I got to see Brian in action. He packaged my aunt's furniture by wrapping it up like swaddling a baby. Things were moved carefully and got to the new house in one piece. This was a smooth and pleasant transaction. They work all 7 days!

I was informed that that had been some mistakes made in the estimate and the price was increased. I do believe it was some $1200. On the day of the move. A box truck arrived, and I asked about the semi and he told me that they were going to repack at a different location. Well, that seemed kind of odd because I was told that I would not have half of a semi of material and now I'm being told that it's going to be more so now that he's telling me it's gonna be more he's pointing fingers back at the people I talked to at the company and the company is pointing the finger back at him telling me to both wrong, but of course he's not gonna do anything until I pay him an additional fee I was looking for the semi that they had told me was going to be not quite half field with my belongings when the movers arrived I was informed by the supervisor that this would be more than had expected, and that the area would be more than a half of a semi, but they came with a rental truck that was maybe 24 feet box truck pack this truck at my home and go to the semi and they rit well in the day of the rival on 11 August I was told that they wanted the final payment and it could not be a personal check. It could not be credit card or debit card. It had to be in postal money orders so now I'm on my way to the post office for money orders for some over $4000. Once the movers start bringing the belongings in I see that I have been charged for additional packing and their packaging was and I have photos taking wardrobe boxes and just piling things in on top of each other. No packing material no nothing just pile it in a wardrobe box tape it up and I had several boxes this way and charged for additional packing. This was a nightmare you wouldn't believe but , I'm told that moving is one of the most difficult things that you do well I have moved several times in my life. This is the worst, it could not have been worse. I have other folks property in with my shipment and I am missing several boxes that I packed. I guess you should never say it couldn't have been worse, but it was terrible. Cross country Movers has a number of moving companies that just aresimply called Cross country Movers but my Movers came out of Maryland, and as I said, it could not have been worse. Anyone using this company after I write this review you get what you get. PS I have a new phone and the photos are on a thumb drive. If I can figure out a way to get them off the thumb drive onto the review I will place them there.

Guess my review got taken off...what's up with that? I'm here again to write what should be on…read morethis site. Called Kerb because they had a high rating. It was someone new as we usually used local movers. We've moved multiple times within the many years we've been here in Maryland. This was a local move from Brewers Hill to Upper Fells, not far at all. I called to make sure they did local moves and they said yes. It seems as I called someone in California. They were very receptive initially. After I deposited the money, I didn't get any information until a few days before and I actually had to reach out to them first. I then got a call from someone that didn't really know the situation. Couldn't get a hold of the guy that initially started it all out. I was hoping for the best. All that aside, I was told the guys would call me 30 mins before. I got a call at 8 or so in the morning the day of. He did not have the addresses of any of the places. Found out he didn't have the right size truck. I was quoted an estimate and understood that it would probably be a bit over that, but not 500 dollars over. 1. Tried calling that day to get a hold of ANYONE...2. Guys started moving slower...understood but they only had 3 guys and I told the initial guy in california (in which he obviously didn't get a good understanding of how much we had) so the 2 bed house with a 10x10 storage unit and more boxes in the basement of the place we were renting...I told him I would even get pictures. ANYWAYS!!! Frustrated that it was taking way longer as the guys finally got to the house with, I thought, all of it...found out that it was not a big enough truck to make it all in one run. This pushed the amount much higher as they started to move slower. I realized that since this probably was not KERB...it was contracted out...the onus is on KERB for not getting a good understanding of what we had, not even calling me back the day of, and then trying to email and phone me after I had put up a bad review. Sorry, but you should have called me that day. You should have gotten a better estimate on what was being moved. If Yelp's not recommending software either deletes this or whatever it might be that they take it off again...I'll add it again. Not happy with Kerb or Yelp at this point. Hopefully people find this helpful and shop local.

We've used other movers in the past for similar long distance moves and in terms with overall experiences, Kerb was the best! They were very particular about arriving on time for pick up. With that being said, they were 15 mins late. Lol. But i have to say their hard work made up for it. The movers was very thorough with the package and handling ensuring that no items received had a slight scratch. These guys are definitely well trained professional movers. Amazing moving skills that I would of never ever thought about. These guys work with nothing but boxes, crates, tape, plastic and bubble wrap. We were amazed. The good new is nothing came ruin or broken full service of packing and unpacking. It doesn't get better than that. My family was left highly satisfied with the personal attention and responsibility taken by the company during the move. Gotta give these guys a try if anyone one looking for a long distance move.

I contracted Move X for door-to-door transport of my vehicle from Louisiana to California for an…read moreagreed price of $1,750. I paid a $500 deposit upfront. Move X outsourced the job to another company without my consent, and my vehicle was ultimately abandoned in California. From there, I was subjected to repeated misrepresentations: * I was told the vehicle was at the port but not yet in the online system, and that I needed to pay an additional $1,250 for "port fees." * Later, I was informed Move X's bank was "locked" and that I had to pay the port directly. I was charged another $1,650. * I then discovered the first $1,250 went directly to the delivery driver -- not to the port. Because of these failures: * My vehicle incurred abandonment and storage fees ($125 for one week). * Move X also demanded an additional $250 in false "inspection fees." * My mother had to drive three hours to the port herself just to ensure the vehicle was resealed. To make matters worse, the delivery date -- originally September 27th -- was pushed back an entire month to October 27th, forcing my family to rent a car for over a month at our own expense. We are a military family on a limited income, and this experience has caused extreme financial and emotional hardship. What was supposed to be a $1,750 service has already cost us over $3,300 (not including car rental costs). This company's conduct misrepresentation, outsourcing without consent, demanding fraudulent fees, and abandoning my property has been a literal nightmare. Please don't hire them!!

They didn't say Kerb on the truck and they weren't even given my addresses. They called me early to get the information. They showed up from DC to Baltimore...and I thought there was a local KERB company. The person on the other end never returned my calls, someone called a couple days prior to ask the information that they never gave to the actual movers. Wrong size truck made them make two trips. Now understandable, I'd be hella tired after moving my bed a couple of inches which is why I'm paying for movers. So...they started slowing down...whether it was being tired or purposeful as to make their money 150/hr. Now the quality of work...and receptive to what we needed was on point. I commend the workers and they were friendly. So, I put this on the corporation and their poor estimate, poor customer service, and lack of communication to the drivers/movers. I will never use these people again, hell, if I had the guys they contracted to (number), I would use them but make sure they bring the right size truck. I will make sure anyone I know will never use them. I'm guessing these people that gave 5 stars either work/worked for them or they had long distance runs where they got better quotes/service.
