Scott arrived quickly and did a great job getting me to the repair shop. He was patient, and professional. Thanks Scott!!

Called in a panic and very time restricted dilemma. The gentleman who answered was friendly and efficient, answering all my questions. Upon asking how much, it was extremely reasonable for a 17 mile tow and when given the receipt, the price was the same as given at the quote. We had called other companies, being told they were unable to help due to short staff. Payless Towing showed up within 15 minutes of us calling. Thank you again! read more

Never easy or fun to call a tow truck for your tow truck but these guys have been there for me several times and help me my friend and my customers when we cant get to them. If ur in the federal way or surrounding areas this should be your first call. When others say no they say yes or they tell u who will. Sorry didnt take any pics read more

I highly recommend this towing company. I called them and got a good quote compared to 3 other companies that I called. They recommended I call back the day I wanted my vehicle towed which was yesterday and it was picked up within 30 minutes! Great customer service and I had no trouble with anything. Thanks guys for your help! Best rate in town!!! Fast service! read more

Payless Towing has taken care of me twice now and did so promptly, professionally and more cost effectively than any other local tow outfit. Mike makes sure his customers are taken care of with both good equipment and skilled service. I don't bother to call any other company if I break down. Top local tow service. read more

Great guy never a dull moment. Reliable and intelligent informational. .

Tow guy damaged my front lip of my car and didn't want to take any responsibility for it knowing that it was his fault. I called the GM for reimbursement and they told me they weren't going to do anything since I should have paid attention to any objects in the way. How does that make any sense? The tow guy is supposed to make sure that there is adequate enough space to safely load the car up without damaging anything. The tow guy later tried to lie and say I didn't stop when he told me to stop but I have video evidence showing he kept telling me to keep going which made my front lip get caught on the chain. They said they would promise to call me back about the damage after reviewing the video but they never did, probably because they realized it was completely the tow guy's fault. NEVER HIRE THIS BUSINESS, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR PROPERTY. read more

They answered really quickly. I had window of time to get a car out before my driver came back with dumpster. They made it happen on virtually no notice. Driver Scott was quick and a funny dude, who knows his stuff. The tow wasn't an easy pull out but made it seem effortlessly. The price was the best around and I have used many companies. read more

To be honest I'm really not a fan. They towed my boyfriends truck from my apartment complex while a valid guest pass was good for 24 hours, without warning. I showed up at 11:30 to their office to bail out the truck, they weren't there I called and was hung up on by one gentleman and called back, after them telling me we'd wait 5 minutes for help it was actually 20-30. I'm not mad about waiting just the dishonesty and the rudeness. I've heard their truck come out to my complex between 1-5 in the morning, waking me and my neighbors along with the dogs. They've towed my neighbors cars when they were sleeping at night having them wake up unable to work the next day without a car. Their requested services by customers might be great but their business contracts with complexes make them seem like terrible people. They tow vehicles without warning, no letters warning 24 hours before, no call nothing. A little humanity especially during covid would be nice. Their tow cost me $370 and put me in a tough financial bind when they're literally walking distance from my complex read more

Our car was towed related to a medical emergency on the road. We went in to get the car after being discharged from the Hosp. The kind man at the towing company gave us a 25% discount since it was an 800+buck bill and he was feeling compassionate. Then, he leaned back in his chair and said, "I want...what I want is...5 good Google reviews in exchange for your discount." So, here is the first. read more

Wasted my time I called to have my car towed to a auto shop I WAS TOLD I WOULD ONLY WAIT A HOUR AN A HALF AFTER WAITING 2 HOURS I called the tow company back was told I had 30 minutes to go. NO ONE EVER CALLED OR SHOWED UP I called another tow company thanks for wasting my damn time! read more

I had the displeasure of dealing with Corey of this place. He was rude to both myself and my motherQ in law. When I asked him about his attitude he got an attitude with me. When I walked away he had the same poor attitude to another co-worker when telling him to move his truck. He told my mother in the the tow fee was 75 I understand that it was a misunderstanding but the attitude was not appreciate read more

Office staff is rude. Prices are astronomical. $89 a day for Storage. My vehicle was towed yesterday at noon. I was here today at noon to pick it up and they had to go to lunch. I returned at 1:30 to pick it up and they're charging me a day and a half storage at $89 a day. Absolutely ridiculous. The gentleman in the office, some tough guy and run his mouth, then decide to come out and have a man to man conversation with me face-to-face and then asked me to leave because I called him out on this day and a half Storage when it's only been here a day. I would not recommend this company. I hope my vehicle never gets towed by this company again, y'all have a nice day be blessed. read more

