What a blessing to have found Pawsitively Paws and Jess to come to our home and take care of our boys Leo and Lamar. Jess was amazing with making sure our SUPER High needs pets were taken care of and loved while we went away for a few nights. She stayed at our home and I never once had reservations about trusting Jess in our home. Leo took a huge liking to Jess and Was her little shadow during most of the time we were away. Lammy is a bit shy but he ate and even let Jess pet him and pick him up. Lamar is 11 and my husband picked him out as a pup and to this day he can't even pick Lamar up! We hired Malina to watch our baby girl, Keva (1 yr old Bengal cat) for 5 days while we were out of town. Would definitely recommend! When I first reached out, she responded quickly and enthusiastically, and scheduled a meet-and-greet to ensure that we all had a chance to meet and feel comfortable before leaving town. When she came by, Keva instantly took a liking to her. She asked lots of questions to make sure she understood our fur-parenting style, what dates we needed her service, and any special requirements that come with our girl. After a visit that instilled much confidence, we lent her a set of keys so she could access our home. Her rate was very fair - $25 per 30-minute visit, which included feeding, emptying the litter box, about 20 minutes of play-time, AND she collected our mail for us! We decided to purchase a food timer so that she could come by once a day and feed her in the morning, and set the timer for 12 hours so her dinner would be automatically administered. We actually we're gone for 10 days and had a friend coming by on weekends to feed/play with our kitty. Malina was great in "trading shifts" with our friend and really made the whole process super easy! Each day she came over, Malina sent lots of adorable pictures of our sweet girl, and made sure to communicate any info regarding her health/behavior that could be important. At the end, she left the keys on our table (we have a self-locking front door) so we were able to avoid the $15 key return fee, which I appreciated! In summary, Malina did a great job, and we will definitely be hiring her again for our next vacation! read more

Malina, is the BEST! She is very positive and enthusiastic about my dog, Cole. She handles my baby as if he was her own and Cole is very relaxed when I come home so know he's been taken care of like I do. As an over protective dog mom, I worry about dog and consider myself very selective about who cares for my baby when I'm not around. Summary: Top-quality service without being pretentious; below market rate in SF. We left Malina in charge of our two cats for 12 days while we were on the other side of the world. Our main goal was to keep our cats alive and relatively happy for the duration, so we were not fastidious with our instructions. BUT, my sense is that Malina has both the experience and customer service to accommodate whatever her customers (human and animal) require. After we met with Malina in person and she spent some time getting to know our cats beforehand (free of charge), we felt completely comfortable that she would be reliable and could handle any situation that came up. As other reviewers have noted, she also updated us with emails and pictures during the trip, so we didn't have to worry. Usually when we return from even a short trip, the cats have destroyed something in their angst at our absence. When we came back from our two week vacation, however, not only was nothing destroyed, but the cats seemed more relaxed than normal. In short, Malina was excellent, and the price was more than right. Malina started walking my pit-mix, Dudley, about a year ago. She is fantastic and my pup absolutely adores her! Dudley was a rescue and had a lot of issues when he first came home. Like many people during the pandemic, I got a rescue dog. I never had a pitbull before, but I noticed a lot available and I wanted to try. I hadn't had a dog for three years so I didn't know what to expect. I knew I would need help keeping him socialized with other dogs because I use a wheelchair and can't manage more than one. Malina and Pawsitively Paws has been there from the very beginning to look after Romeo, help me keep him socialized, and most importantly help me transition back to working in the office. We used Pawsitively Paws to dog sit our dog for a weekend and they were great! They are very communicative and responded to us quickly. The app they use is very thorough and I was able to include all sorts of extra information about my dog and it made me more comfortable knowing they had a good record. They were prompt at setting up a meet and greet time and showed up right on time. I was a little worried because my boy did not make the best impression (he's a shepherd/hound mix so he's very high energy and very loud and barky). The employee (Magdalena) was very understanding and good with him. I was very comfortable leaving on the day because I was completely confident that someone would indeed show up and I didn't have to worry they might flake (if something had come up they'd have another employee or the owner). Magdalena showed up exactly on time for the overnights and the daily walks. She even played fetch with him in the yard because that's our usual routine and he gets very upset if he doesn't get to play some ball. My dog also had some special dietary needs at the time and she followed all the directions exactly, including using his special slow feeder / puzzle toys. She also provided super detailed report cards after each walk and in the morning. With pictures! From Comet's very first walk with Malina we knew how lucky we were to find her. She takes such care to bond with our pets and understand their needs. She is extremely professional. She's amazing with my aging dog and has an endless supply of patience with the very slow pace and endless sniffing - whole still ensuring Layla isn't getting into anything she shouldn't.
