Having had the thing for 6 years I figured a funeral was in order, but before that I decided to see if anyone could resuscitate the old beast. Enter Computer Wizard... an at home operation of a young guy named Dale who is passionate about helping people just get back to their electronic social lives, or I have heard he even can help people create their own computer works of genius. Having no idea what the hell was wrong with my computer. It was WAY past my mere level one comprehension of any and all IT issues... I give Dale a call and he said, "Sure! Bring it over!" He was really professional had us sign a couple forms and explained his diagnostics process and then we were on our way. He in no way made us feel inferior or technologically unintelligent .. (although we probably are). Dale tries to stock up on parts during really good sales, which saves US money in the end, so he ended up installing a HUGE new Hard-drive to replace my failing old one for a fair amount and after diagnostics and all that jazz... my bill was cheaper than most repair places would charge. Also, he runs deals here and there (Like on YELP!), so keep an eye out. It may save you some extra dough. My computer was ready to go after a couple of days.. although I wasn't able to pick it up until the weekend, but it's working like new and he was able to save the 6 years of files I had on there from wedding pictures, to artwork files... to my music library! A little background,…read moreI travel quite frequently so stay in lots of hotels, Extended Stay most frequently over past 2 years. Well I work out of the rooms so the FREE Hotel internet is a must have. Well I guess for security reasons, Apple has increased the frequency of changing it's product IP Addresses from every 6 months to what seems like every couple weeks now. This is a real pain in the #$% because you'll get an internet error saying you've reached the maximum amount of devices for your FREE service, you'll need to now pay to have "upgraded" internet service. This didn't make sense so asked the front desk what's the deal, they always have NO CLUE, they'll say that you've probably added new devices and recommend paying for the upgraded internet with unlimited devices. I wasn't buying it so found the 866 support# and called. Well thank god the support service is provided by Velocity. They said let's see what they can find out, I explained I added no new devices, have had the same devices connected with a combination of Android & Apple devices. The Tech did some research and after 10 minutes says I got it, he explained how frequently Apple will switch the IP addresses on their devices to help with security. Well the Hotel system still sees the old addresses and then thinks you've added all these new devices, which takes you over the limit for the FREE internet, which then prompts them to recommend paying for the better internet. The Tech found the room I was in, erased all the old addresses, had me sign in again and everything then was working fine! I've now had Velocity help with this problem 6 times over the past 8 months and they're ALWAYS available!! I mean evenings, weekends, Sundays etc, someone always picks up quickly, they speak fluent English, they're articulate and understandable, everyone is always knowledgeable regarding my issue and again, always there!! They've been a life saver for me from a business standpoint because I cannot video conference with the office or customers if I don't have internet access. Listen, If you're a business researching an IT company to contract with to support your staff and/or customers, I cannot recommend them more highly, you will not be disappointed!

I had lots of mesh routers (eeros) but somehow I couldn't get reliable service throughout our house (2 floors + basement). That's where G-flo came in to save the day. Our technician Brian arrived early and investigated the situation. We had coax throughout the house and he was able to get internet flowing from the basement to the 2nd floor. I thought the problem was solved but we had some issues with the first floor so he CAME BACK and solved the issue with the first floor too, no questions asked. This was more than a value. This made the difference between working from home making sense and being unworkable.

My SONOs speakers do not disconnect, my TV plays consistent 1080p/4K channels, and I haven't experienced any lag when gaming. Brian did a great job understanding my needs and completing the job in a timely fashion. He diagnosed the issues, purchased equipment, and completed installs all in the same day. I needed to replace my hard drive. I started receiving errors on 2 year old Dell Inspiron computer…read morewith Intel 1TB hard drive. On startup (suddenly) I started seeing a Dell Alarm screen reporting bad disk sector(s). I have MS Windows 10 - Office 2016. One very knowledgeable tech came and looked at it and his opinion was it was a "false positive" and to simply continue backing up which I did for a while... backing up around 400,000 data files plus two (current and archive) Ouitlook .pst files. I also purchased a replacement 1 TB hard drive ( Samsung 1 TB 870 "EVO SSD hard drive and SSD/HDD mounting frame at Microcenter.... just in case. Being nervous Nellie myself I finally researched to find another reliable computer expert tech to replace. Luckily I cam across Justin Brown at Fit-It Computer Repair - Columbus OH. Justin came and picked up the computer and returned it the next day. He basically mirrored the entire drive to assure that it would be exactly the same as the old system ... this basic copies .. sector-by-sector and installs on the new disk the great advantage being ... none of the software has to be reinstalled and none of the settings ... a mirror of the original. I could not be happier and to add to it Justin is very competent and a great person to work with. I would give "10 stars" if I could.

My laptop stopped charging intermittently and was giving me an error about my AC charger's wattage…read morenot being recognized. I don't usually go for tech support unless I've tried everything on my own, and everything I had read about it from other people said that it was a potential problem with the charge port or, worse case, the charge circuit. Knowing this would require some heavy duty internal work and since I was on a time crunch, I called Quality PC asking for help. I was told I had a battery problem. I told him the battery was fine, the diagnostics on the BIOS were fine, and I was getting an error about my AC charger's wattage not being recognized. He told me "charge the battery to 100% and if it quits early it's a battery problem". I told him I couldn't charge the battery because my AC charger wasn't being recognized and the battery just runs down to 0 even when it's plugged in. He said "I'm trying to help you here", insisted it was the battery, told me to buy a new one, and left it at that. $160 and a week later, I installed my new battery and guess what? Same error. And I got to go on a 2-week business trip on another continent not knowing if my work laptop was going to kick the bucket and just not charge on any given day. I don't know if they didn't want the business or what, but the level of dismissiveness I got was inconvenient and shitty, and a major waste of time and money.
