No one else would take on the job of taking two broken printers and turning them into one working one. He did, and I really appreciate that.

Dan actually walked me through the necessary steps to solve the problem while we were on the phone.

It basically is the entire unlocked unthrottled BIOS on a machine that is not available to consumers. I know what I'm doing to a pretty decent degree but just like anyone, I messed up, ended up editing a value that caused my machine to No-Post. I looked far and wide for any service to be able to assist with quite a complicated query - basically can you dump an image of my NVRAM and flip the value I edited back to stock? Almost no place was able to do this I mostly got (we do not service this kind of request as an answer) while some places did in fact respond and wanted to look at my machine, I had a good gut feeling about MicroSoldering Lab - Tech Defense and went with it! Man was I happy I did! This guy is one of the best I've ever seen his ability to diagnose an issue and provide a solution that is above and beyond is truly insane, he was able to not just fix my laptop but RESTORE my NVRAM variables I had worked on diligently for over a year and a half! TRULY masterful, I could never have gotten to this point without such honest and truly professional services. Not to mention something like this you would pay out of the nose for - the charge- VERY fair considering the level of complication in this work! Thank you very much Oktay you truly have reflected a tier above the rest in respects to getting the job done no matter what obstacles were in your path!

Instead the repair ordeal lasted 9 days. I use it for everything so, needless to say, it was an incredible interruption. Furthermore, her final, shoddy hack-job repair failed after only two weeks as the glass began lifting on the upper portion of my screen rendering my iPad essentially as junk. None of the buttons or tabs would work. I would have to turn it upside down to do functions! Initially, she 'accidentally' cut the camera cord on my $800 iPad. I had to wait NINE DAYS for her to finally get the replacement cable. She said she could get it by the next morning. She proffered excuse after excuse, day after day, and my 3-hour repair turned into 9-day ordeal. Needless to say, when I finally got my iPad back, I couldn't wait to get her completely out of my life. Unfortunately, after less than two weeks of her returning my iPad to me, with her replacement glass, it actually started lifting away from my iPad! Not wanting anything to do with her, or for her to get anywhere NEAR my iPad again, I took my iPad to another repair place. It was fixed beautifully and meticulously. It has worked wonderfully ever since. The company that fixed Diane's shitty hack job documented everything. Diane used SUPERGLUE around the entire perimeter of the glass and she didn't even clean up the shattered, shards of glass from when I originally broke it. If you value your electronic devices--keep them far away from her. Speaking of electronics - she is operating illegally. Any appliance or electronic repair company needs to be licensed with the Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair (BEAR). She is not licensed. Additionally, if she damages your devices, you have zero recourse because she has no address. Even her business card is void of her last name or a business address. Stay far away from Diane the Hatchet Fairy.

email thegadgetfairy1@gmail.com…read more On a business trip I cracked my ipad. It was "repaired" by another place (see review). It still did not work. Found Diane the Gadget Fairy at our local San Marcos Farmers Market which is on Wednesday afternoons. She completely redid the "repair" that was done and now my ipad looks and functions like new. She had to replace the glass/digitizer again which is $150. She also found that there was a missing piece, and the antenna was broken. This was included AND she gave me back the damaged parts. She has a background in engineering and really will take the time AND be VERY honest and upfront about what is needed. Mobile truck so she can come to you with her whole "office/repair center". She is in San Marcos on Wednesdays and I believe another market on another day. This is exactly the kind of person you want to repair it vs some young kid who wont really listen and really doesnt know what they are doing. THANK YOU Diane for saving me!!!
