We are an Asian American family and I felt like we were being targeted because there were a bunch of other "non minority" kids playing football and running into people but none of them had said a word. She just had her eyes on us the whole time. He already has a swim pants on and then I said that she seen us enter and we were sitting down in front of her face the entire time why she didn't say anything when we first got in. she was there and seen us but didn't say anything until my son started to have fun. I didn't like the experience so we left. She was a blonde girl between 5'6 - 5'7 monitoring the kiddie pool around 1:15pm 12/30/24 The prices are affordable and the place seem really decent enough I'm just not happy with the worker that told us right when I finally got my son to open up. It took a long time to show him the water was ok. He is non verbal so to see him smiling and having fun then being told he can't wear that already an hour in, hurts.

This review is specific to the Orem Rec/SCERA Summer Swim Team…read more I was disappointed with the program. I did it when I was a kid and had a great experience. The program has certainly gone down hill since then. -The coaches provided no guidance or instruction. - The coaches had no real training program for the kids, they would just cycle through a couple of strokes without any other practice. - Despite repeated email and in person requests our kid never got the swim cap nor t-shirt that was supposed to come with the program.

With the exception of it getting a little bit too busy lately we think this place does a really good job at providing a nice place to work out for families. Today, me and my kids wanted to play basketball in the gym. Many of the hoops were much lower than 10 feet. Not a big deal. we went and talked to a couple of the girls behind the desk to ask them to raise the hoops so that we could play basketball at regulation height. One of the girls stood up to talk to me and said, "no, I think all of the hoops are at the right height. " I responded and said, "no, many of them are around seven or 8 feet. They should be at 10 feet. "She looked at me like I was speaking a different language and said no I believe we can't adjust the height of the hoops. I realize that maybe I was speaking to someone who had only worked there for a little while and maybe didn't know the rules or the procedures around raising and lowering the hoops. So I said, "I believe we can raise the hoops and you can use that tool (pointing at the tool by her) to raise them. If you get a chance, please help us raise one of these hoops to 10 feet. " I thought that I was really nice and respectful. What happened is nobody ever came out to help us raise the hoops to 10 feet they just sort of ignored our request. Not the end of the world, we still love this place. But I hope in the future, the staff is trained and able to assist in these types of things.

This was really common and disgusting. One toilet stand was unbelievably dirty for 3 weeks until someone cleaned it. I put up with it until they cranked up the water temperature to 84F which made it impossible to do serious lap swimming. The pool managers I spoke to about it were extremely rude. My notes about the smell of urine didn't seem to make any difference. The front desk people were nice but calling to ask them about the pool availability was useless as they would give me incorrect info. By comparison, the Gene Fullmer's Center where I went to for a year prior to DD was perfectly clean, only more crowded.

They have wall climbing which we didn't get to try since we arrived to have a couple of hours of swimming before closing. They have lap pools for adults and right size of toddler swim/play area and regular pool. There was a birthday party during our visit and the room was big. The restrooms/shower room looked spacious. We didn't have to use the shower or restroom. Entrance fee is not minimal and varies (kids, adult l, senior). No parking fee and with big parking space. .

This is a very unique experience that I won't soon forget. Pricey so may be a one time experience,…read morebut if you are reconsidering it... I say do it once! They say that over 10,000 years ago the Homestead Crater was formed when melting snow along the Wasatch Mountains mixed with heated geothermal hot springs 2 miles below the earths surface started spewing out water and picking up minerals such as limestone which were then deposited above the earths surface forming a volcano or "beehive" like formation. A Swiss settler discovered it in the late 1800's and named it a hot pot. Originally visitors had to be lowered into it via cable. As of the mid 1990's there is now access via a tunnel. We of course had to check it out and I'm so glad we got to experience it and learn about the history. It wasn't as hot as I had expected it to be, and while I initially thought 50 min was not enough of an experience, it most certainly was.

Lockers and changing rooms (but not showers or bathrooms) are available for your items after you enter the crater. The online purchase to reserve your spot was easy. You should bring your own towel and lock for a locker. The Homestead facility is currently undergoing construction, so I realize the check in experience may improve later. The signs for parking and check in locations were confusing and/or incorrect, and multiple employees with an H polo didn't help us with finding the lot when we were clearly looping around among construction unsure where to go. I'd recommend to Homestead to remove/cover the arrow sign to the crater on Bluff Rd until that construction is complete. Additionally, I recommend better check-in signage on the beige activities building since this busy country club has many "activities" from tennis to golf that aren't necessarily linked to the crater. Temporary A-frame signs would be sufficient. I felt safe in the crater with the required life vest, and we signed waivers before entering. The view from the top of the crater is lovely if you're willing to climb a few dozen steps.
