I am so sad to have to write this review. I have taken my 1 year old yellow lab here a few times and haven't really had any issues. I read the reviews and everything seemed completely normal. They have pools and such for the dogs to play in outside and I knew my wild puppy would love it! Sadly, she was neglected on her last two day stay. See the attached photos for how I received my puppy back. Horrible, painful, disgusting hot spots under her front arms. I assume it's from running around wet outside and then not being properly dried off when she was put in her kennel. I am heartbroken. My poor puppy is in so much pain and is so sad. The worst part is no one said ANYTHING to me about the situation. I picked her up, we drove home and it wasn't until we were walking into my home that I noticed she was having trouble walking. I am SO disappointed that this was never brought to my attention or addressed at all. Needless to say, we will not be returning or recommending. read more

My dog loves going to Paws in Time and I love that I feel so comfortable taking her there! This truly is a great facility for day camp and boarding. Everyone who works here seems passionate about dogs and I feel at ease knowing they will watch over my little Stella with as much love and care as I would. We initially started using Paws in Time when we needed a great place to board our dog for a week while on vacation. We've never boarded her anywhere for more than a couple nights (Grandma & Grandpa usually watch her), so I was a bit nervous about where to leave her. We previously had taken her to day camp elsewhere, but there she played in a room all day and not outside. I knew I didn't want her cooped up for an entire week, so I was psyched to let her try out Paws in Time instead since it's a whole dog resort! The dogs are able to play all day in a large facility where they have access to inside play and the outdoors. In the nice weather they have a pool with a slide and other fun toys for the dogs. The best part is honestly all the space they have to run around and socialize with other dogs. They are put in their crates to eat and at night to sleep, and other than that it's cage free boarding. I really appreciated that they fed Stella exactly how I instructed and even gave her the allergy medicine I brought too. I was able to bring a little bed for her and her blanket so she felt right at home all week! We ended up buying a package of day camp sessions which made more sense for us, so it's been nice letting her go get some energy out on random days... especially now that the weather isn't as nice and she's stuck inside a lot. Pricing is reasonable and pick up and drop off procedures are super easy. I'm so glad we've found a great place to take our Stella so she can play with other dogs and stay the night if we go out of town! read more

BEWARE!!!!!! Our sweet pup boarded here for 10 days while we were out of town. When we picked up our girl early Sunday afternoon - July 2020 - Her condition and timidness told a sad and sickening story. She has two ears that were both bitten, one completely through and bloody. She has a very large sore above her little nose, she has a scratched eye that is extremely weepy now, she has multiple scratches and what look like possible punctures all over her legs and side. I absolutely NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY FOR YOUR PET. They have some major issues and I don't know if it is neglectful/abusive staff, understaffed or too many dogs to monitor appropriately. But they were absolutely terrible in the care of our sweet girl and I beg anyone and everyone DO NOT put your dog in their care. read more

We love Paws in Time! We hired Julie to train our puppy Mika. She suggested doggie day care and we were somewhat skeptical. Our little puppy was extremely scared of people and other dogs. Julie assured us that this would be a good thing for her to take her to doggie daycare. On her first visit at daycare, she was scared in the corner for about 15 minutes. After that she was running around playing with all of the other dogs there. Mika has had 4 visits to daycare now and she loves going! She runs around and plays all day, when she gets home she is so wore out she pretty much sleeps all evening & night! After taking Mika there for daycare, she is much more calm at home and her play activities with us have changed quite a bit. She is no longer trying to aggressively bite us, and she seems to have a totally different temperament around us now. She is just a really good puppy to be around now. Before her visits at paws in time, she was was a handful at home! I highly recommend daycare for your dog, they need time to be a dog and run and play! read more

