was yesterday . I would NOT recommend purchasing any appliance from KAM. They are not supporting their customers in the right way with getting things replaced by the manufacturer when you continue to have the same issue over and over. Read the other reviews which are exactly on point with my frustrating experience. It's a true shame that you try to support a local business, but this is the experience you get. We purchased over $30k in appliances including a brand-new Sub-Zero refrigerator and we have had the same error code for 8 months with nothing but another recommendation on what needs to be fixed. We have had someone to the house 8 times in the past 8 months. You would think at this point management would be alerted that there is a major issue with such a high-end appliance that they would be considering a replacement. I cannot even get management to call me to even discuss this. I am sick of getting another technician to the house telling me this one last fix will finally fix the issue to just have another error code and food in the freezer that goes bad because it cannot maintain the proper temperature. So the POOR experience continues...apparently in response to my previous YELP review, they tried to make it better. First they gave me an earlier appointment of 09/17, which I could not make. Then yesterday, 09/11, a man calls and explains that they have an opening for 09/12, between 1-3 due to a cancellation. At 3:45 I call KAM Customer Service to ask where the tech is as no one had shown up nor called. Service person said she would call back after checking with the tech....called back and he is NOT going to show up! Seems no one told him about my appointment, that, once again their system was down (they have used that excuse with me before). I asked if anyone was going to call me to let me know, to which she replied...NO....I asked to speak to the man who called me yesterday and was told he is on vacation. I asked to speak to the customer service manager and was told she too is on vacation. Finally was told they would call me Monday morning. So continue to STAY AWAY from KAM Appliances. It's difficult to fully describe the terrible and entirely indifferent service from KAM. We ordered a full suite of new kitchen appliances, paid 50% deposit. When it came time to deliver some months later not all of the appliances were ready, and the refrigerator was discontinued. But that's not the issue. We had a Wolf built in oven that malfunctioned within the first two weeks. I told them exactly what the problem was, exactly what part was required to replace it. I asked them to not send the repair person until he had the part. Today he came. Had the wrong part. Not his fault, he was good. Their incompetence. Now they've got to order the right part and I have no idea when I'll get it repaired. 95% of the time I've had this oven it's been broken. There's no recourse, no compensation. You will have to physically go back to the store with questions or to ask WHEN they will actually come back and finish the installation! I started with a service representative named Diane, who was unqualified! I was charged for 2 ovens when I ordered 1 oven. I tried to call several times with no answer. I emailed several times and finally got the correction. I was told 1 to 2 weeks to finish installation. I am on week 3 with no response from emails. I bought a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator from KAM four years ago. Earlier this year, the external water filter started leaking profusely. A gasket had failed and I called KAM and told them exactly what the problem was and what needed to be replaced. The subsequent service call ($135) resulted in the technician telling me the same thing after about 90 seconds of examining the filter and he said the part would need to be replaced. Two weeks later, I received a voicemail telling me that the manufacturer had stopped manufacturing this model. Nothing further or suggestions on how to resolve. I called them back and asked what alternatives either they or the manufacturer suggest as this is a relatively new product. I was told they would follow up. After three weeks of not hearing anything, I called them back. "Nothing we can do..." No acknowledgment they never followed up and not helpful. Done with KAM. Zero stars if I could.... read more

Purchased refrigerator, stove & dishwasher in January. The sales & delivery experience went fine. BUT the 2 plumbers we'd used previously were not available so we asked our KAM salesperson if KAM had a plumber they could recommend. He gave us the name & phone # of someone who he said is not an employee of KAM but whom their customers have used. We called him & he came to the house to disconnect the old dishwasher, install the new one & connect the new stove. 2 days later, on a Sunday, we smelled gas & called him. He pulled-out the stove & said it had a faulty valve, which our former contractor friend told us doesn't exist. But at least then the gas smell was gone. After about 2 weeks of using the dishwasher we noticed that the wooden floor in front of it was buckling! We called the plumber again & when he pulled-out the new dishwasher he saw that 2 nails were sticking through the wall where the dishwasher was pushed in & they had punctured the drain hose. He said it was not his fault (really???) & ordered a new drain hose which he then came & installed. We thought we had a potential lawsuit brewing but I called the general manager of the KAM Hyannis store & explained the situation, saying they should not be recommending this plumber. Apparently he called the plumber & explained how serious this situation was because we heard next from the plumber's insurance company. They immediately sent an adjustor to inspect the damage & very soon afterwards we received payment covering the cost of movers to move all the kitchen, dining room & living room furniture into the sunroom & bedrooms, have floor sanding & refinishing done throughout the entire house & book accommodations for us & our pets to stay in for 5 nights when moving out of the house for this work to be done. We have only praise for the insurance company & adjuster but KAM should not be recommending an inferior plumber who couldn't correctly do the 2 things we hired him for. This has been a very stressful & time-consuming period getting estimates & arranging all the details & never should have occurred in the first place! read more

We purchased a brand new washer and dryer set from KAM Appliance, and the experience has been nothing short of awful. Within weeks of installation, the washer began leaking, causing water damage to the floors in our brand new home. ( not even the first service call for this brand new washer unfortunately). When we called for help, we were told the soonest service appointment was 19 days away -- unacceptable for a brand new appliance. On the day of that long-awaited appointment, KAM cancelled last minute and told us we'd need to wait another three-plus weeks. When we expressed concern, we were casually told to "just go to the laundromat" -- incredibly unhelpful and dismissive given the circumstances. To make matters worse, our dryer also arrived defective. The door doesn't close properly, and even more concerning, it continues running when the door is open -- a serious safety hazard with young children in the house. Despite multiple calls and promises of a supervisor follow-up, no one has ever called us back. We've received nothing but the runaround and zero accountability from KAM. For the price we paid and the trust we placed in them, the lack of urgency and care is beyond disappointing. We expected far better service from a local company -- but after this experience, we'll be taking our business elsewhere and warning others to do the same. read more
