He also worked with me on the price when I was in a very difficult spot, and that generosity meant more than I can put into words. What stood out to me most was that he did not make me feel rushed or like just another transaction. He understood that this was family, not "just a pet," and he treated the moment with the seriousness and care it deserved. Ariel was God sent to me. The way Ariel memorialized my little sassy girl Cutie was more than I could ever imagined! Ariel engraved all four of her paw prints in a heart shaped terracotta stone along with her tail which gave it that extra special unique touch. The ability to feel her feet and hands by tracing my fingers along each anatomical groove brings a smile to my face. Cutie would often times take her front paw and wrap it around my finger and now I can replicate that feeling over and over thanks to you Ariel. Ariel inked my Cutie's paws, nose and whiskers too! When I saw the prints it brought me back to when I use to touch her nose and she would look at me and I could just feel her smiling at me with her eyes. Ariel made me a special ink design with Cutie's tail curved forming a half heart with her back paw in the middle. I don't have tattoos but if I were to ever get one this would be perfect! Ariel created so many personal touches for Cutie's send off to heaven that she had me crying tears of joy. Dr. Shea was my guide in my time of need. When the final day came, Dr. Erica came to our home. She is this beautiful angel, with the most kind and gentle voice. She helped us walk our precious Stella over the Rainbow bridge in the beauty of silence, reverence, and peace, it was so beautiful. Dr. Erica sent us the most amazing sympathy card a few days later that touched my heart deeply. Honor Pet has not only been there throughout this difficult journey, but their kindness, compassion, professionalism and guidance have meant more to me and my family than they can ever know. Today, Stella is back home at her final resting place, where she belongs...they sent her home to us in this incredible Honor box which carried her remains, a mini glass bottle of her fur, a candle to burn if/when I need to feel her presence, a digital print of her beautiful little "chocolate chip nose" we all loved and adored, a package of Forget-Me-Not seeds to plant in her honor, and a letter conveying their deepest sympathy for our great loss. It was all so overwhelming and thoughtful. If anyone is faced with such a difficult decision as this, and you are like me, confused and doubting whether you're making the right end-of-life choice, I cannot recommend Honor Pet enough. I promise, you will be blessed and given the truth and confidence as to when that right time comes. Stella never suffered, because Dr. Shea went over her symptoms/behavior, but when she started showing signs that she was ready, I recognized them and knew. My Stella no longer is suffering... The devastation over losing a beloved pet cannot be fully described in words, other than this: "Grief is the Price we Pay to Love." I love you my sweet girl, wait for me.

Both my wife and I were crushed at the loss of our Great Pyrenees dog that prematurely suffered from cancer and when it was time to make the call I must say that the experience was absolutely appropriate and private. At some points it was as if he was not even in the room turning away to allow my wife and I to have complete privacy in the middle of this to say goodbye. He shared very few words only to relieve our anxiety and concerns about our animal's initial reaction or what to expect from the euthanasia. This in itself was so appropriate and created an environment where we were not being consumed by the "unknown" with regards to this process. Heather at Furrever Friends was so kind on the phone and in person. She made the entire process very smooth and easy. She discussed everything with me - their strict cremation process, what to expect with the final package, etc. Honestly, I didn't ask; she just told me. I wasn't functioning very well that day. I contacted them immediately and was assisted by Heather. She was very kind and helpful over the phone, gave me all the info about the various packages they offer. They offer 3 different cremations packages (private, witness, and communal). I chose to go with private bc witness was more than double the price of private. However, don't be nervous about going with private bc they have numerous ways to ensure that you will be obtaining your pet's remains back even if you aren't able to witness the full process. The private package included a simple urn (a box), paw/nose impression, and fur clipping. In their viewing room, they have numerous urns to choose from and upgrade from the package. Although it was so close to the holidays, I was able to pick up my baby girl the day after christmas. They were kind enough to gift us with a bamboo impression of her nose and paw as an ornament as well. The whole service and communication was truly great. I had no doubt in trusting Heather and her family with taking care of my pet. You can feel how much they care about animals and their passion in helping families get closure and having a beautiful send off for their pets. She came to my home first thing the next morning. I was worried about my younger Golden Retriever jumping on her or interfering with her care, but she was absolutely wonderful with both of my dogs. She encouraged him to stay in the room with us once he was comfortable with her, and I truly believe that helped him understand what was happening. She was incredibly professional, but I'll never forget one small moment. Out of the corner of my eye, while I was saying my final words and paying my last tributes to my girl, I saw her quietly wiping tears from her eyes. As a healthcare provider myself, I know how often we're expected to wear a mask and stay composed. Seeing that genuine emotion didn't make her seem less professional, it reassured me that she truly cared. In those final moments, your mind races. You question whether you're making the right decision. Seeing her emotion gave me peace because I knew she wasn't simply going through the motions. I knew that if she believed my girl wasn't ready, she would have told me. Most of us are fortunate enough to experience this kind of heartbreak only a few times in our lives. She carries families through it over and over again. That takes an incredible amount of compassion. This is not my first review of our beloved Dr G, and I just recommended her to 6 more people again just these past 2 weeks. I always say to people I give her card to: "you will discover she is an Earth Angel - if she moved to a different town, I'd take my pup there... When you find a great vet, they are Gold! She's not only compassionate, present and knowledgeable, but also she does not oversell." Besides all the regular check ups, Dr G. has performed 2 substantial surgeries on my pup in the last 8 years, and has been extremely kind, providing valuable reassuring step-by-step updates throughout, especially aware that I had lost my beloved first dog, (with a different vet), when he did not make it through the anesthesia... In the 8 years Dr G. has been our one and only vet; everyone I have sent to Dr G. has fallen in love with her, and has thanked me for the referral. I trusted Dr G and her small compassionate team with the euthanasia of my precious second dog, Handsome. She is truly an Angel on Earth. At her Chatsworth location, I love that she's created a lovingly cozy "home environment" for the euthanasia experience. That it so needed during that deeply emotional time, and more veterinary offices ought to follow her example. I found her many years ago when I was dissatisfied with a busy veterinary front desk in Sherman Oaks, after they had made errors in my first dog's chart. Unfortunately he passed, and I learned that finding the RIGHT professional truly makes ALL the difference. So yes, I drive from Sherman Oaks. Gratefully so :) I am thankful that my cherished pups are her patients. Her ethics, her care, her kindness, her knowledge, her integrity - she's our number 1!!!
