The staff were absolutely exemplary in caring for my baby Cooper. From pick-up to delivery, they handled my little fur baby with such kindness and gentleness. I'm so appreciative of the care and attention they gave him--truly wonderful service! - Chase

Their Google ad and website both say that pick up and urn is included with the price but it is NOT. I was charged $445 for pick up and cremation. Since the urn was stated to be included, I did not ask and confirm that is so. My best girl was picked up on a Saturday morning and by Wednesday I get a call from Valerie asking me if I'm gonna keep her ashes or scatter them? I told her I was keeping them. She then told me it's $30 for the urn. I told her that her ad said the urn was included and Valerie told me that's not the case. I also checked their website after this conversation, and written on their site, clear as day, "Every package we offer includes a free urn...". This company promised me a "private cremation" I sure hope that is the case. If they can deceive and lie about small things like "urn included" what else do they deceive and lie about? I felt extremely uneasy after I read their reviews, so many of them are BAD. I usually read reviews before committing to a product or service but with my dog suddenly dying and me having not slept a wink the night that happened, I wasn't in my clear mind. Do yourself a favor, call around and go with a different company. I wish I had. The $30 urn is a generic looking wooden box. No name engraved or anything that was personalized. I called Valerie a couple days after my dog was picked on (Monday morning) and asked for a paw print keep sake. My clay paw print was $50. I really wished I had gone somewhere else. My sister had her dog cremation last year and he is in the most beautiful urn with his name and paw print on the urn. I feel like I could have done so much better for my beloved girl's memory had I gone with a different company. My dog was big and this box seems so small. I am left wondering if all of my girls ashes have been retained or if they filled the small box and discarded what wouldn't fit? So many unknowns with this company. I am devastated that I trusted them with my Xena's final arrangements. Go elsewhere! UPDATE: I wrote the above review on Friday February 7th 2025 Today is Saturday Feb 8th 2025. I didn't realize I was logged into my Yelp Business account when I left this honest review. Moments after this review posted, Karina Campaign left my carriage business a 1-star review as retaliation for my honest experience dealing with Coral Cremations. This business is not only "iffy" they are petty and shady. Karina, if you really had a carriage ride with my company, where are your photos? and/or any receipts? You don't have those items because you've never used my carriage service. You and your Coral Cremations are down low and dirty.

Urn included with service at no additional cost.

I'm sad to review a pet cremation service for obvious reasons but I have to say my husband and I are pleased with Coral Cremations' service. It was our first time using this kind of service, it was so much more personal than taking our puppy's body to the vet and having them handle it. Coral Cremations had a nice gentleman pick up our fur baby just a couple hours after she passed. We had her ashes personally delivered just a week after she was picked up. Her ashes were in a nice wooden box that was included with the service. Also, their service was affordable and the turnaround was a lot faster than another cremation place my husband had called before we decided on Coral Cremations.

We had the pleasure of Dr. Susan Chao come out to our home on Friday, March 20. We had a 9 am appointment (the first one of the day) and she arrived a little before. She had called me about 15 minutes prior to let me know that she would be arriving within 15 minutes. When she arrived, my husband and I greeted her and had her walk to our backyard, as this was the place I had wanted for our little girl because she loved being in the backyard to sunbathe. Dr. Chao was wonderful at guiding us through the process, explaining every step of the way and allowing us to take our time to say goodbye to Muffin. She also allowed us to give Muffin treats during the process (Muffin's last meal was a chicken nugget from Burger King and pureed chicken that Dr. Chao brought, which Muffin really did enjoy eating). Dr. Chao also did cut a piece of Muffin's fur for us to keep and placed it in a small plastic box, which she put in a small mesh bag and gave it to us as a keepsake. Muffin passed away on March 20, 9:31 am. Dr. Chao gave us some time to spend with Muffin right after and just walked towards the side of the house so that we could have privacy. Afterwards, she placed Muffin in a basket and then we walked with her towards the front of the home so that she could take Muffin with her to eventually be cremated. About two weeks later, I contacted Hearts and Halos to ask if Muffin's ashes were ready for us to pick up (please note that the company can also mail your pet's ashes to you, but we just preferred to pick it up in person). I had a hard time getting ahold of them via telephone, so I emailed the company and was able to arrange for a pickup time. I was told via email that someone was supposed to contact us that day that I had emailed them about Muffin's ashes though... This past Thursday, my husband and I went to Gardena to pick up Muffin's ashes (please note that Hearts and Halos office is now in transition to moving to Hungtinton Beach). When we arrived, an employee came out and gave us a small gift bag, that held her ashes, seeds to plant in her memory and also a small brochure regarding aftercare and additional resources for the grieving process. I do like the box that her ashes came in and also I love the small wooden heart with her name engraved on it and a small halo right above her name. The total cost for these services is $840 (you can pay via check, cash or credit card). You can also have additional items, such as an urn (which cost $60) or your pet's paw print, that will cost extra. If you do not wish to have your pet's ashes back, the cost would go down to $675, in which your pet will be part of a communal process to preserve their ashes and then will be scattered in the company's memory garden. Just as a price comparison, when we had to put down our other 2 dogs at the vet (both of our other dogs were of an emergent case and so we would not have been able to plan for their euthanasian earlier and so we would not have been able to utilize these home euthanasia services even if we had known about them at the time), at minimum, it would have cost $455 if we had made an appointment and had this service done during the day. However, both times we had to rush our dogs to the vet were during after hours and without an appointment, so the cost was around $560, which also did include their ashes. So, these home pet euthanasia services can cost an additional $100- $300 more but we felt it was worth the cost. We did not have to rush and deal with the stress and anxiety of the car ride from our home to the vet and also sit in the waiting room while they prep our dog and then say goodbye to them in the vet's office (where both of our dogs really hated going to the vet). The ability to allow Muffin to be in the comfort of her own home and to have foods that she enjoyed during the process was worth it for us. I highly recommend home pet euthanasia at home if you can afford it. I like to think that this was the much better choice for Muffin and hope that she was happy with her chicken treats right before she left us, keeping her in good spirits than to be stressed and anxious if we had chosen to bring her to the veterinarian instead. Thank you Hearts and Halos for helping us during this process.

