My pup Bo had a trial day at Paws & Play earlier this month. I cannot say enough good things about this facility. Even though we won't be coming back. We quickly found out that Bo is an impressive jumper once he was in the care of Paws & Play. He was able to clear their 6 foot fence! Luckily they caught him and called me immediately. At pickup we were told that not only had he jumped the fence he jumped from stall to stall (just to socialize) and that's the reason he isn't allowed back. I 100% understand this decision and respect it due to safety concerns. They spoke so sweetly of my jumping bean despite all the trouble he caused. Even recommended other facilities in the area that could possibly help. Based on my experience, I can attest to how much the employees & owners care for these animals. They were sad Bo couldn't come back, but maybe once his jumping is under control we can try again. read more

A friend recommended Paws and Play which came highly reviewed. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I was expecting. My husband and I boarded our 4-month-old puppy for a week while we went on our honeymoon. Our puppy is fully potty trained and great with other dogs and humans. Initially, things were going well and the staff was helpful with questions I had. They gave him a "trial day" to see how he would respond to the environment and did phenomenal. However, when we picked him up after our trip yesterday , i cried in the parking lot because he was filthy and almost borderline neglected. He smelled so strongly of urine and was covered in dirt that it started to matt in some places. His eyes were crusted up like they hadn't been cleaned in days and I picked 3 or 4 burs out of his skin when we got home. All of the toys that we brought him for his bedding were also soiled in dry pee and dirt. I was so upset especially since I was told they were going to give him a bath before we picked him up. We payed almost $350 for this service. Additionally, I had requested regular updates and pictures via email since we would be out of the country, but only received a few pictures and a single message that said: "He is doing great mom" When we picked him up there was no feedback given on how he did, if he had been good, or any issues. And clearly there was some. As a first-time puppy owner, communication is important to me, and I was disappointed that there was no feedback or information about his stay. These are just some of the issues. I am so disappointed in Paws and Play and really wanted this to be a good place for him to learn and make new friends. Per all the good reviews, do what's best for your dog but we will not be bringing ours here again. read more

This place is a life saver! I'm stationed at Ft Benning and used them off and on in the past but I needed a place for my pup Sampson that I could trust to watch him while I was away at Ranger school. Paws-N-Play made it stress free and helped with all the little details. When my stay at Ranger went from the original 62 days as planned to 113 days they didn't bat an eye or complain but instead they went out of their way to buy my pup some more food to make sure he was taken care of. When I finally graduated and picked Sampson up they were very gracious in the discount they give military. Sampson loved Paws-N-Play and I couldn't recommend this place more! read more

Paws & Play is a second home for my Gracie girl. They genuinely care and go the extra mile for every dog. They make you and your fur baby feel welcomed and special at every visit. They also have grooming services available. I highly recommend them. I have a golden retriever that loves to play and they have been wonderful to our family. I boarded my two pups here for 4 days and I was so happy with the service my fur babies received! They really seemed to enjoy themselves. The owners were beyond nice and even gave me a tour of where my babies would be playing and sleeping. My only complaint (not really a conplaint per se) would be that they do not have any kind of ID verification on the dogs (paper collar with name etc.) I will most definitely be bringing my fur kids back here. read more