THIS TOWING COMPANY IS ABSOLUTELY TRASH AVOID IT AT ALL COST!!!!! i would give the no stars if i could. I came outside from my apartment to see my car was gone so i called the towing company to see if they towed it for them to tell me they didn't have my car so i thought it was stolen so just when im about to report my car stolen they call me back to tell me they actually do have my car, they were charging me $425 fee and $100 everyday after that, first red flag. then they have all the wrong info on their website saying the take card but when i was trying to get my car they "only take cash" and on their signs posted has the wrong address so i went to the wrong address before i found the right one. red flag number 2. and they're EXTREMELY RUDE PEOPLE SHOULDN'T WORK THERE IF YOU CANT TREAT PEOPLE RIGHT. they also have dogs locked up in a little trailer outside the establishment its animal cruelty smelt like old pee and it was hot. read more

Payless is the towing company for my apartment complex, and boy, are they a piece of work. Circling the parking lot at night and picking up cars that haven't been called on doesn't bother me. Charging exorbitantly sucks, but that's pretty much what tow companies do. Nothing out of the way there. And if you're illegally parked, hey - that's on you. But the customer service in this place is the worst I've ever seen. In the 3 tows my family has had over the last year and a half (One of which was for a visitor who got towed for parking in a visitors spot!), we have been hung up on, threatened, lied to, belittled, yelled at, put off, and treated like dirt. Mike is the worst of the bunch - for any perceived slight, real or imagined, he'll see to it that you have to jump through ridiculous hoops in order to get your car. He's not alone - for the most part, the customer service in the office is just awful. And my family isn't alone in thinking so - many people, in the complex and out, report such problems with Payless. Look at their online reviews! It honestly appears that this crew is not only allowed but encouraged to mistreat their customers. No amount of complaints will change matters in a company that actually seems to take pride in such behavior, and that's what bothers me. Customers are already frantic because they don't have their vehicle - there's no need to add insult to injury! read more

How is the towing company not able to tow a car it's winter time what the hell do you only tow in the summer time I pay service and you guys can't even tow a car bad business very bad business. This guys are absolutely horrible. Mike who claims he is the GM is the worst of all. If you question anything or ask for a reason he just hangs up on you. If you can avoid dealing with this company I would suggest it. I'm not sure how any company continues to work with them. Bad reviews for the bast 6 years. Something isn't right. Take your hard earned money (unlike these crooks) somewhere else. If I could legally do something I would. Just another victim to this horrible company! read more

Terrible customer service. I called to ask a question politely and was hung up on. Can't believe they are still in business.

0 stars if I could choose. Called to get my car out of the impound. Got here and the person was on "post office run". Called to ask how long the wait time was and driver Mike exclaimed I was harassing him. Said he was going to take an extra hour of lunch just because I called. Worst customer service, the kind that questions if they do things legally here. If he charged me an extra hour of holding time, I would've sued. Nothing more but inconvenience and headaches here. read more

I'm so sorry there are so many one-star reviews for this company. I had a great experience with this company. Broke down on S320th St. at the turn light by target. Called one tow company, 4 hour wait. Called Payless and the driver was there is 15 minutes. George (the driver) was so nice and made sure I got into the tow truck immediately, as not to get hit by the inconsiderate idiots on the road, honking at me! Dumb people, I had flasher on, car broke down, not much I could do, DUH!!! Hooked up the car quickly, was very kind to me and professional. I felt very safe and he eased my stress. Unless your car is being repossessed please do not take it out on them. They are just doing their job!! Not an easy job! Thumbs up Payless read more

Nothing like taking advantage of stranded females! Towed wife's car 3.8 miles and charged $138! If this is your standard rate, please remove "Payless" from your name. It's very misleading. Payless Towing - Towing Near Me - Federal Way, Washington

Unbelievable! They won't take a credit card over the phone so we must pay their outrageous fee for storage over the week end and make you go in person to get a vehicle back! Being held hostage by Payless Towing is a trick they play to rack up the bill. Employee's are very rude. The cuss and hang up on you. Just the worst. Stay clear! read more

Excellent customer service!!! Very helpful and was there to tow the car in 10 minutes!!! Awesome job Payless keep up the good work!!! Highly recommended! read more

Can you give negative stars? Payless towing is a horrible outfit, the owner, Mike, hung up on me several times upon me asking if my car was at his lot. The owner, Mike, is rude and obnoxious, and a downright despicable human being. I understand the towing business is really the most pleasant business in the world, but there is a way to treat people with respect and Mike needs to choose another line of business. When I went to get my car out of their yard, the cashier had never done a credit transaction in her life!!! This is not rocket science, people, a five minute job took me 30 minutes JUST TO SIGN ONE PAPER AND ONE RECEIPT. Any business out there who is looking for a reputable company to handle their towing nee? DO NOT CHOOSE THIS ONE!! read more

Horrible employees. Had to call 5 times just to get a hold of someone, after he answers he hangs up and ignores my calls after that. Rude and lazy would define this company just right. read more

