We used them for Christmas last year for a whole week. With only maybe 5 day notice for a holiday sitting! For the price you're paying, especially since we have two cats, it was perfect. Our cats are pretty needy, they love company and Pawlosphy was able to provide that when we were out of town. We constantly got updates and the whole process was quite simple. What a great service! We used them last summer when we went on vacation, and will be using Pawslosophy every time we need pet sitting! They come to your house beforehand to make sure they know all of your procedures, and so you get to know who will be taking care of your pets. We have 3 cats, and they have some funny habits (like they will only drink water in the bedroom, not the kitchen where their food is) and pawslospohy was totally awesome about everything. We loved getting e-mail updates with a picture every day! In the 20 min visit, she even managed to brush our cats and play with them in addition to taking care of the food, litter, etc. They will also bring in your mail, water plants, etc. Great company with great service! read more

Pawlosophy is awesome! They have taken care of my cat many times and they always do a great job. I get updates after each visit letting me know how the cat is doing and what they did with him. Once when I thought I left the back door unlocked I emailed them and they checked and got back to me within a few hours, which was very nice. I definitely have peace of mind when they're around. If I could give these guys (but typically gals) more stars, I would! We've now used Pawlosophy about ten times since our first review, and we couldn't be happier with their services. We have used them for housesitting, which has always been a great experience. They're incredibly careful to keep our house EXACTLY as it was before we left. Not sure how they pull that off, but it never seems like anything has been moved. We've also used them a few times for evening dog walks and dinner feedings. I love Pawlosophy!!! My baby is my 7-month old Maltese, Moose! Before I even brought him home I searched and searched for a dog walking service. After reading the reviews on Yelp I contacted Pawlosophy. We set-up an initial appointment. I met Kim before I even had Moose home. She took great notes and asked some good questions! We were set to go! A few days later I brought home a good hearted, playful 12 week old puppy. Kim was wonderful with him, especially the 1st day....I was a nervous wreck to leave him (to the point I came home at lunch to check on him) Kim had left a great note. Over the next few weeks Kim trained Holly and Melissa on caring for Moose. Holly and Kim were my go to girls...I knew Moose was in great hands! I was devasted when Holly left me a note that she had given her notice so she could persue her career fulltime (happy for her...but sad for Moose and me) Thankfully, Pawlosophy trained several people on caring for Moose so even with Holly's departure Moose still had people caring for him that he knew. Melissa has since become Moose's primary walker and she is so wonderful with him. Moose goes crazy when she comes into the house...dancing around, tail (well butt) wagging. This past week I decided to give Moose some additional freedom and allowed him to roam the dining and living rooms. Well, he was great all week until Friday! After Melissa left from the morning visit Moose decided to get into Mom's mop bucket. I have a camera installed (yes, I'm that kind of crazy pet parent) and I saw him shredding paper, that I assumed he took out of the wastebasket by the desk. When Melissa returned for the afternoon walk I heard..."uh oh Moose, what happened here? I don't think your mom would like you playing with this" She then sent me an e-mail letting me know that he knocked over my mop bucket and had chewed on a lot of things - nothing harmful. She also let me know that she was going to put him back into the playpen for the afternoon so he was safe. I really appreciated that she used her best judgement to do what was in Moose's best interest. Long stories...but hopefully they convey the fact the Pawlosophy will take care of your pets like they are their own. They have reasonable prices, follow your care instructions and arrive at the agreed upon timeframe. Thank you Alexis and team for taking such good care of Moose! I've now used Pawlosophy for 3 years and for the past 18 months, Eugenia has been caring for Moose...twice a day, Monday - Friday. Eugenia clearly loves Moose and Moose feels the same (except when Mom is around and then he won't leave the house with her, LOL). I wanted to post an update because in the past month I have had 2 neighbors and 2 other dog owners in the neighborhood stop to tell me how great Eugenia is with Moose. One neighbor said she even pulls a blanket out of her car and her and Moose sit on the grass and watch the world go by (it is Moose's favorite thing to do on a nice day) It's comforting to know that when i'm not there to care for him he's in great hands, happy, healthy and able to enjoy the day! read more

I have to agree with the other reviewer who was upset with how the change in the borders of service was handled. At no point was this communicated to me or did they offer to return our keys; I found out after I tried to book service (and waited for over a week for a response). It makes me wonder what exactly their borders are (you'll see they're not on their website), and if they change depending on the client (I was relieved to see this happened to someone else). And even once this was communicated to me (and I was told that one of the cats' favorite sitters could cover as an independent agent), there was no communication regarding the keys until I brought it up. A little more transparency would be useful- I should note that I never had any issues with the service (which makes this switch, right before the holidays, that much more upsetting). read more

i had never used a dog walker before and was in need of one over Christmas. I was a little nervous about finding a reliable one (my dog has a few 'quarks' and gets nervous around new people) and a friend of mine recommended the wonderful team at Pawlosophy. I spoke with Lela, one of the owners, and she was lovely. She broke down different options and quotes for me and arranged a meet and greet with Ryan. Wow. It was great. Copper took to him right away, we chatted for a little bit, exchanged keys and Copper was in Ryan's hands. I asked for 4 walks over the course of two days. My mind was put completely at ease when I received emails from Ryan after each visit. He gave a little run down of their walk time and tricks my dog showed him. Haha it was so comforting to know my pooch was taken great care of while I was away. I will ABSOLUTELY use these guys again. The service is so kind and generous and they realize how much your pet means to you. I will feel so good going out of town again knowing these guys will be watching my dog. Thank you!!! read more