This place is incredible, and apparently one of a kind. I am so sad my husband and I had to leave Columbus, Ga for frigid Fort Drum, NY and nearing the top of my list of what I miss most, aside from the weather, is Paws and Play. My dog is my baby and I always feel apprehensive leaving her in the care of others. Paws and Play has the most wonderful staff and the way they introduce and socialize the dogs is wonderful. They have the formula down pat. My girl loved her extended stays here and I felt peace of mind while traveling without her. Paws and play has been a second home to my pup. Every time I go to drop off or pick up they're all smiles and very heart warming! Even considering my dog can be filled with anxiety and bark non-stop they're always welcoming and quick to keep/board him last minute or an extra day here or there. He is always excited to go for doggy care, he knows when we are pulling up! Their groomer is a bonus as well! I tend to be picky on his untraditional cut but they always satisfy and execute...and their prices are something positive to note including mil discount. Plus who doesn't love supporting locally. I give this place a 0 out of 10. I took my dog there yesterday for a trial with a daycare because I'm going out of town soon and my mom is taking care of him and I don't want him being a hyper dog to stress her out. I dropped him off a little bit before 9 am and left around 8:50. They called me back within four minutes to come and get my dog back because he showed fear aggression. I came back to get him and she said that she didn't know what she could do for me with how to work on him with his "fear aggression" this is the very first pet I've ever owned by myself. And I was really worried from the get-go of how he would act and be treated. I called playful pups and asked if I could get a try with them and let them know what happened and they said that they would take him for a trial. He went today to Playful Pups and got a 100% excellent report card with no signs of aggression whatsoever. It took him a while to adjust the environment into the other dogs. If paws and play wouldn't have just thrown my dog into a whole group of large barking dogs at him maybe he wouldn't have been so scared and shown fear aggression. Dogs need time to get used to a new environment and new friends the same way everyone else does. I had a terrible experience and will never recommend or take my service here again. If you need to go somewhere playful pups is the way to go it's a few dollars more but the staff makes all the difference. Sorry for the long review but people need to know! I don't even want to be a Karen about it. But honestly it was ridiculous that they could judge my dog in 4 minutes. And that is not an exaggeration. I work 6 minutes from paws and play and didn't even make it to work before they called me back! TERRIBLE. read more

Today was our first visit to paws and play. I took my little Shih-tzu to get groomed because pets mart was fully booked all weekend (where I usually take him). When we walked in the lady at the desk greeted us and knew my puppy's name and it made us feel welcome, I asked what time he would be ready and they said anytime after 2. I walked in at 2:10 and my baby was ready, I appreciate the fact of not having to wait, they lived up to the timeline. Once they brought my baby out the first thing I was asked was did I like his haircut, and the girl gushed about how good Leo did during his haircut. She was really sweet and i felt as if she took good care of my baby. Let's talk about the pricing, so much cheaper than petsmart, almost half the price. So I have found a new place, so far so good. Leo will be returning, and we will use petsmart as a contingency for when all appts are booked. Don't get me wrong I haven't had any bad experiences at petsmart. This is by far the best doggie daycare I have ever experienced. Mike and Nancy love every dog that comes in. They learn the names of all the dogs and treat them as if they are their own dogs. Could not recommend them enough. read more

Not very happy after our pup's second stay here. First time he stayed he rubbed a raw spot on his nose, which healed fine. Not saying that is Paws & Play's fault, he probably had slight anxiety (but he never did that when we left him at other kennels). This second time we picked him up and he rubbed his nose even worse and on top of that had poop smeared into his fur around his butt. He has never had an accident in his crate besides when we first brought him home and didn't have an accident when he traveled 10 hours on a plane, so I don't know if he wasn't let out for an extended period of time or it was from another dog. My husband did ask them to clean it since he was getting in the car and they rinsed him off. Lastly, because of the mess, we took him right to PetSmart to get him properly cleaned up, and they notified us that he had a broken dew claw. Again, it could have been from anxiety and caught on the crate, but with the amount that it looked like it had bled, it should've been noticeable by an employee and either treated or notified us. Needless to say, I don't think we will be bringing him back. read more

I take my goldendoodle here atleast 2-3 times a month and he loves it!! He's about 6 months old so ensuring he is socialized and interacts with other dogs is key. Plus having an outlet for his crazy energy level is important! The staff is super friendly and they also offer dog grooming services! I would like to recommend that if you have a lighter colored dog that you be prepared to give your dog a bath after picking him up as the mats they play on transfer a lot of color over to their paws. Sometimes it's not as much as other days but it's well worth it because after a full day, my dog is exhausted for atleast 24-48 hours. read more

Called a week before reservation to confirm drop off times for my pet. I asked if 1130-1140 was alright for drop off, I was told yes. We are driving from atl to fl. So we are going out of our way for a place for our pet. We arrive at paws and play to find the doors locked and times are on the door that 11-1 is nap time. We knocked, nobody came to the door, called several times, no answer. Needless to say we were pretty mad. But in the end I was obviously lied to. I was told someone is there All day with the pets. Apparently not if I can't get any answer. Our solution to the problem, we called a vet for a recommended boarding facility in Florida with us. We will never return to paws and play for any needs. read more
