We had such a wonderful experience with Priscilla at Pawhamas Resort in Glendale. This was our first time ever boarding Apollo outside of family or friends, so I was extremely anxious about leaving him. I actually cried at drop-off , but Priscilla did such a great job reassuring me and making me feel comfortable from the beginning. One of the biggest things that gave me peace of mind was knowing that she stays on-site with the dogs. Pawhamas has a very professional, well-run feel, while still feeling personal and loving. Priscilla really got to know Apollo and treated him like more than just another boarding dog. Her communication was amazing. She consistently sent us photos, videos, and updates throughout his stay, which meant so much to me. I never felt like I had to wonder how he was doing. By the end, Apollo was so comfortable with her that he was following her around everywhere. We paid for two walks a day, and there were even times she went above and beyond with him simply because he was doing so well and enjoyed being out. I definitely don't say that as something people should expect, but it really showed me how attentive and caring she is with each individual dog. Apollo was eating well, getting plenty of exercise and attention, making friends, and clearly felt safe and comfortable. I had such a wonderful experience boarding my dog here I can't recommend them enough! I went on a six day trip and my previous dog boarding place was booked. I found Pawhamas Resort last minute and was blown away by all the positive reviews and decided to give it a shot. I have a 14 year old pit mix who is dog reactive and needs private boarding. He also requires a bit of extra care with his different supplements and medical diet. I'm always worried leaving him places as a reactive dog, and worried that his specific diet and needs won't be followed. I was absolutely blown away by the level of care, attention, and genuine love Priscilla and her whole team showed my dog Koda during his stay. She immediately assured us we didn't need to worry about his reactivity and they were completely comfortable handling him, and they were so on top of his food and supplements as well. He got four walks a day and got to hangout in the office most of the time with Priscilla, she even slept in the same room with him to make sure he was comfortable during his stay. With reactive dogs they have a Buddy system where another worker is assigned to them and plays with them throughout their stay, and I felt like he got plenty of attention and walks while he was there. My favorite part of the entire process is the amount of photos and videos I received during his stay. We were constantly getting updated on how he was doing, and it was very obvious he was so happy and comfortable there even during his first night. Updating us on how he's eating, on his walks, and how he slept last night. As a nervous dog owner with a senior reactive dog who requires a bit more attention, I truly can't express how positive and stress free this experience was. We had such peace of mind every day knowing exactly how he's doing and that he's comfortable, eating, and having fun! You can tell Priscilla and her team truly loves animals, and goes the extra mile to make sure they understand your dog and their needs. You can just tell when your dog is comfortable somewhere, and I was so happy to see how quickly he relaxed while he was in their care. Not to mention the price point of boarding was so extremely reasonable with all the added photos, four walks a day, and he had a private suite with a tv in the room where they play movies for your dog while they relax. Pawhamas is the real deal. My dogs just did a 17-day boarding stay and I was nervous, especially since Maddie had recently had knee surgery and was still on medication and doing aqua therapy. She came back better than ever, I am not exaggerating. The care, the attention to detail, the medication compliance, all of it was flawless.
