The driver promptly arrived and gave me the pricing and asked if I would be using cash. I said "no", I told the office I would be paying by credit card. Driver said he had been given the wrong payment instruction or do I have Zelle then contacted the office. I was asked if I had the card and told them no I would have to go in to my house to get it. Driver told me I would have to use it over his phone, I asked about a receipt and was told it would be emailed me. I was very skeptical because this is not how the previous owners handled transactions. I told the driver I was not comfortable with this and I would call someone else. He still had the office on the phone and they began yelling at me that why would I call another company since they were there, but I did not like how this monetary exchange was going to take place. Office continued to yell over the phone saying they were going to charge me for coming out. I just walked away and went into my house.

Other towing companies were described as scam artists, or took hours to arrive, etc. You often hear that towing companies can be shady. So needless to say, and as this was my first experience breaking down, I was preparing for the worst. But no! Fat Man's delivered such incredible service. They sent out a truck while I was on the phone with them and arrived in 20 mins (Auburn to Puyallup). The driver was very friendly and had such a great attitude. His demeanor helped relieve my anxiety and frustration with the whole situation. They claim to have the "Best rates in town. No one beats our prices". I can't confirm this since I wasn't going to call around price checking with the 'shady' companies, however, I was shocked that the total cost was about half of what I expected. And a third the cost of a fuel pump... which looks like a chunk of plastic, grrr.
