We quickly found out that Bo is an impressive jumper once he was in the care of Paws & Play. He was able to clear their 6 foot fence! Luckily they caught him and called me immediately. At pickup we were told that not only had he jumped the fence he jumped from stall to stall (just to socialize) and that's the reason he isn't allowed back. I 100% understand this decision and respect it due to safety concerns. They spoke so sweetly of my jumping bean despite all the trouble he caused. Even recommended other facilities in the area that could possibly help. Based on my experience, I can attest to how much the employees & owners care for these animals. They were sad Bo couldn't come back, but maybe once his jumping is under control we can try again.

Northridge Veterinary Center has taken care of everything: her vaccines and rabies shots, spay procedure, annual check- ups, and even boarding her when I travel. The staff is always so kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Not just toward my dog but towards me as well. They communicate clearly, answer any questions I may have, and always make me feel confident that my dog is in good hands. It is such a comforting feeling knowing she's being cared for by people who are not only knowledgeable but also truly happy to be there. I am so grateful for the love and attention they've given her over the years. HIGHLY RECOMMEND The only downside is that they can be a bit on the pricey side, but the quality of care and peace of mind they provide makes it worth it for me.

One morning she had a medical episode that was an absolute emergency. I called the vet to rush her in and was told I could bring her in within 30 minutes. (Yea - you need an appointment in an emergency.) After about 20 minutes of evaluation, I was told to take her to the Auburn ER. It was 10am. And Auburn ER is an hour away. I DESPERATELY with I had questioned this because it was only 10am and my dog was in medical distress and Auburn is a long drive. She died on the way. I took her into Auburn ER anyway. And they looked her body over and said they believe she had anaphylactic shock. Which is treatable by a vet. So they asked me multiple times who sent me and why did they send me all the way to Auburn? Insinuating that my vet should have recognized the symptoms and treated her. This was a traumatizing experience. And I daily ask myself why didn't I question driving that far with a dog in medical distress. We have taken our new dog to our previous vet. Who in a situation with one of our English Bulldogs, chose to evaluate her for several hours before sending me to Auburn, only because heart issues are a specialty.

Our older dog Franklin needed two separate lateral sutures to fix his torn ligaments in his knees…read more One in September when he hurt the first one which went fantastic no complications. Then the second one went (there was an 85% chance this would happen we were told) and they got Franklin in to see the doc the same day he was inquired to diagnose. Two days later he was set for surgery. Our family has seen Dr. Wally for year and year for many animals Great Grandma down to us. We had never worked with Dr. Harris before but I have to say after what happened Dr. Harris and her team WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO SAVE OUR POOR BOY! Franklin is an older dog and his heart stopped on the operating table. Dr. Harris was able to get his heart back started but then he was not breathing on his own. I assumed the worst possible brain damage, pain, and death. Dr. Harris told me on the phone as soon as it happened and we had to make some tough decisions. Since he was NOT breathing on his own my wife and I wanted so badly to save him but if he is in pain and not breathing on his own he thought it was time to end his suffering while he was still under anesthesia so he would not feel anything more. Dr. Harris explained to us the options for his body and my wife and I said our good byes to Franklin over the phone since no one though he would live long enough for us to make it to the clinic. I was literally on the phone with the receptionist after coming to terms with his passing and arranging the type of urn we wanted his ashes to be put into when I was put on hold. They came back in a few minutes and told me Franklin was STABLE!!! I rushed up to the clinic as fast as I could and Dr. Harris and her team let me back into the operating room to see him. Franklin was still under anesthesia and Dr. Harris said they wanted to try to flush his system with fluids to see if he would wake up once the anesthesia was out of his system. Dr. Harris said he would need overnight monitoring and that their clinic is not equipped for that. They gave us options on who to call but the only location who could help was Auburn Emergency and they wanted $4,000-$6,000 for the overnight monitoring. As much as we wanted to save Franklin we just flat out cannot afford that cost for a "maybe he lives" situation. Dr. Harris and her team worked with us and offered to keep Franklin at their clinic where a tech would stop in a few times during the night to check on him. We were very appreciative of their understanding and this accommodation offer. We elected to just take Franklin home that night since we could not afford the Auburn Emergency overnight and we felt that if Franklin was alone in a kennel he would be much happier (even if he passes away during the night) at home in his bed. Dr. Harris and her team were so unbelievably compassionate and helpful during this process. They worked so hard and did every single thing possible to save our sweet boys life. He made it thought the night without the need for fancy overnight monitoring and we hope he will live longer but even just the one extra night with Franklin that we thought we would never have was worth it.

At 100 lbs the cost would have been 100.00 cheaper. For any pet that is over 100 lbs another 100.00. This is robbery. I am tired of places charging outrageous prices. It's not like I walked in off the streets, I have been going there for a while. And paying the full amount every time. It's time for people to stand up and say no. There are many choices out there. I have had two occasions where I had to take two of my babies to Auburn and for the ones that have been there, you know the cost. I don't mine paying for my babies to be taken care of. He is a big boy and was quite a challenge for her and she still did an amazing job. Very friendly young lady as well as informative. She went the extra step to even print out literature related to types of combs and brushes to purchase as well as websites I 10/10 recommend Lisa for grooming of your fur babies. They talked everything over with me prior and assured me that if she got too stressed out, they wouldn't continue (big news for people used to the pump-and-dump groomers that don't care!) When I came to pick my kitty up, she was relaxed in her carrier- might as well be a kitty spa. Nails clipped, ears cleaned, full wash, dry, and lion cut in an hour and a half! Her cut is fantastic- no clipper lines or missed hairs. We will 100% be coming back for her next groom. Thank y'all!