My car was impounded from the ace hardware store on 312 in federal way about 615pm, 20 min later I was on the phone with Payless asking if they had my car..response was yes: cost was $421 come back after 8am the following day and it would be $40 cheaper..told them I would be there within the next 30 min..got to the entrance/exit where they told me to go, 45 min later and 4 calls later they finally opened up the gate..another 15 min on top of that they released my car..this was by far the worse place ever..bad customer service, over priced, (where the car was at to the yard is less than 1 mile) Furthermore if your car gets impounded after 5pm then it's cash only no debit/credit is allowed read more

Worst business in general I've ever encountered let alone for a tow service. Received a call from my wife stating she was at her sisters apartments and that a tow truck was hooked up to our car. He was extremely rude to her and had her in tears and told her unless she had 260 dollars the car was being towed with our two children's car seats in them as well. I immediately called dispatched where I was introduced to another very rude man who proceeded to tell me that to unhook (not even put back on the ground) was going to be 275 dollars, crazy they don't even have thier rates know among themselves, I guess robbery is robbery. When I arrived the driver had my rear wheels attached and his truck ready to go, I asked if the hook was Complete he said yes and if I didn't pay it was going to be towed. I proceeded to tell him what a moron he was trying to tow a AWD vehicle by just two of the wheels and tear up my transmission if he planned to do it that way, he didn't seem to care and asked if I was the owner of the vehicle. Wanting this nightmare to end, to calm my wife, and get both my children home, I had no choice but to pay up at the time, I fully intend on taking them to court over the over charge seeings how according to RCW they are not aloud to charge more than 135% if the hourly rate. See you in court, even if I only get 20 dollars back, lose a day of work, and travel time, it will be worth having on record what a bunch of lowlife scam artists these guys are. read more

Horrible customer service. I called to see why they didn't leave my car at my house. Mike was so rude I couldn't even have a conversation with him. Even then he threatened to call the police for non payment of services???? WTF?? read more

The customer service aspect is terrible. The drivers are very nice! And very sweet! But the lady that sits behind the window helping people is extremely rude. Seems as though she had an attitude all of the time. She should be happy that she's in doors and not out towing cars because she acts like she does both. She makes the company look bad. Good thing for the nice drivers. read more

Plus side, everyone was friendly but I guess you can afford to be when you screw people over for a living. They took my car from my parking place at my apartment building and charged me $400 to get it back. It was a holiday so I couldn't reach my apartment manager to complain. They only take cash as well which strikes me as a very below the table way of doing business. Luckily I had more than one account with enough money to draw from to get it from the ATM. Don't buy a car from these people and don't call them if you need help. They are the worst kind of parasites. read more

do not use this place, they tore part of my bumper during the towing, and said that since I don't have proof that I get to pay for it. How are you supposed to have proof? Quick service! These guys are the go-to company for towing services here at my apartment complex. After an unknown vehicle parked in my rented parking space for several hours, this company helped me (I never saw who owned that car and I think I was very generous for not doing anything about it for that long already). I finally had no choice but to have the vehicle moved out of there before my hubby came home from work (it was already past 10pm). Thanks guys for the quick and friendly service!!! read more

The most delightful man came to tow my car (my baby) after an accident. Treated it with care and managed to help calm me down with heartfelt empathy. These guys are good at what they do. They delt with the insurance people and managed to keep the drama down. They are professional and I think that the negative reviews I have read are a bit overstated. If you park illegally in a signed area, your fault if you get towed. It is standard $500 to release an impounded vehicle in Seattle, where I used to manage an apartment building with limited parking spaces. We had violaters all the time. Sorry but these wonderful folks are getting a bum rap. They are honest and kind. Rare these days. read more

Too bad I can't leave a 0 Star review but, Never in my entire life of dealing with a tow company have I received such horrible customer service. My Car was stolen and this is the company that recovered my car. They gave me the run around of how I had to set up an appointment (I did) no one was at the shop, Then called numerous times, and even came after hours and was told to call in the morning. Later to find that my car was auctioned (Illegally, mind you). Today I called to get a release on my vehicle from them, and the gentleman told me to send an email (Which I've sent 3). Then as I was trying to explain that I had sent emails, he continued "I don't want to hang up on you, I have two other people on hold on the other line, send another email" ridiculous!! poor poor poor customer service, horrible communication, and unprofessional. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE! 5 thumbs down! read more

Do not let these guys talk you into towing your car to their tow yard! They told us we could tow it to their shop and get a quote for repairs. If not, they would buy the car from us. Well once we got to their office, they told us that the guy who towed us was new and he didn't know what he was talking about. They told us we had to pay for the tow fee or they would just keep it and wave the cost but wanted the title. The bill was $108. They ripped off my uncle who they took advantage of as he had no car and no other means of getting it out of the tow yard that day. They said if we didn't give them the title, we would have to tow the car that day out of their facilities and they were going to charge double!!! Are you serious!? Not only were they rude, but also seemed to put out by working with us....rolling eyes, shaking heads, talking over us...sure your job sucks, but we hired YOU....we HIRED YOU to HELP US TOW and all you did was take advantage of us. Perhaps you'd have better ratings if people actually knew what they were getting in to..... read more
