My credit card was being used at this bar without my consent. There is no working phone number to call and the employees are jerks and do not help. I reported the charges and opened a fraud case but they should have stopped letting my card be swipped the first time when I gave them the info. They still continued to let someone charge on my card. read more

I find it difficult to rate based on the staff alone with the turnover rate. I would say 75% of my experiences here have been positive in terms of interactions with staff. The other 25% of the time they overlook you at the bar and question your legitimate ID. ALL THAT ASIDE this is my favorite bar in Athens. They usually play awesome music, and have a killer "happy hour" aka Prime Time (half off everything). I wish their bathrooms were better but hey, its a college town. read more

If you want to have a good time this is the place to be. Friendly staff with drinks that will put your testicles in the dirt. An elevated dance floor to make yourself feel like Rocky. Drink prices are so cheap Joe Dirt could drink here 7 days a week. Don't even get me started on the 50 cent pool. All around favorite Athens bar. read more

I thought this bar was fine until tonight. I am turning 22 in 2 days and the bartenders denied me AT THE BAR (after ignoring me for about 5 minutes). I asked to speak to the manager and they reluctantly directed me to some guy at the end of the bar. I explained to him that his bartenders weren't serving me, probably because i'm from out of state. He looked at my legitimate driver's license and denied me too. I told one of the owners before I left, I didnt even want to give the bar my money anymore. I won't be going there again and everyone should go to Lucky's for liquor pitchers, they dont deny real ID's. read more

Primetime, Blackouts (their house mixed drink), constantly Sticky floors (probably due to spilled Blackouts), dancing on the stage & a swarm of North Face jackets. Pawpurr's usually has a line out of the front door on the weekend's. I would prefer to go during the week for a and to play pool with friends in the back. Even though it's not my favorite bar on Court St. it is an Athens staple. I did spend one amazing night there in 2008 when Obama was elected! read more

Alright let's get this party started!!! First off Pawpurr's Bar is an absolute legend of a bar. You can come here for dinner and show thanks to the amazing bartending and bouncing staff! My leading ladies at pawps keep the dice and the liquor flowing for the baddies including my woes Molly and Peyton who bring the fucking heat in more way than one. A huge shoutout to the bouncers Jimmy and Papa Fe who keep the joint safe, secure, and most importantly sexy. Whenever you come to Pawps you know you can't sit down have a bev and pawp the fuck off with your mates. The pool table's nice. The drinks are okay. It gets too crowded on weekends. It's just nothing special to me. I never made a good memory (or didn't form a good memory lol) at Pawpurr's. Nothing is wrong with the place, it's just average. read more

This is a college kid dive bar so I wouldn't dare set foot during peak times, especially with the ladies breaking the toilets all the time. The bartenders are nice and the drinks are cheap. There is also a pool table and plenty of tvs to watch the game. read more

This place is not worth the trip. There are many other bars surrounding that are much more worth of your money and time. The staff here is extremely rude to the customers, even on a slow night. The drinks are watered down and the floor on a weekend night is basically like a slip and slide of sludge. They don't take card and their ATM is always broken. Yeah I know, I'm writing a review for a little dump of a bar. It might smell bad in there sometimes, but go for primetime and you get half off all drinks. All liquor drinks are around $1.50 and pitchers of beer are $2. This is a great bar in Athens for college students because it is so cheap. They usually have decent music and it gets pretty busy later in the evening. They have a couple tables, so go early in order to get one. read more

God I love this place, but my liver hates it. This was my college hangout while spending my time at Ohio University. Great drink specials for Primetime and throughout the night. Great music. 70's 80's style. The beer was super cheap for happy hour. The bar seems a little "historic", but decent atmosphere. They had free chicken when we were there. Not too bad of a place. Google said it was a gay bar and this location is listed under multiple searches as such, however, nothing not even the patrons seemed gay. When in Athens just stick to grindr. read more

Its a lot the CI and Crystal. The only thing different is that it has a sweet dance floor where I get my groove on. The cool thing about the dance floor is that it is elevated and the ladies can see my moves which attracts them to the floor and then to me. The owner is a pretty nice guy too. Primetime always has great prices. read more
