I really wanted to like this place as our friends bring their dog there. We brought our dog in for a temperament test. So you enter in a cold metal type garage that doesn't smell all that good. We filled out paperwork & went on our way. It was a hot day, so when we picked her up, it looked like most of the dogs were inside that temperature controlled metal garage. Honestly, it reminded us of the Humane Society. The dogs were jumping all over each other. There were many dogs in a small space. They asked who we were picking up & they went to get her. Our dog came out looking kinda scared. They also did not tell us how our dog did, like if she passed her test. We just assumed she did since nothing was said. Not sure if we were supposed to mention she was there for her test. I just assumed it was marked somewhere so when she was picked up they would know. So we just paid our day fee & left. Upon coming home, our dog was also very thirsty. I wish she could talk & tell us what it was like there. read more

Today was Petey's first day at this doggy daycare, and we're already so impressed! Our beagle absolutely loves socializing, and from the moment we dropped him off, he was wagging his tail and ready to mingle. We followed Shannon here from his previous daycare because she's always been amazing with Petey--we trust her completely, and it's clear she really cares about the dogs. The facility is super clean, and we love that there's a temperature-controlled indoor space for comfort along with great outdoor play areas for exercise and fun. Even though it was just his first visit, we already feel confident enough in the care here that we went ahead and booked overnight stays for upcoming trips. Open fields to run, endless games of fetch, belly rubs on demand, and let's not forget the epic nap sessions after a full day of play. I have been boarding my dog at Roxy's several times over the past 5 years. I have had only good outcomes. Unfortunately the place has changed based on the past 2 times she was boarded. 1. When we board our dog we prepackage the meals for the number of days she will be boarded. For a 3 day board we supply 6 meals. When we picked up our pup 1 bag of food was left so she was not fed for one of her meals. This occurred a few months ago and only happened once over the 5 years we boarded our pup. 2. We gave Roxy's another chance this past week by boarding our pup for a week. I called Roxy's while I was away and was assured my dog was well. I picked up my dog this past Friday. I asked the young worker if everything was ok with my dog. She assured me all was good. When I returned home with my pup my dog ran to the water bowl drinking the entire bowl of water. That day she was constipated and did not poop. The next day and Sunday she had diarrhea all day. She vomited what appeared to be orange pumpkin on Saturday. On Monday morning I called Roxy's twice asking to speak with the owner Becky. I received a call back from one of the workers(manager). The worker assured me my dog was in great health and that they did not feed her pumpkin or anything orange. This was obviously NOT TRUE. I understand my dog may have had an upset stomach. I just would have liked to be informed. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ROXY'S. read more

Roxys dog ranch was recommended to me by my sister and her husband who have a dogo. When I called to set up a boarding, I was very rudely told that they did not accept pit bulls due to insurance reasons. Nowhere on their website is breed restrictions mentioned. And for those who don't know dogos basically look like bully breeds. read more

This place is a complete goat ranch. Do not take your dogs here unless all you are interested in is having them run around in a large space, which doesn't happen unless the weather is perfect. Other than that, dogs are kept in a small space, with employees who have absolutely zero dog training or handling experience. If you hate your dog, make sure to board them here. They will have the worst experience of their lives. Don't fall for the trap. They are cheap, and now I know why. Do not trust the five star reviews. They are probably written by employees. The one star reviews are completely accurate. Too bad there isn't a -10 star because 1 is way too generous. One last point. Understand that your dog will be in a crate, if boarded, from 5pm to 7am. Straight from an employees mouth, Addison, not exaggeration. I told my vet where we boarded our dog, and the first words out of her mouth were, "oh...uh". So dissapointed! I had a ( confirmed ) appointment to tour , already pre-registered. I emailed as well as called, fully expecting to love it ...after reading the reviews and great website. Still they did not seem to expect me, and although the guy showing me around was very nice, the Gal that came out of the house ( owner?) did not greet me. The facility was clean , but was also disappointed the group of dogs seemed to lack toys or anything to do in their small contained group spaces. The 5 acre area was closed off. My feeling was that our business was not important to them. May be an isolated experience, but this was mine. read more

We boarded our dogs for the first time for a week. When we picked them up, they were extremely thirsty once we got them in the car. Although our dogs had been vaccinated, both dogs got kennel cough. One dog had the cough the day we picked up but staff didn't mention anything about it to us. Our other dog developed it the next day. We did notify the ranch so they could be aware but didn't seem too concerned. I like the idea of letting the dogs roam but this does allow for the sharing of water bowls, etc. that can increase the chance of spreading kennel cough. It also seemed like there were too many dogs at one time (30-40 plus maybe). We won't be returning. read more

We have been taking our dog Minnie to Roxy's for about a year and a half for daycare. Minnie is a very high energy dog and I always felt bad leaving her alone in our house when we are at work. Once I started bringing her to daycare, I never had to stress or worry about her being lonely! I love that she gets to run around and play with other dogs all day and the staff is incredible. Everyone is kind and caring about each and every dog. When we come in the morning, staff members are friendly and always greet Minnie by name. I also love that Minnie is well worn-out by the time I pick her up after work ;) I cannot recommend Roxy's enough. It is amazing and so worth it read more

I used these guys for the first time this past week and my cocker spaniel came back happy and well rested. I love how this place is on 5 acres and the dogs all stay in a converted barn with tons of comfy couches and blankets. Dogs that aren't friendly are separated in their own stalls. Similar personalities of dogs are grouped together so they are never crated! Lots of space to run and play. Steve the owner and his wife were great to work with! On a side note I love the vegetable and flower gardens on the property. Very pretty! I also like the drive out to the property. Will definitely only use these guys going forward!! read more

