I wanted to share my recent experience with this Maltese rescue. I adopted a Maltese from the LA…read moreshelter and realized he wasn't the right fit for my home. He wasn't fully house trained, had some digestive issues, and my resident dog was very stressed. With an upcoming move and job search, I knew I couldn't give him the stability he needed, so I reached out to rescues. Tami, initially responded quickly and asked for photos. Once I sent them, though, the tone shifted -- she began questioning why I was giving him up and seemed to judge me for not being able to make it work. When I explained my situation, she stopped responding altogether. I left that exchange feeling really discouraged. I've always supported rescues and even fostered myself these past few months, but this interaction turned me off from rescuing in the future. I know not all rescues are like this, but it was a reminder that communication and compassion really matter when someone is reaching out for help. I'm sharing this in case anyone else has gone through something similar -- and to say, if you get a cold or judgmental response from one rescue, don't give up. There are rescues that will support both you and the dog with kindness. Thankfully, another reputable rescue met us with grace and has offered help. I only wish the Maltese rescue had chosen not to reach out after we filled out their long surrender application, instead of leaving us feeling judged and unsupported.

I was contacted shortly after for an interview and then the next week went to meet and pick Maisie up from her foster. Judy was very thorough in her interview and making sure that Maisie was a good fit for our family. We had a senior dog at that time and 2 elementary school aged children. Judy told me that Maisie loved her foster family and especially bonded with children so she was specifically looking to pair her with school aged children. Maisie needed socialization and had anxiety at the time of adoption. We work and continue to work with her to help her confidence. This rescue definitely takes their time finding the perfect family for their rescues.

In addition to having animals available for foster and/or adoption, they host fun fundraisers to help raise awareness and money for their cause. My son and I called over a dozen places today to seek help with cremation services for our little kitten. This place was the only one with reasonable pricing and a huge heart for what they do. I was in tears naturally when my son and I arrived to drop off the kitten, the staff were warm and patient. They met me at where I was emotionally to make everything so much more calm during an unfortunate situation. We will miss our "Lil' Petey" but we will forever be grateful to Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery for their heartfelt help with saying goodbye to such a sweet little kitty. I HIGHLY recommend this location to anyone seeking empathetic after-care services for a deceased pet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Diego and Gerry, you were angels for me and my son today!

A year after getting my pup she was having an issue on her front left leg walking and my vet was not solving the problem and also charging me lots of money for nothing . Ary was kind enough to take my pup back and forth to his vet in TJ once a week for a month and get her treated at a fraction of the cost for me. I can't say enough good things about the man he really is willing and will go the extra mile for his dogs and people who support his business and I am deeply grateful for his character . my pups fracture got healed and he pretty much saved the day so thank you sir for all your good work .

We first learned about Ary and One of a Kind Bulldogs in March 2024, after the heartbreaking loss…read moreof my beloved standard English Bulldog, who lived a long, full life of 12 years and 9 months. Our home felt unbearably quiet, so my husband and I began searching for a reputable local breeder. That's when we discovered Ary and his amazing Olde English Bulldogs. From the start, we were impressed by his reviews, videos, and -- most notably -- his facility. It's not what you'd typically expect from a breeder. Ary lives on the property, but his dogs have large, well-maintained play yards, plenty of toys, shaded areas, and an impeccably clean environment. When we visited, Ary took time to educate us about the Olde English Bulldog breed, even though we had already done our research. His passion for the breed and his dedication to finding the right home for each dog really stood out. It was clear that his priority is the well-being of the dogs, not profit. A year later, we are still continually amazed by Ary's ongoing care and support for his customers and their fur babies. He responds to every text within an hour and has fostered a wonderful community through his One of a Kind Bulldogs group. The group is an invaluable resource for training tips, medical advice, and encouragement from other Bulldog owners. One of the highlights is the annual get-together Ary hosts for his Bulldog family, a true testament to the community he has built. We know we're biased because we love our Doopy beyond words, but our vet -- who has cared for all three of our Bulldogs -- confirmed what we already knew: Doopy is exceptionally well-bred. We couldn't be more grateful to Ary and One of a Kind Bulldogs for bringing so much love and joy into our lives.

Almost 13 years with this special Aussie was not enough time. He will not only be remembered by us, but by those he touched over the years. So many memories. Dr. Derek performed home euthanasia on our beloved pet. He gave some tips on how to handle our other pet who may be missing thier partner in crime. He was patient and kind. A . D A Y . U N L I K E . A N Y . O T H E R…read more Today began like any other day. The usual routines, the regular chores, the unusually large coffee. But on this day, something seemed so incredibly cruel. I knew that I was greeting you, my beloved fur family member for the very last time. Only a short while ago you were that cute bundle of energy being chased around the house with a shoe or a wallet or a piece of junk mail in your mouth. You never met a soul, a treat, or a ball you didn't like. Slowly, then all of a sudden... I noticed you wearing down. Sometimes I had to lift you into or out of the car. You no longer wanted to chase the squirrels or bark at passers-by or walk as far as you used to, but that's OK. The love between us was strong and never wavered. In good times and bad. You never cared if I was cranky or stressed or tired. You were my best friend no matter what. My heart hurts because your favorite spot on the floor is now so cold and empty. When it's time to say goodbye, everybody has the same doubts: are we doing the right thing? How can anything be more difficult than to weigh your need for peace against our own need to hold on. But we accept this pain so that it can end yours. And in an instant, your struggle to move and breathe turned to calm. My sweet baby boy. You were ours for a little while, and Heaven is so lucky to have you now. Pro tip: Dr. Derek of Paws Into Grace provided a warm, loving, and dignified end-of-life service for our Aussie. His support, empathy, and kindness was much appreciated on this day unlike any other.