Ariel engraved all four of her paw prints in a heart shaped terracotta stone along with her tail which gave it that extra special unique touch. The ability to feel her feet and hands by tracing my fingers along each anatomical groove brings a smile to my face. Cutie would often times take her front paw and wrap it around my finger and now I can replicate that feeling over and over thanks to you Ariel. Ariel inked my Cutie's paws, nose and whiskers too! When I saw the prints it brought me back to when I use to touch her nose and she would look at me and I could just feel her smiling at me with her eyes. I always say to people I give her card to: "you will discover she is an Earth Angel - if she moved to a different town, I'd take my pup there... When you find a great vet, they are Gold! She's not only compassionate, present and knowledgeable, but also she does not oversell." Besides all the regular check ups, Dr G. has performed 2 substantial surgeries on my pup in the last 8 years, and has been extremely kind, providing valuable reassuring step-by-step updates throughout, especially aware that I had lost my beloved first dog, (with a different vet), when he did not make it through the anesthesia... In the 8 years Dr G. has been our one and only vet; everyone I have sent to Dr G. has fallen in love with her, and has thanked me for the referral. I trusted Dr G and her small compassionate team with the euthanasia of my precious second dog, Handsome. She is truly an Angel on Earth. At her Chatsworth location, I love that she's created a lovingly cozy "home environment" for the euthanasia experience. That it so needed during that deeply emotional time, and more veterinary offices ought to follow her example. I found her many years ago when I was dissatisfied with a busy veterinary front desk in Sherman Oaks, after they had made errors in my first dog's chart. Unfortunately he passed, and I learned that finding the RIGHT professional truly makes ALL the difference. So yes, I drive from Sherman Oaks. When Sir Perceval passed away, I immediately remembered them and reached out again. From the first phone call to bringing him home, every single step was handled with kindness, professionalism, warmth, and genuine compassion. Our aftercare specialist, Laura, at the Sun Valley location, stayed with us through the entire process and treated both us and our beloved pup with such dignity and care. The visitation experience was absolutely transformative for our grieving hearts. When we entered the room, Sir Perceval was resting peacefully on a soft bed, covered with a plush blanket, he looked like he was sleeping soundly, covered in a cozy blanket with flowers carefully arranged around him. The room was softly lit, peaceful music played in the background, and there were comfortable sofas where we could sit with him as long as we needed. We cried, hugged him, and said goodbye in a space that felt safe, loving, and deeply respectful. The thoughtful details meant everything to us -- when picking up his cremains, as emotional as it was, we appreciated the elegant, color coordinated packaging, the velvet bag his urn was wrapped in, the lovely engraving, his precious paw print. The service provided was exceptional in every way. In one of the most painful moments of our lives, West Coast Pet Memorial gave us peace and a final memory of our beloved dog that we will cherish forever. We are endlessly grateful.

This review is limited to the ashes and keepsakes I got from them for my late cat. Last week I lost my cat of 12 years, Oliver, to cancer. He passed away fairly suddenly when I took him to Animal Speciality Group (VCA) in Glendale because he had been throwing up non-stop and seemed to be in pain. Turns out his tumor had been bleeding internally and he was severely anemic and the cancer had apparently spread aggressively across large portions of his body, so I made the difficult but necessary decision to let him cross the rainbow bridge. At ASG/VCA, I purchased a cremation and keepsakes package, which I would later learn was being handled by West Coast. I just got the urn and keepsakes today in the mail and I really could not be any happier (other than if I could get my little buddy back). The wooden urn I chose was just beautiful, but I am especially blown away by the small vial with his hair inside of it; West Coast made a point to display his black and white fur in a beautiful pattern so I can always remember my tuxedo boy. I also did not ask or even pay extra for a paw print but I was so emotional and glad to find that West Coast had prepared one for me anyway. I really appreciate the work they did here to memorialize my boy. Thank you, West Coast, for your thoughtful work. Pictures include how I've set up the urn and vial of hair on my little altar for Oliver.
