I will say without hesitation that Raymond, the owner of ART Computer Maintenance and Repair is the most honest, ethical and sincere technician I have ever met or worked with. That being said, if you work in this industry you know first hand that it is one of the slimiest, dishonest, unethical, cutthroat industries that exists, which opens the door to customers and clients with little or no knowledge of computers becoming easy prey to being lied to and swindled. Going forward, especially knowing this, one is immediately leery and defensive when dealing with a new technician for the first time, but meeting and dealiing with Raymond completely dispells that negative stereotype. From the moment I met Raymond he radiated, kindness, patience, honesty and fairness. At 72 my hands are not steady enough to do the up close and fine work of disassembling a laptop likle I used to be able to do. The hinges on my laptop got stuck and when I opened it to use it the surface area containing the keyboard and touchpad broke. I ordered the replacement part and through a little research found out that Raymond's company, ART Computer Maintenance and Repair was close to me. Raymond gave me a very fair price without even seeing the damage first. We met at a local coffee shop where I dropped off the computer with Raymond. While there we sat down and had coffee and got to know each other. Immediately Raymond gave off a vibe of friendliness. By the time we were ready to leave I had a really good feeling about Raymond and was very confident that I was dealing with the right person. While repairing my laptop Raymond discovered that the battery had swelled up so much that it caused the expansion that broke the laptop, so he ordered a new battery and replaced it. Today, I met Raymond to pick up the laptop and pay Raymond for his work and I am writing this review on my repaired laptop.

He sat through and participated in my frustratingly difficult conversation with my internet carrier, clarifying the Q & A patiently. The service I requested was a data transfer from one system to another. The service I received was above and beyond. GREAT local technology support!

Not this time! It would not boot in spite of more than 6 hours of DIY recovery attempts. I found Napa One with a Google search, and sent Don Hirsohn a detailed email describing the Mac, OS, and problems. I asked if he could restore it and recover 650 GB of applications and data. He replied immediately that he could do that, and I arranged to bring the Mac to him in Napa the next morning. He was able to reboot the Mac that day but determined the HDD was failing. He recommended replacing it with a 1TB solid state drive. The drive was ordered and received in 3 days. Don then restored the Mac from my TimeMachine drive. The Mac is working perfectly now with all files intact. A lifesaver! Loading apps and large files is noticeably faster with the SSD. Some apps required recertification, and he advised me how to do that for my Microsoft Office products. He also made a bootable USB drive as a savior for any future recurrences. Don was very knowledgeable about the problem and very responsive. He charged a fair price for his services and for the new drive. I am 100% pleased and I recommend Don highly. He is now my go-to person for any future Mac issues.

Don ordered my last Mac and was extremely glad I went through him because he saved me money by handling the order. PS: doesn't charge a fortune. A satisfied client Jim Hilsabeck Napa
