New Owners: Don, Holly, and Rob Skipniewski. Their management, Jackie and Laurie, as well as Ashley are superb, caring, dog-centered people. I have left our Pedigree Portuguese Water Dog here on three occasions. I had been wary of boarding after a prior bad experience. Here, I could not have been more pleased. I trust these folks completely. The Facilities are very clean and the staff are highly experienced(over 50 years collectively in the business) and responsible. The owners and staff are KIND to the animals, and pay attention to every detail. They even remind me when my pets vaccines are due! They administer medication perfectly. Laurie will let me know how my dogs' mood is and reassure me she is observing for anxiety-like behaviors. They allowed me to call and check on my pet during a long stay, anytime. I found out after that happened to another friend of ours, where their dog was attacked but survived. And just today I found out that it happened again to someone else's dog. The reviews for Paws Play and Stay are for a different facility than PAWS Canine Activity Center. I'm not sure what I could say about PAWS that my dog Bailey hasn't already said about Fetch 'n Catch (you can read her review under the Yelp listing for Fetch 'n Catch). This place is run by a fun, energetic, dedicated staff of dog-lovers. Their hours are super convenient and the service they provide is unmatched. Before I found Fetch 'n Catch / PAWS, I was paying a local dog walking company over $30 for a thirty-minute walk. For not much more, Bailey gets an entire day of exercise and learning. We reinforce her door manners and commands at home, and she's a much happier dog because of it. It's also really convenient to be able to get Bailey's baths, nail trimmings, and tooth brushings done on her school days. We do our booking online, but you can also call, text, or stop in. I recommend PAWS / Fetch 'n Catch to every dog owner I meet. They are worth their weight in gold!

Found this location online, needed a one day a week daycare for our 4 month old Beagle puppy, and wanted it for his socialization as well. Took him for a meet and greet and he did great (as we expected!), we set up a half day introductory daycare appt and two full days after that, as that is what they require. After the first half day, I was informed at pick up that he wasn't a good fit because he barked during crate time and it was an anxious "attention getting" bark. They offered to try a 2nd half day to try a quieter crating area. Within 1 hour of drop off I was called to pick him up since NOW he was barking during play. I was told to call upon arrival because the door would be locked since they had him secluded in the empty grooming salon, alone. Unbelievable. When someone came to open the door they were carrying our puppy as if to shove him in my arms the moment I entered. I was told he was too anxious for daycare, but was a good dog and not aggressive. I was told he "missed his mommy" when I left and that I should try taking him to public places for socialization, as well as separating from him more often. I was VERY confused since he has been left at a dogsitters home for 2 full weekends in the 2 months we have had him and he did just fine both times for 3 days each time... and they welcome him back. This puppy goes EVERYWHERE... from the park to Home Depot to Target and allll the area pet stores... he's on a first name basis with much of the staff at Cabela's! I would never want my dog to be under any kind of stress, but I would think it is pretty common for ANY puppy to show some kind of anxiety during their first few days of daycare. I am terribly disappointed that nothing was done to try and get our dog acclimated to daycare, and the best option was to resort to putting him in a crate in an empty room alone. Very disappointed that they seemed to quickly dismiss our dog.

Paint fumes can be dangerous for bunnies and birds and it's still too cold to open windows. So far so great! They have a cheerful, comfortable, private room for boarding exotics (hooray--no stressed-out parrots near baking dogs)! The room even has a large TV and the staff asked what my pets like to watch. I asked for classical music only because that's what my birdie daughter India likes. I grew up in the house in question and there have been pets in it ever since 1972. Sending them someplace else and having the house so eerily quiet was difficult. But the staff at ACE seemed delighted to have my little family as their guests. They complimented me on my kids' cuteness and beauty which appealed very much to a mother's pride. I liked and appreciated their flexibility. I'm still at home, not traveling abroad or anything, so I said I wanted to be the one to come in to clean and feed. I asked if that could that keep fees down and I was told that was fine. The fee quoted for just housing them seemed fair and reasonable. I told the staff that there would be not much "work" involved in keeping my pets, but I asked that they come in and talk to and fuss over them as time allows over the course of the day. They said they would. Finally, I was impressed that they tucked a towel in the gap underneath the door so no drafts would come in as the main door is opened and closed many times over the course of the day. Cold drafts are also very bad for bunnies and birds. They thought of this without being asked!

He had a stick that he pulled out when the dogs got too rambunctious and ALL OF THEM WOULD REACT TO IT, COWERING IN FEAR. He said they /just know/ that when he's holding the stick that he's powerful but that's absolute crap, that is not normal behavior for a dog, who would generally LIKE sticks and stick-like objects. I hope for the dogs' sake that he's changed but for the dogs' sake he deserves this review. I've been bitching about this place to everyone for years but finally thought to share online when hearing about someone coming here made me sick.

I love Smooches, everyone is always so friendly and nice and Ollie loves going. I have my Ollie groomed every 2 weeks and her fur is like silk. Not only does it shine but it is super soft. The last time I took Ollie to the veterinarian for her yearly check up the doctor told me that her skin and coat looked amazing. I told her that Smooches had been grooming her for the last year and she said " don't change a thing she looks Great". Great prices and great areas for the dogs to run around and make new friends. I was able to keep my two dogs in the same kennel as they always sleep together.
