Scott is also good with these things, but I want to stress sth else I usually deliver my baby instead of having Scott pick it up, there's a peaceful sanctuary at his office. You would place your pet there and say your proper good bye, the process it feels more complete to me at least ... Scott is very patient and he gives a lot of time, he also has a lot cats, so I think he understands perfectly what every owner is going through, that we didn't just lose a pet. We lost a family. Scott gives a very peaceful and warm energy that you feel like you can entrust your pet with him and he would take good care of your pet. When the love of my life, Dinky, passed on Jan 19th, I knew I would find some comfort in Scott's cremation service as I had witnessed his genuine care and support after the passing of my roommate's dog. As the time came for Dink to be carried away by this angel from animal Heaven, Scott, I was at peace knowing that Dink would be safe in his loving hands. Scott goes above and beyond with his services from beginning to end and with the return of ashes. Even though I was already aware I was getting a clipping of Dinky's fur, when I received it, I immediately burst into tears because the clipping contained some of Dinky's white fur from his chest. My Dinky was all black except for this specific area where a patch of white fur formed a small cross on his chest. Professional caring service from start to finish!! Because I knew my dog Jack was 16 and not getting any younger, I had emailed Scott to inquire about services. He promptly responded and explained the service he offered and how to contact him when services needed. 6 months later, the time came and Scott is a true professional. He explained how it would be handled, arrange the times bc and promptly. He texted me before arriving anc also when he was here. He collected Jack with minimal paperwork. Kept me informed of when Jack's remains would be returned, Scott has empathy, sincerity, and professionalism that made it such a pleasure to work with him and to know Jack was in good hands. If you see the pictures, Jack came back in a beautiful box with name plate. Careful consideration, time and love was placed into all the little things he included and how the packaging is put together. Those little unnecessary steps but that make you appreciate it more. Personalized stickers on everything, tape with pull tabs, stand for pawprint, rainbow bridge poem, wildflower seeds, urn in tissue and matching shredded purple packaging to hold everything in place. I have had to say goodbye to more dogs than I can count through the years, and I've had some great experiences and others so-so... of course in the end what matters is having the pet's remains home where he/she belongs. But Scott at Garden's Edge provided a service that was so far above anything I've ever encountered. Last year our pet (who we tried to raise as an indoor cat but insisted on going outside whether we allowed him to or not) was killed by coyotes. When our furry friend passed unexpectedly, we were distraught and had no idea what to do, especially because she was a 100 lb Labrador and it was still during pandemic times. When Scott came to pick up our dog, it was immediately apparent how much he sincerely cares for animals and devotes his time & energy to giving each and every one a proper farewell and send-off. He told us how beautiful she was and how loved she must have been and let us take our time to say good-bye and pray for her. When it was time to go, he was so gentle when lifting her into his car and had fresh towels/mats ready to wrap her up in and secure her for the ride. While we were waiting for the process, Scott was very communicative, responsive, and updated us frequently. A couple weeks later, he personally came to return our girl in the most lovely little package: a perfectly wrapped box with gold seals on each package inside with our dog's name on it, some flower seedlings, a Rainbow Bridge card, her paw print, and her ashes very neatly wrapped in a secure bag, a velvet bag outside it, and a flawless wooden box. The attention to detail and heart that was put into the packaging meant so much to us -- the little engraved hearts, her birthday, the paws and decorations, the purple ribbons, stickers, and more. He took great care with my boy and is very understanding that emotions run high in situations like this. He mentioned that he does everything himself ! I was very impressed. I cannot commend Mr. Scott any more. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars. Where do I begin... I contacted Mr. Scott a few weeks before putting my beautiful Miranda to sleep. He so kindly messaged me and let me know the pricing and procedures. I wasnt ready to put her down. Scott did not pressure me and let me know that he will be available for Miranda when/if she transitions. The vet I had gave ..... treatment....and false hope. The time had come for my Miranda about 12 years of age to cross over the rainbow bridge. Not having done this before, Scott walked me through it. I asked him to meet me at the vets office. I was terrified to have my Mirandas souless body in my car. Scott convinced me to take her home, grab a bite to eat, and contact him afterwards. He couldnt have been more correct. We needed to say bye. The vets office was very chop shop like during COVID and Scott is a blessing and angel in disguise. I am glad we brought her home, said our goodbyes, kissed her, pet her, loved on her, and kept her warm until he arrived. Scott walking in through the door was like a breath of fresh air. He sat with us... spoke to us as a family. Provided words of support and encouragement. Even words to live by as a human being who shares love not just with pets, but family. To take care of ourselves and each other. Scott wanted to know a bit about Miranda. What had happened. Just... so sweet, kind, patient, and if it wasnt COVID time, I wouldve hugged him and never let him go. He gently picked Miranda up, carried her gently and was placed gently into a basket in the back of his car. He seemingly prayed over her and bowed in reverence. Miranda is a queen and never to be forgotten. Scott was amazing and I hope he will be there for me when the time comes for my other pets cross over. He is very communicative and apppreciates text messages to see how things are going. Relieving my beloved Castor's suffering was one of the hardest and most compassionate decisions I have made. It wasn't the first time I had to do this, but my attachment to my best feline friend and family member ever was crushing me. I read many prior reviews and compared to other similar services, I knew At Garden's Edge would be the service for Castor... and I. When I called Scott, Castor was scheduled for euthanization. Scott was gentle and attentive. He brought sound and simple advice for not only my spouse and I but for our other feline and feathered family members.
