They did a beautiful job on my necklace, so I brought them my ring. I asked them to grind down the prongs of where the stone fell out, since my ring was old and a new stone would be difficult to place. The ring is sentimental to me, but to do a proper rebuilding of the prongs would have been more money than it was worth. When I came back to pick up my ring today, they surprised me with a replacement stone. They couldn't guarantee that it would stay on, but they did their best and I love that they went that extra mile for me. I may have almost started crying in the store, I was that touched. They are so nice and professional. I will definitely come back if I need more jewelry fixed. Thank you!!

I think Rebecca misread my intent. Hessney is not a ripoff, he sells to the highest bidder. If…read moreyou don't like it, don't buy it. As for the fees, the State Sales Tax goes to the State, not Hessney. The buyers premium is indeed a rip off (since Hessney likely charges the SELLER a fee as well), but it is clearly stated at the beginning of every single auction and on his web site. The saddest thing is that buyer's premium does not buy you any guarantees. I think if you are being told that an item is in a certain condition, then it turns out that it does not work the buyer's premium should allow you to bring the item back for a refund of the bid price. The buyer's premium should be an insurance policy, not an extra 10% fee for Hessney. I would waive insurance if I could waive the fee. But to waive any insurance and still pay a fee above an beyond your bid price is just thievery.

I made the mistake of asking about real diamonds over lab created and immediately got told they don't deal with lab created only highly quality real diamonds and they may only have one lab created and got pointed to a small little case with the point of a finger. I was only curious about if they tested as real diamonds and general thoughts about them. At this point I'm already a bit put off. I asked about a multi stone ring which she showed me a few but nothing seemed right so she took me to another case which had beautiful rings or so I thought. Found one I loved but got told oh no that's cubic zirconia it's a demo ring we have to design and order these....im looking to buy today I thought to myself. Got some more attitude about my questions and ideas after again finding a ring to be designed. I also wasn't happy with the prices and when I asked about financing it again I got attitude and told I'll have to ask. She came back with a 6 month financing for a ring over 8 grand. Left unhappy with the service and attitude and will never go back, which is unfortunate as my father got my mom's engagement ring there many years ago and was told that's the best place, or was....