Roxy's is a great home away from home for all your dog needs! Our pup had an amazing weekend with their crew, no traditional kennels, lots of room to run and play, and climate controlled building when it's time for a rest. This is not your average "boarding" facility-the love and attention to your pets, the cleanliness of the facility and enclosed grounds, and the friendliness of the staff makes it an easy choice. I thought it was good, but what made this review 5 stars is that I just got an email from them reminding me that her vaccinations were expiring in April. Took my Bernese Mountain pup to stay while out of town for work and was thrilled that my little guy enjoyed himself. I felt comfortable about leaving him, felt comfortable about the facility, and loved the passion the staff has for what they do. He had a ball. We've been taking our dog here for 2 years but after our recent experience I will never recommend them to friends and family again. Apparently my dog was involved in a few dog fights and we were not notified until pick up. I was then told our pup was no longer welcome because he's too aggressive. I have 2 very small children and if there was one aggressive bone in his body we would not have him as our beloved household pet. The owner also questioned whether I ever take him out of the house telling me I'm the blame for his aggressiveness which was incredibly unprofessional. He's been going there consistently with no issues so it makes absolutely no sense. My dog is not very big and he is very beat up/scratched up himself. When I went to pick him up my poor dog was cowering and itching to get out of there. When we started taking our pup it was great. They had just enough dogs to properly look after and they were incredibly attentive. Now after their business has grown I feel they don't have enough eyes to keep proper watch on the dogs. read more

Love Roxy's. Even better, so does my dog. Can leave my dog there with complete confidence and NEVER worry while I am gone. Large, outdoor, fenced play area. Also indoor play area for poor weather and another area for sleeping. Number of dogs at one time limited. My dog will come home several pounds lighter and sleeps for a couple days after lengthy stay there. She LOVES going! Vet tech on premise during day too, Only place we have boarded my dog since we have had her..3+ years. No nickle and diming for extra feeds either. To be fair my experience with Roxy's ranch happened a couple years ago, I decided back then not to do a bad review thinking my experience was a very isolated case but just received notice from them about not doing daycare for a certain amount of days due to too many boarding dogs and all my feelings of this place came back so here I am. we travel frequently and had used Roxy many times, I like the fact that the dogs can use the sofas and are free to roam but I believe there are too many dogs. After picking up my dog from her short stay they handed me all her food back. confused I asked the owner if she was feed she said she must have gotten another dogs food! If that's the case what did the other dog eat? after getting her home I knew she hadn't been feed, she was so hungry. It was a short stay and only 3 meals missed but at what point or how many days would they have noticed? I want dropping my dog off to be less stressful for her but if she's not getting feed all the sofas to sleep on really don't matter. I believe this probably doesn't happen too often, if you have a sturdy dog who likes LOTS of other dogs, sofas and "free range" who can handle perhaps getting "lost in the crowd" than this is a great place, not for my baby. read more

My dog Rubio is a very dad focused baby, a giant Gooldendoodle baby. If I leave him outside a shop he cries and yips horribly. He get stressed out when I take to any groomer. When we get to Roxy's he jumps out of the car tail wagging. So praise from César. read more

My high energy foxhound has been to Roxy's a half a dozen times for stays and LOVES it! He gets so excited when we pull up. I've been extremely satisfied and highly recommend Roxy's Dog Ranch. The boarding house always looks very clean with fresh sheets on a scattering of couches in the barn for sleeping. They also offer to feed them high protein, natural dog food at no extra cost which is the same stuff I buy here at Healthy Pets NW. Or if you have special dog food, you can bring your own. I have nothing but praise for the employees. I wish I could say the same about the owner. I was quoted one price when I dropped off my dogs and when I picked them up they tried to add an additional day, even tho I picked them up by the specified time on the pick-up date. When I simply asked about the charge she said I had an attitude and immediately went to, with a very nasty tone, "pay me what you want and never come back". This all transpired within seconds of her coming into the barn. I can say confidently that I did not have an attitude as my kids were standing next to me and were just as surprised as I was by what was happening. She just did not like me questioning her charges. Because she was so nasty I did not even consider talking it out and paid her what I was originally quoted. I then asked if I could get any food that was leftover and got silence. I asked again since I thought she did not hear me, and again with a VERY NASTY tone said she would get it in a minute. I am happy to never give her my business and warn anyone else that does to beware. read more

I've used Roxy's in the past and their care in matching dogs to pack together has been good as has their ability to separate dogs during feeding times. However, after our recent return from a week long vacation I was shocked to find my dog had been attacked by another dog or dogs while at Roxy's and they did not even notify me of the occurrence when it happened or when I came to pick her up? I discovered it when I was looking her over at pickup time. After nearly $1,000 in medical bills and two sleepless nights dealing with her post-surgery pain, I have to live with the fact that our dog is now permanently disfigured in the eyelid, head and ear due to careless attention to dog care while at Roxy's. I was told by our vet that we are lucky the vicious attack did not take out her eye altogether. read more

Our dog loves it at Roxy's. He loves to play with all the dogs his size and explore the 5 acre yard. They have sofas to lay on and a/c in the barn in the summer, then in the winter their own furnace in the barn to stay warm. If you want to bring a kennel they will do that too but don't require it. Great hours and if you are running late and need to have your dog stay the night no problem just call and pick up the next day. read more
