Aloha Pet Resort and Spa

Aloha Pet Resort and Spa

Highly recommend Aloha! Both my dogs had great experiences on multiple occasions with the overnight…read moreboarding, baths, and fitness club. In the past I've always been hesitant with boarding facilities as I have an older dog (11-year-old lab) and a dog with mobility problems (6-year-old lab with previously torn ACL and hip dysplasia). However, with Aloha, it was evident they both were taken care of and were given excess love and attention. Based on my experiences with Aloha, the employees go the extra step to make sure the pets receive the best care so their owners can have a peace of mind while away from their animals!

The front desk assured me they could do the style and asked me to provide a reference photo when dropping him off. I did exactly that, confirmed with them multiple times, and even told them to call me if they weren't able to do it. They reassured me it would be no issue. Fast forward to pick-up--I was absolutely horrified. The haircut was nothing like what I asked for. It looked like the groomer completely ignored the reference photo, and worst of all, they didn't even bother calling me to discuss alternatives before butchering my dog's fur! I've posted before-and-after photos, including the style I requested so you can see for yourself how much of a disaster this was. The amount of hair they chopped off is shocking. The haircut I initially requested which Aloha agreed to. I won't be returning for grooming services, and I do not recommend Aloha Pet Resort & Spa if you care about how your pet is groomed! P.S. The photos are not displayed in the proper order. The images of the dog being groomed is what Aloha agreed to make him look like, the images with long fur laying down is what he looked like prior, and the images of him standing with short fur is what Aloha gave me.

Shear Bliss Pet Salon - Allie looking pretty!

While the staff was polite, the overall experience was disappointing. I paid for a full grooming package. After picking him up, it was clear that several of those services were not completed and his shedding was noticeably worse than before the appointment, which was the main reason I booked the service. At pickup, the interaction felt somewhat rushed and tense. I was told that my dog had been difficult and was stressing other dogs, which made the experience uncomfortable, especially since this was not communicated during the appointment itself. I understand that grooming environments can be challenging, but clearer communication and a more professional, reassuring approach would have gone a long way. I understand that younger dogs can be nervous during their first groom, and I absolutely support prioritizing a dog's safety and comfort. However, I was not informed at pickup that multiple services had been skipped, nor was any partial refund offered afterward, despite acknowledging that not everything was completed. Communication and transparency go a long way, especially with dog owners. I would recommend that future clients ask very clear questions ahead of time about what will happen if they decide a dog cannot tolerate parts of the grooming process. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for others.

Cedar Heights Pet Clinic - Me and my dog Macho

Cedar Heights Pet Clinic

I started going to Cedar Heights by chance. It was 4 days after I got my 8 week old puppy. She…read morestarted acting sick and lethargic. At that point, I hadn't even decided which vet I wanted her to regularly see yet. I was panicking because my normal vet office that I took my cats to was closed (it was a Sunday) and I didn't want to wait until Monday to take her in. Cedar Heights was the only clinic open that Sunday. My dog saw Dr. Belle and was treated within an hour of calling them. The price was very reasonable considering the emergency visit and my puppy was acting playful again by the end of that night. From that point on (2 years ago) I decided to use Cedar Heights pet clinic, and transferred my cats' records there from my old vet clinic. Now my dog primarily sees Dr. Schaul at Cedar Heights (I think Dr. Belle mainly works at Brookside, which is affiliated?) Dr. Schaul is so friendly and knowledgeable. He explains everything in simple, easy to understand terms and answers all my questions. Dr. Belle has answered all of my emergency calls since my dog was a puppy -- and she's gotten quite a few from me. She's patient and understanding of my worries. I never feel like she's bothered with my concerns. The rest of the staff at Cedar Heights is simply amazing. They greet us with a smile and always make a point to give my dog the attention she craves when new people are around. Overall, I would not go anywhere else. Their prices are reasonable, the staff and doctors are reliable, and everyone is so friendly. Couldn't ask for more.
