Very happy with the care our dog, Dylan, receives here. I enjoy seeing the videos of the dogs playing throughout the day. How David keeps track of all their names is beyond me but, for each video, he calls them all out by name. BB is very flexible on drop off/pick up times, prices are reasonable and there are periodic promotions and loyalty cards that provide good discounts. The staff is very friendly and regularly gives me updates on how Dylan is doing, as he's still relatively new there. I also LOVE the grooming service. Dylan has never looked or smelled better than when he's just come from being groomed here. Here's a photo of the drive home from day care last week. Our 1 year old fur baby tuckered out AT LAST!

Do NOT take your pet to this place!!!!... I wish I could rate zero!! This horrific story is so tragic, this should've never happened and could've 100% been prevented. My absolute worst nightmare about taking my dogs to a "day care" exc. This poor baby was attacked and killed. Who knows how long or even how many other dogs were involved. Point is the poor baby suffered by himself before bleeding to death with no one watching... Terrible, on top of all that this was just a 6 month old puppy.

UPDATE: David, the owner, did reach out and refund the money back to us for the cost of boarding Finn, which was appreciated. I wish him well & hope this was an isolated incident. Let me first start with saying that Buffalo Barks came recommended and I was eager to give them a go. I appreciated Dave's initial tour and his seemingly deep passion for the dogs in his care. Our dog was adopted only weeks before we started looking into doggy daycare and we have an older dog that never needed it so this was a new situation for us. We dropped him off twice for daycare and he was returned to us exhausted and happy. We felt confident leaving him with them for multiple days as we had a trip planned that we couldn't change. We dropped Finn Sunday morning and picked him up Tuesday evening. When I picked him up no one said anything about behavior or wounds until I was at the outside gate and then Cheryl showed me that he had two bite marks on both ears. They looked crusty and gross but dogs are rough so I accepted it and moved on. We got Home and after an hour noticed Finn licking his inner legs and come to find out, he had two decent size "sores" on the inside of each leg. I was pretty upset and the next day reached out to Dave. He spoke with the staff and informed us that it was probably due to an extreme "humping" situation. I wasn't thrilled but again, let it go. The next day, I found another "sore" on him and began to get more frustrated. Within a few days Finn was noticeably coughing, had green snot out his nose and was not his normal playful self. I took him right away to the vet and the vet informed me that while he was vaccinated for kennel cough, it doesn't protect against all strains. So, ok, we got antibiotics and moved on. He could catch that anywhere and while he didn't go to the dog park that week, we could only assume he contracted it from Buffalo Barks. Now, for Cheryl to be telling us that "there is no way he could have gotten it at daycare" was grossly dismissive. How on earth can you be sure of that? Dogs catch it anywhere! We weren't upset about that. What upset us was that she was so hell bent on defending the business that she forgot to remember the business she's in. OF COURSE ITS POSSIBLE a dog got kennel cough while surrounded by 30 other dogs in close proximity and my vet confirmed that. It deeply concerns me that she's so very uneducated and it puts others at risk. My other issue is that while his wounds are healing, the vet was baffled by them and stated they seemed more like burns and was baffled by the notion of a "hump fest" causing that and really didn't see it as a rational possibility. So, what did exactly happen to my dog to cause not one, not two, but FIVE sores within 3 days - 3 of which were not disclosed to us but rather we had to question them about..? Now, we called today after the vet visit and wanted to discuss things and see what can be done as we did want the best and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt considering the reviews (although if you go back a ways you'll see there is so concern about Cheryl putting a dog she adopted down without returning it to the adoption agency) but instead we were met with hostility and defense. My thoughts are basically that this place can be great if you're not a concerned parent and are fine with your dog free roaming with 30 other dogs and less than adequate staff. One or two guys for that many dogs seems like a situation for concern but hey, that's on y'all. Many of the other daycares I've researched offer structure, "naps" and WELL TRAINED staff. Many also have a cap on how many dogs to staff ratio is acceptable. I'm not saying I know all but I can tell you that for a fact, Cheryl is less than educated with how to run things. I hope Dave realizes that and put his business first which is a business caring for people's fur-family members. I hope no one else has to endure what we have and while we gave them a chance based on recommendations- I'm shocked at how we have been treated when expressing genuine concern for our dog while he was in their care. If nothing else, I can only hope that this information provides others with an educated and concerned review to consider before entrusting your dog with them. At a glance, Buffalo Barks seems great but when faced with adversity and concern, Cheryl quickly shows her lack of competence and empathy. I hope this prompts some necessary changes that could keep Dave's business afloat as I'm sure it's a matter of time before things happen to other dogs and people begin to see the cracks in the foundation.

We had such a great experience! We knew our girl would be fine but not all daycares allow you to do day of drop off and we were so glad they did. We are on a road trip from California and sometimes the pup can't come! So it was nice to have a great loving place for her to hang out while we explored Niagara Falls. They posted photos and videos on their Facebook so we were able to see she was having fun! Also SO reasonable in price ($26)! Thanks so much!!!

