I bought a shotgun from them thru Gunbroke.com. The gun had been cut down by a previous owner. it was covered with a recoil pad in their ad. It may have been an honest mistake but when given the opportunity to do the right thing they just couldn't pull it off. I'm out $160 shipping because they either made a mistake or intentionally misrepresented the gun. Either way it was their fault. I have been a loyal shopper of this place for years, even buying my wife's wedding ring from them. They are the first pawn shop I go to when looking for something. Not anymore. On 05/31/19 I came into Pawn 1 on Chinden to browse their selection of FitBits. I found one that stood out to me and asked questions. Of course, I inquire about the return policy and was told "You can get your money back with receipt in 7 days after purchase." I didn't know much about the FitBits but figured "no harm, no foul" and was excited to learn and try it out. I bought it..total $53.00 Today, 06/04/2019 I decided to return my FitBit because I had found a brand new one on the Facebook marketplace that has a built in heart rate monitor. I felt like I had found a better deal with the new one. I walk into the store with the Fitbit, charger, and receipt and approached the guy who sold it to me, I explained that I had found a new one and that I was there to return it and get my money back, since I was within 7 days. With the supervisor standing within 10 feet, he says to me "We wouldn't be able to give you your money back for that but we can give you in store credit or you can exchange it" I then said, "that is not how you explained it to me, you said I could get a cash refund. You told me the only things that you can't return for money are guns and electronics, which this is categorized as sports equipment" The employee then said "Yeah, sorry about that" I was already getting mad and so I made my way to the counter where his "supervisor" was who had just heard our conversation and told her I would like my money back. She took my Fitbit and receipt and walked into the back and came back out 5 minutes later to say, "We can't give you in-store credit or a gift card because this item was bought "as-is" but we can buy it back for half of what you paid. I then pointed to the case that is sold "as-is" and said "this case is as-is" and this one (the one my Fitbit came from) is not correct?" She said yes. I asked her if they could do anything at this point to even offer what the guy said when I had first walked in, that I could get an exchange or gift card. She wasn't even willing to honor that. She stood there with a condescending smirk on her face and proceeded to do stretches with her arms while I was explaining why I wouldn't be coming back to the pawn store I was loyal to. In the end, she offered to write a "managers" name and number on the receipt I had brought in and said I could call or stop by and talk to a "Dave" but that she couldn't do anything. I AM FLOORED. To not give me a refund, which I was explained I could get, to not honoring what the associate said when I first walked in to return it said, to not caring and not hearing "Sorry about this" not even once to the downright APPALLING service I received...I have to give Pawn 1 what their name implies, one star. I am a pretty easy going guy and was willing to forgive the return policy I was told in favor of a gift card/exchange and to get denied that even. We went into the store on DEC 5 at 3:30. My wife and I were the only ones in the store. There were two sales people and they did not come to help us. This place will rip you off if you try to get your stuff out early. If you pay multiple times a month with in the first 30 of your loan you will be charge multiple interest fees even though you are paying with in the first 30 days their system rewrites the loan every time. You could pay twice in one day and will be charged two 30 day interest fees. It should be pay one interest fees for the fist 30 days and any money after that with in the first 30 should go to your principal and if you can't get it out before the first 30 days on the next 30 you should be charged and interest fee. Not multiple interest fees with in the first 30 days. read more

Ya I bought a GPS and it did not have a mounting bracket i said I think I have one at home ( cause I had the exact model but it broke) . So I asked the guy can I return this if I can't find mine? He said yes no problem. So I couldn't find the bracket and went in to return it and get a better one as well spend more money. But they would not return it they said "only if defective. It says it on receipt". Well that sucks cause I didn't have a receipt when I asked the guy . and who reads everything on your receipt. I guess I will . Anyways they were rude and I'll never go there again. SO MAKE SURE YOU READ YOUR RECEIPT. Which does no good anyways cause it means you already purchased it . So technically your screwed anyways. It's always been hit or miss. My most recent experience was a miss for me and for them. They had a PlayStation 3 in the case. I asked an employee about it. Told them I wanted to buy it. Then she walked off and decided to help someone else. I stood there for about 5 minutes. Never was sold the PlayStation or asked if I needed help by anyone else. Went in there to buy some fishing poles and the poles were not in good condition, some without reels, others were falling apart. The guy wasn't willing to work with me on the price, said that they were recently marked down (hard to believe because they were $20- $30 a piece) Can't believe how rude and stiff those guys were. Went there to buy a few movies. Had a pretty decent selection but the main problem is there was the movie "click" at least twice a ROW! If the people working there really knew what they were doing, by the time the 30th fucking copy of the movie came in they would be smart enough not to buy it. But what do they do? Buy about 50 more copies of that bull shit Adam sander movie. Great fuckin buys guys, cause everyone is really fuckin dying to see click. Then the music corner guy sounds like he's a fuckin toddler playing this guitar he just bought at way to high of a volume. He knows one lick and insists that he plays it over and over just to hear this $200 guitar through some shitty combo amp. Most of the things in this store are severely over priced.
