Wanted to love this place but it is just not for us. Our baby is an Aussiedoodle and this was her first grooming experience. I have given two stars because my baby appeared to be happy and comfortable being their however the services did not meet my expectations. Unfortunately the groomer suffered an unexpected loss which resulted in a 9 hr session and no communication until my anxiety got the best of me and I called after 5 hrs as closing time came near, she was the last client. Her cut unfortunately does not reflect what the other reviews compliment as she is uneven in some areas in addition to the hair in her ears not addressed but rather being lightly shaven down even though ear hair removal is a common necessity in doodle grooming. In addition we asked that her head be left full which was not and her paws appeared to be barely groomed as well. All of these hiccups would have been understandable if my baby was non cooperative however the groomer complimented her on how well behaved she was and the state of her coat being well taken care of for a doodle. In the end I paid the doodle grooming price but felt that concessions should have been made due to the time and communication issue. As I said owner is nice and I wanted to like this place but it just was not for us. read more

I was taken my Yorkie their and some one their burn my dog with the clippers and they never said a word they put a banddanner on her and never said anything my title Yorkie was acting funny that evening so I started to check her and you could see that someone in the shop had shaved under her neck to close it cost me $400 + to get her better and I went back to the shop and told them about what they had done and that it cost me $400+ and said that they would not charge for the next grooming I never went back ,so pet owners please check your pets when you pick them up. read more

Took my Niko Bear here for the very first time and I loved that even though he was such a mess (crazy, wild with soo much energy that he moves soo much to give him a trim), they were able to trim to where I can see my Niko's baby face! Will def. bring him back because they were soo friendly. I think i left out a star because I had separation anxiety and I was told he would be there for about 3 hours. I was very anxious and I got there and waited till he was done, he was there an hour longer. read more

Wow! Great service and Torrie never looked better after being groomed! We just moved here from San Francisco and I completely feel that this is the best pet spa Torrie has ever been to. Great prices too on the spa packages and they offer a military discount! Torrie even got cute little bows after her grooming , very cute. I went to Dramatic Paws merely off the reviews and I saw what I liked but wasn't sure what to expect. My experience was wonderful from the time I pulled into the parking lot to their festive outdoor decorations to their great customer service! I applaud the front desk receptionist she did a wonderful job throughly explaining what will be charged and what to expect. Also my little one has motion sickness, so when I got in he puked but she was understanding and that really made me feel that was the right place he should be. I gave my groomer for my Maltese Zeus a picture that I wanted to base the cut off of and I was overall pleased, I love the way he looks and he smells great! Thank You Dramatic Paws!!! Outstanding customer service!!! I took my alpha male Akita in to this pet spa and they did an amazing job. They handled him well. When I picked him up, he smelled so good, his fur was clean, shinny and so soft to the touch! My hands glided over his conditioned fur. We've brought our dog to a few groomers in the area but have been happiest, and remained a customer, with Dramatic Paws. They keep a detailed record of how we like our dog cut and always remember her each time we bring her in. I saw another post about how they keep the dogs all day, that's true but I kind of enjoy that they keep her all day. They obviously allow the dogs time to go out and go to the bathroom during the day and she seems to get a lot of love while she's there. This was the worst grooming experience we have ever had. I honestly wish I could give this business negative stars and that makes me sad to say. I have a three year old male Samoyed. I know grooming him properly takes around three hours. I know it is hard work and I pay/ tip accordingly. So we recently moved to the Ft Benning area for the army and obviously need to find a new groomer. My husband searched and we found Dramatic Paws. We read their reviews and everyone raves about how awesome they were, so we were confident we would have the same experience. Unfortunately we did not. My husband took our dog to them the first time with my instructions on what to ask for (specifically a de-shed with the force dryer). When he got back our dog he was till very thick. It felt as though they didn't do the de-shed. They also didn't trim his nails or his paws or really do anything worth the money we had spent. Also when my husband picked him up the groomer said "he is still a little damp and you should probably bring him back in a few days to so we can brush the rest out." Ummm no. That's why we just paid you. So my husband said 'maybe it was me. Maybe I didn't tell them to do the right thing.' So I said okay I will bring him in myself. A week and a half later we book him an appointment and I made sure to have them block three hours to groom him. I know it take about that long to do it properly. We had to bring him back because he was still so thick from the first time and all the brushing in the world at home could not get out that hair. He needed to be groomed. So I took him back myself and consulted with the groomer what I wanted, what my dog needed, and my concerns about the last time we brought him in. She assured me they have done dogs with under coats in the past and that they would take good care of him. Well they did not. They called my husband a few hours later asking if they COULD SHAVE MY DOG because the mats were so bad. My husband said "don't go anywhere near my dog with clippers. He did not have mats when we brought him in to you." The groomer responded with "well I don't know about that but he is severely matted now." Ummm excuse me? No. That is ridiculous. So my husband picks him up and we find they shaved his back legs and his butt area. YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO SHAVE A SAMOYED'S HAIR. It messes up their hair and the way it grows. My dog also came back home with severe mats on his neck, chest, and belly. That would not have happened if he was groomed properly. That would not have happened if they shampooed, conditioned, and used a force dryer properly. I know because i have been getting him groomed for three years. I know because I have groomed him a few times myself at a local place when in a pinch. Now I have to spend more money to get his hair fixed. I am not sure why this establishment did this. I am not sure why they did not take care of my dog. Don't go to this place. read more

We have brought our dogs here a couple of times and most of the time we really enjoy how they look. Today, however, we brough my little girl for a haircut. She had a different stylist than last time and when I dropped her off I told them to cut her as short as possible and I didn't think I would need to explain that her tail needed to match the rest of her body. They left it fully fuzzy and now we have to cut her tail ourselves to match. You would think that for $63 dollars she would be completely done and we wouldn't have to do anything. We're probably going to take our business elsewhere. read more

A couple days later, I'm also realizing they did an amazing job on their nails--well, on one dog. My other one is pretty anti-nail cutting, and he'd already been through a lot so they rightly skipped it for now. (I love how they don't force the dogs to do anything they don't want to do.) Anyway, my dogs paw a lot when they want to be petted, which is sometimes hard on both me and the carpets. Took me a couple days to realize I wasn't being dug into when the one dog does it now--they did a super job filing and rounding down her nails! My dog does not do well with being in a cage due to the fact she has had health issues and is handicap. I asked up front if it was possible to have an appointment where she could come in and be groomed with as little cage time as possible and the answer was yes. I ended up picking her up 4 hours later and she was still not groomed. If you cannot do something just say so up front and I will try someone else. read more