We have been with Pawlosophy since 2015 and wouldn't dream of changing! Our walker is Jocelyn and she is nothing short of AWESOME with our 3 dogs. We started with Pawlosophy when my husband's work moved too far away for him to come home at lunch. We had two dogs at that time and they immediately fell in love with Jocelyn. During that first year, our beautiful Rottie, Addie, got cancer and passed away. I think Jocelyn was just as devastated as we were. About 8 months later we got a new puppy, Nellie, and our older dog, Dudley, was having some health issues. She was so lovely and gave us daily updates about how they were adjusting together. About 4 months ago we agreed to foster a very needy dog. Jocelyn just rolled with it, even though Tasha is very troubled and scared of new people, and won her over in short order. Alexis and Lela in the office are very responsive to our needs and are so flexible. I like how they reach out when a holiday is coming up to check if our needs will change. We hired them to sit for our two cats over Christmas. They came by to meet our cats and get keys--all fine. I left a long note on the fridge going over the same instructions we gave them. I left out exactly the amount of wet cat food that they should have fed them. We still had four cans unopened when we returned. Additionally, they put the used glass bowls the food was in on the counter (not in the sink or dishwasher) in a perfect place for a cat to knock it off and break it (thus leaving the possibly of the cats getting hurt). They never asked if we made it home, and when we went to pick up keys, we were told only on Tuesdays between 5 and 7 pm. No one once asked how their service was or if we were satisfied. But the cats were ok, so three stars? read more

Highly professional and attentive. They do a great job of looking after our cat and dog when were out town. A large company with lots of walkers and house sitters means they're always available. Our last sitter even took our super high energy dog for a run with his skateboard. They also get the walkers or house sitter to send daily emails with updates, which is comforting, overnight care rates aren't much more than boarding our dog but she gets to stay at home instead of being stuck in a cage. It's all in the name! A pet service committed to the philosophy of caring for those with four paws and meeting the unique needs of each client. We have two Boxers, one very young and social, the other a senior who is no longer overly fond of other dogs. When it came to a recent vacation, our primary concern was how to insure our dogs would be safe and well cared for while we were away. Our younger Boxer is easily boarded, familiar with the facility where he spends time at daycare with his other canine friends and human handlers. It was our senior Boxer we preferred not to board and in the process of seeking an alternative, we were fortunate enough to discover Pawlosopohy. I have to admit I was initially engaged by the name which lived up to everything this pet care service promises. Professional, friendly, and highly experienced, we were impressed from the first contact and the home meet and greet to the personalized itinerary we negotiated for our Boxer's home care while we were away. We wanted her to remain in a familiar environment and have the comfort of overnight companionship that included morning and evening outs as well as inclusive mid-day walks for exercise and recreation. We were also reassured that the philosophy of their care puts safety first, which is critical when leaving one of your precious possessions in someone else's hands. We felt very comfortable leaving her and knew she would enjoy sharing her affections with new humans who obviously love caring for those with paws!. While all of this puts this pet care provider "paws above the rest" for any future needs, they proved they stand by their philosophy when we suddenly had to rely on renegotiating our original itinerary. When our travel plans changed both right before our scheduled departure and while we were away, Pawlosophy graciously accommodated our needs and put our Boxer's care first, doing everything they could to make sure we had nothing to worry about. In addition to the outstanding care, we enjoyed reading daily detailed messages about her outings, her well-being, and even her antics. It was a "pawsitive" experience on every level and we are thrilled to know we have pet care we can always rely on. read more

Alexis came into my life last year when I lost one of my cats and I needed a very caring sitter for my remaining (and somewhat difficult / reclusive) senior kitty. I was thrilled to find someone to whom it was as important as it was to me that she establish a genuine rapport with my cat. She understood that Polly was grieving and was there for both of us, with several suggestions on how to get over the loss. She succeeded in establishing a relationship with a pretty reticent kitty, and has remained my one and only cat sitter since that time. She takes excellent care of Polly and reports to me as much as I want while I'm away. Polly benefits from her care and is not freaked out like she used to be when I returned from a trip. Alexis is always responsive, caring and very knowledgeable. She's a true animal person. I have not had anyone else from Pawlosophy watch Polly, but know that Alexis would only associate with people who feel and act as she does with respect to animal companion care. I so appreciate having found her. Oh, someone else mentioned that their place looks better when they get home than when they left, and I can say the same -- such pleasure to come home to a happy kitty and a home (and litterbox) that has truly been kept up. read more

My husband and I did not have a good experience with Pawlosophy and it has to do mostly with customer service. Initially we were very happy because it seemed like they would be very thorough considering their amazing website and the initial visit before we left town. We chose Pawlosophy due to the advertising on the website that said we could get daily updates about our pet, and also confirmed this verbally during our initial visit. While we were out of town (10 days) we only received updates on the first 2 days, all of the other days we had to contact the sitter after the visitation hours to remind her to send an update and requested to have pictures sent each day. We CCed the company on all requests and finally at day 7 my husband wrote to the sitter that we were very sorry but would have to call management to get a different sitter due to her not checking in or sending photos as requested on time. The reason I am giving 2 stars is because every time we reached out to Pawlosophy I felt like they just made excuses for the sitter instead of apologizing and giving us peace of mind. They said it wasn't their policy to send daily pictures unless requested (which we had) and they said they were receiving emails but we weren't and it was due to poor internet connection in our home, we asked why the sitter could not resend the original emails she tried to send once out of the home if it had to do with poor internet connection and again they made excuses that she was probably too busy to do that. In the end they got us a new sitter named Kimi who was awesome (she was also there during our meet and greet and was very helpful, friendly, and professional). She sent us daily updates with pictures as requested. If you are going to go with Pawlosophy I recommend Kimi. I really hate to give a low review, but was very disappointed by the poor customer service involved with our care. read more
