I don't typically take the time to write reviews but felt as a "novice" regarding pawn shops, I would share what I learned! I used the old rule "obtain three estimates" when I decided to sell a piece of gold that I don't wear. Well, what an eye opener!!! Pawn King in Liverpool was my first stop - kind of what I expected for a pawn shop....nothing out of the ordinary, staff was okay.....they offered me $255 - firm. On to CNY Sales - greeted by the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke :( and a showroom that could use a little TLC. But, they offered me $320. Wasn't happy about how my clothes smelled when I left though! Pawn Pro was my last stop. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this pawn shop, all around! The showroom was bright, clean, had a number of different items for sale and the employees were knowledgeable and courteous! And the best part....offered me $355! SOLD!! Great store. You have to stop in frequently to see what is new. They have everything from tools to video games. They even have new reproduction controllers for old video game systems. This is also where I buy my silver and gold. Can't say how they are about buying stuff, because I have never sold them anything. But, last time I was there, my fiancee ended up winning a free Dvd. We Bought four more besides, they were only a dollar each. You can't rent a movie for that. The only thing I am not a fan of, is when the people from Syracuse cover a shift there. They are nice enough, but much more big city business. The Bearded guy, and the bald guy, that normally run the place are great though. read more

I've been coming in here once a week to see what's new. There's always new stuff!! You first check in to earn your points, then browse. The staff there know their stuff and each member has a specialty. Movies, jewelry, vinyl, games, systems, bikes, instruments, recording eq, tools... list goes on. This is also the cleanest store. Other shops of the same accord feel grungy and sketchy. But this is always kept up. Bright lights, stock always straight on the shelves. The atmosphere is unlike that of the other stores. I have watched the Oneida store evolve, I remember going there and spending a few minutes walking around, and checking out the inventory. Just got back from the store and can't believe the amount of stuff they have, an hour it took me to see it all. The amount of quality merchandise is amazing, the tool inventory is great, everything from snap on to off brands. There even starting to get some quality guitars in there. Pawn Pro is a great place to go when looking for great finds. I come here often looking for gifts for family members on holidays when im at a loss for what to buy. I find lots of things for myself as well including chargers for old game systems, my favorite gba game, camera accessories, music instruments and speakers, they got all sorts of awesome stuff not to mention their large movie collection and coin collections. Got denied putting my laptop on layaway because they told me it wasn't in good enough condition but then I send my friend who is a food looking girl in there with the exact same laptop and they do it for her no problem. These people and the owner don't deserve your business. They're sexist scum. They don't deserve to own a business if they're going to deny people based solely on what they look like. My wife and I go in there monthly to look around while in town for Dr's appointments . Wife likes jewelry , and I like tools and electronics . We almost always seem to find a deal on something . The people there are very nice and respectful. They have never tried to put a big sell on us , just being helpful. Place is clean and orderly .
