The ability to feel her feet and hands by tracing my fingers along each anatomical groove brings a smile to my face. Cutie would often times take her front paw and wrap it around my finger and now I can replicate that feeling over and over thanks to you Ariel. Ariel inked my Cutie's paws, nose and whiskers too! When I saw the prints it brought me back to when I use to touch her nose and she would look at me and I could just feel her smiling at me with her eyes. Ariel made me a special ink design with Cutie's tail curved forming a half heart with her back paw in the middle. I don't have tattoos but if I were to ever get one this would be perfect! Ariel created so many personal touches for Cutie's send off to heaven that she had me crying tears of joy. When we entered the room, Sir Perceval was resting peacefully on a soft bed, covered with a plush blanket, he looked like he was sleeping soundly, covered in a cozy blanket with flowers carefully arranged around him. The room was softly lit, peaceful music played in the background, and there were comfortable sofas where we could sit with him as long as we needed. We cried, hugged him, and said goodbye in a space that felt safe, loving, and deeply respectful. I had to write a 5-star review to memorialize our experience, and to have ready to recommend my friends when the time does come. I have relatives who have been quoted exploitative prices in the thousands for pet cremation from other places, so their choices were very narrow and traumatizing. Fortunately, here it was really affordable for a private cremation for a small dog and we had a selection of beautiful keepsakes to choose from. Our beloved dog Big Bear, an 8-lb Pomeranian just shy of his 16th birthday, passed away at the emergency vet on Monday. I picked up his ashes on Saturday and buried him on Sunday. The emergency vet had a partnership with West Coast Pet Memorial Services. I received an email to call about cremation services and keepsakes. The staff were very kind, offering their condolences. The private cremation service was affordable, less than $200 for a small dog, and came with a few complimentary urns. We opted to pay for a biodegradable urn with pressed flowers so we could bury his remains in the garden. For the keepsakes, we purchased clay paw prints, ink paw prints, ink nose prints, and fur clippings. We wondered if we were doing too much, but we have no regrets! The keepsakes were great quality, and so, so good. The prints were all so well done. My brother got the fur clippings, which I decided not to get because I had clipped some fur myself, and I wished I got my own because the sight of his fur and the volume in the baggie brought me such comfort. When I went to pick up his remains, the place was quiet and clean. The staff were really kind. Another person came in saying they were bringing in their pet. No matter how your goodbye looks, I trust this place to handle with care and tenderness. My family and I are truly grateful.

Unlike our previous experience where we were able to book ahead of time and plan for our pup's passing, this was a circumstance where our baby needed immediate services -- his body was failing. Once I saw our senior 13-yr old pup was telling me it was okay, I called Dr. Gonzalez at 7pm. She was at our home by 10pm. Our pup had been sick for several years, and in that last week, our primary vet had already told us his health was declining, so we at least knew the end was near. And I had already mentally prepared to be strong and let him go when he needed to -- so I had Dr. Gonzalez's number on hand. We live in an apartment building, so we reserved a spot for her in our lot as close as possible to an exit. She came upstairs to our home, and she had brought all her equipment. I had already imagined how I wanted this experience to go for my once in a lifetime soul pup. I sat on his favorite place on the sofa, and I had him in my lap. Dr. Gonzalez gave me a pee pad to wrap around him within the blanket understanding there could be an accident in the process as his body released his spirit. I had a candle lit. I had soft music playing. We had low lighting on to honor what was about to happen. Dr. Gonzalez was also super accommodating to our 2nd puppy who was curious about her and wondering what was happening to his big brother. She didn't shoo him away -- she invited us to keep the puppy around so he can know his big brother was about to pass on. She gave us time to speak to Nuxx, love on him, and then let him go. Then, it finally happened. And Dr. Gonzalez stepped out of our apartment for awhile, giving our little family time to grieve, sob, and hold our baby close. Our puppy sniffed him too and said his goodbyes. Then she came back, and she asked us if we wanted to be the ones to carry him out or she was happy to do so. My husband carried him, myself and our puppy followed along -- felt like a procession down our apartment hallway. We got to Dr. Gonzalez's car, and we gently placed our baby's body in her car, and said our goodbyes again. Then...it was done. Throughout the experience, Dr. Gonzalez was so incredibly supportive, gentle, understanding, and patient. What else can you ask for when such a heartbreaking thing is occurring? When a spirit is literally fading in your arms? I am still not over losing him, but at least I know we gave him the most peaceful send-off we could: in his own home, in our arms, surrounded by so much love. If / when we need to go through again, I will continue to call on Dr. Gonzalez. RIP Nuxx.