If they have fifty dogs there like I was told they did, it would take more than five hours to walk all those dogs. I watched on the cameras as one of the staff put what looked like a lasso around my puppies neck as he hid in the corner apparently afraid of her, and she dragged him across the suite to the door where along with my other puppy not so scared, went for a supposed walk which lasted literally TWO/THREE minutes! Yes MINUTES!! I was shocked, I called three times to just get the voice mail after I witnessed this. Then I left a message for return call extremely upset. I did speak to the employee that apologized for her actions, and gave an excuse that was a lie, because I know my puppies. How do dogs pee and poop if it takes longer than three minutes to walk to the back of the building to the outside? Then they want to charge you EXTRA, for accidents in their suite. Well no wonder they're having bowel movements and peeing all over, they're NOT getting enough time , if ANY at all to do their duty. I then spoke with the owner who had the nerve to tell me that maybe I got the time wrong that maybe it was actually longer, and totally disregarded the lasso, and dragging my puppy when I said " YOUR employee admitted it to me and identified herself, and also tried to justify why she did that. Another employee also witnessed it , and said it was NOT okay, that you do not pull a puppy/dog if they refuse. You attempt to show them it's okay, and help them feel comfortable with you it was also very nice outside, and that she offered to take all four of my puppies outside, but was told only two could go with her. Emily (the owner) said she would speak to Hannah (the staff member that told me her name and apologized for her actions) then get back to me. Well, that didn't happen! NOT surprised! I then asked Emily to review her cameras, I gave her the time frame when when it happened within minutes on the hour, when Emily said " iIt's LIVE footage, I can't review the past! " WHAT?" I thought? What if she had to go to court and show proof on the cameras that we pay extra for, she can't produce evidence... ?? BULLSHIT!! Emily also likes to try and charge for the accidents the puppies/dogs have in their suite/pen, which is a result of them not getting walked long enough, or AT ALL.. and make it like it's the dog that's the problem, not her POORLY run business. The communication is also extremely poor. You tell one employee something, and the next minute another employee is doing the complete opposite. I never said to separate my dogs during feedings yet they take my smallest girl dog and put her away( I don't know where) from my other dogs to feed her. Now my smallest dog is NOT afraid of my three other small dogs, if anything they're afraid of her! She's a tough little 5lb Yorkie! I questioned why she was gone for over an hour when they said she was eating separately from the others. I asked why? I was told it was as per my request. NOT!! I never told them that. They still after I said " no longer" separated her and fed her elsewhere. Also they took a water bowl out of the suite at approx 5:40 pm and never gave my four small dogs water until 8:05pm. That was after they ate dry food for dinner and supposedly went for a 15 minute walk that I can't prove. Now everyone knows that dogs go right for their water dish after a walk and also while eating dry food, yet NO WATER! I made three phone calls, and just got the voice mail. Then I called my daughter and told her I was calling the police, that my dogs don't have ANY water, and it's been two and a half hours. I also called the Angola number unaware it was another boarding place that Emily ran. Emily called me from that place earlier in the morning when I had concerns that needed addressing ASAP thinking it was her cell, that I could hopefully get ahold of her to get her staff to give my puppies some WATER! I then noticed on the camera that a lady was bringing in water, at 8:05 pm! They were all trying to get their little heads in that bowl as if they hadn't had water all day. We had to ask for a second bowl as there are four small dogs in there. Too many things went wrong without ANY accountability! The owner "EMILY " had excuses for EVERYTHING! I now understand why! why this place has OY 2 1/2 stars...

Instead, I was told that I would need to pay for an upcharge in order to receive it. After haggling with the service representative for over an hour, they refused to provide a complimentary upgrade, or a discount due to the lack of a camera. When I cancelled, they refused to return my deposit, even though it was their fault that the reservation was not honored. They have no problem breaking the terms of a reservation, but somehow believe that their terms of service still apply when they break a contract. After several days of back & forth with the representative, and then the owner, I initiated a chargeback with my CC. In spite of their own fault in the entire episode, the owner had the audacity to contest the dispute. After being a loyal customer for several years, they're willing to just throw that away for $50. Absolutely shameful.

Long-time client. Lost my cat today. Read this before you need them in a crisis…read more We've trusted Brighton-Eggert with a dog and three cats for years. The doctors are genuinely excellent -- no complaints there. But when my cat was actively dying and I desperately needed an appointment, they had nothing and sent me to urgent care or emergency care. The urgent care vet was limited in what he could do without my cat's full medical history and test results. Only Brighton-Eggert had it. Comprehensive blood work for the last few years, every 4-6 months. And also the result of the echocardiogram. When your fur baby is dying, you need compassion -- and that's exactly what was missing. A truly compassionate practice shows up for you in the worst moments. This wasn't that. The problems don't stop there. They've also stopped sending prescriptions to third-party pharmacies, a move that forces you to use their in-house pharmacy. They're not in the business of putting your pet first; they're in the business of protecting their revenue streams. Other reviews tell the same story: great vets, but a lack of compassion when you truly need them. If your pet is healthy, they're fine. But if you're facing a crisis, you may find that the compassion and continuity of care you're paying premium prices for simply isn't there. Premium pricing should come with premium support, at least compassionate support, when it matters most. It didn't for us. The doctors are genuinely excellent. But management has lost its way. Read the owner's responses to negative reviews and judge for yourself. We gave them our loyalty and our money without hesitation. What we needed in return was compassion. We didn't get it.