I really wanted to like this place, I really did. I first came here when we were going on vacation and thinking of boarding our newly adopted dog. The place seemed nice enough, I was told we'd have to bring our dog in so that he could get temperament tested but I got my quote and planned on coming back. Upon reading the quote and going over their paperwork, I realized that my dog wouldn't actually get daycare on Sundays and that they quoted me for daycare on Sundays even though their website info specifically says that they don't have daycare on Sundays and you won't be charged for it. I called them and someone confirmed that the quote I received was wrong and she failed to mention that my dog wouldn't be getting daycare on Sunday. I didn't like that no one mentioned that since she made it sound like he'd be playing all day everyday. We decided in the end that we weren't going to use them for boarding, we used a place that was further away but my family knew and trusted. They told me how everything worked upfront and I had no surprises. We did decide we would use them for daycare when we got back from our trip since our dog did so well at the daycare we boarded him at. He loved it, he got along with the dogs and all the handlers loved him. What could go wrong at Paws In Time? Apparently multiple things. When I dropped him off and they introduced him to the group, I was told all was good and he fit right in. I asked if he could stay the day then and was told that was part of his evaluation day which again, the girl I spoke to on the phone didn't tell me. She told me the evaluation was 15 minutes, she didn't mention he was able to play for the day. During that day we didn't hear from Paws In Time, once. I figured all was good. Nope. My husband went to pick him up and our dog was in a kennel, not playing. They said he had an issue with one dog but gave us no real information and just said someone would call because they have no managers there at the time. I finally spoke to someone on Monday who really didn't mention him having an issue with one dog. She said based on what her handlers told her that he was alpha and he was bullying multiple dogs (she will say she didn't say this but I responded, "wait, I thought he had an issue with one dog and now you're saying he bullied multiple?") The whole thing was very confusing to me because he did so well in the other daycare and I watched him play so nicely with the other dogs. I continued to ask questions trying to understand what happened but all I was given were stats on how these dogs work. I'm not new to dogs or this breed, thanks. She finally ended up saying we could bring him back and she would watch him and evaluate him. He went back the next day and we received a phone call saying he was doing great and he wasn't showing any of the signs that her handlers said he was showing a few days prior. She said that he could come back again based on what she was seeing. Not one issue that day. Fast forward a few days and he's back in daycare with this one particular dog that they mentioned the week earlier. Again, we received no phone call from Paws In Time and when my husband picked our dog up, he had a puncture wound in his head. The woman at the desk said that she had just gotten there and didn't know what happened but she'd have someone call us. I received a phone call this morning advising that my dog wouldn't be allowed back and that he and this other dog got in a fight. I asked why I wasn't called immediately and she said they didn't notice the puncture wound on my dog. Then she turns around and says that the other dog had a puncture wound and a handler got bit while trying to break up the fight. All this happened and a handler got bit and you didn't notice the puncture wound on my dog's white head? None of this stuff makes sense. I would love to see footage of what's actually going on in that place. The 2nd time my husband went to pick him up (the day a manager was there and we were told he did great) there was screaming and a lot of commotion in the back. He said it sounded like a fight had broken out but he couldn't tell. He just said there was barking, people screaming and what appeared to just be chaos. Luckily, our dog wasn't part of it so I don't know what the issue was. My dog loves other dogs and loves daycare so I really wanted this to work. I'm not saying my dog isn't at fault, dogs are unpredictable and we've only had him a few months so anything is possible. What doesn't add up are all their stories and how they're all different and how no one seems to see anything. That place appears to be pure chaos, especially when the managers aren't there. It's also probably in part that they don't separate any of the groups. They can have 50 plus dogs running together all at once. That's a recipe for disaster in doggy daycare because there are going to be some dogs that just don't like others. It happens. read more

Sometimes we drive her there for $20 tuesdays and saturdays. Maybe this could be something paws in time will one day do as well. Have had great experiences with my pooches at Paws in Time in Oswego. Appreciate that the staff is mindful to ensure that all are current with vaccines and that a disposition evaluation is conducted. Facility is very clean and like that my pooch comes back as clean as I deliver her. She gets lots of running activity and interaction with all different breeds. I would be interested to know if there is a minimum ratio of staff to dogs. Because it is such a nice facility there can be a lot of digs for staff to manage. The staff interacts very well as they seem to love dogs. Also great facility for boarding. read more

We were reaching the end of our rope with our 8 month old Lab. Julie said to bring him in and we wouldn't regret it. He was so tired after a great day of playing, he slept like a baby. They won't even take down your name without having the vaccines for your dogs faxed over by your vet first. I toured the facility and tried to get my dog's names put down for Fourth of July weekend. Since I work during the week I was not able to get the vet appointment until the weekend. They fill up the reservations while I was waiting for the vaccines to be sent over. I wound up giving my business to Oswego animal hospital instead. read more

If you have a small dog, this may not be a good fit. I boarded my 14 year old yorkie there so he could be free of the cage that he hates. The first 2 boardings seemed to go well and he eagerly went back when I boarded him a 3rd time. I received a call that evening that he had a skin tag on his forehead that must have bled but he was ok (I wasn't aware of a skin tag). I figured he got scratched, which I know is a risk when there are other dogs around. However, when I picked him up the next morning, he had a small bloody cut on his forehead between his eyes and I commented that it appeared to be an injury, only to be told again that it was a skin tag. It was obvious immediately that something was wrong, as he was very lethargic and wouldn't eat or drink (they informed me of this as soon as I arrived but didn't show concern). By that afternoon, I was so worried about his lack of activity that I took him to the vet, who found that there appeared to be additional bruising on his head and she felt he had been bitten. He was already starting to run a fever from infection and he appeared traumatized and in a great deal of pain. I spoke to the Paws in Time manager the next morning and she assured me no one witnessed anything happening to him, and stated he didn't spend any time playing with the other dogs and maybe he threw himself against his cage and injured himself (this is not something my little old man would do). Then a week later, we were at urgent care getting an abscess drained where we discovered another small puncture in the area where the bruising had been previously identified. I'm sure this is a wonderful option for larger dogs but I don't recommend it for a small dog. In addition to the risk of injury, the explanations I received to explain the situation were just not satisfactory to me. read more

We absolutely LOVE Paws In Time!!! When we got our lab I asked our veterinarian if he had any daycare/boarding places he could recommend. He mentioned he personally checked out Paws In Time for his dogs and loved it! There is so much space for the dogs to run and play ALL day! They aren't locked up at any point unless you request them to for a rest. Otherwise, it's play, play, play! The staff has been so sweet and has followed up with us multiple times for different reasons. Reassuring us once again that this is where we need to be. It has been a tremendous help having Paws In Time to give our dog the exercise he needs. He comes home happy & exhausted! Just what I was looking for! read more
