Yesterday the crew was here for the recent job of removing concrete landing step ( which started to fall apart during the winter) and replacing it with a granite step. The crew instructed me to wait four days instead of the 48 hours in the contract. On day five, tire marks appeared immediately after using the driveway and the crew left puddles of sealcoat material along the edges of the whole driveway. I documented the condition with photographs taken in August, November and January 2026. It has gotten progressively worse. My attempts to have the issues corrected were unsuccessful so I withheld payment. Instead of correcting their work and honoring their warranty, the Company decided to take me to small claims court. I later learned that the company had several similar disputes filed by other customers on the same day. Anyone considering their services should carefully read reviews and document all contract details before hiring. Yes, thank you for proving my point. Even though the Court decided in your Company's favor and required that I pay the debt, the fact still remains that the workmanship was horrible and that Asphalt Engineering does NOT stand behind their work nor honor their warranty! We…read morehad drainage issues with a downhill driveway, gutter downspouts draining alongside the garage doors, and a lot of cracks, sinking areas, and bumps. From the start, Asphalt Engineering is professional. The estimator was pleasant, took his time, and provided 2 options with detailed PDFs explaining the work and pricing. We had a catch basin installed with a drain pipe across the back yard. Every part of the process the crew was as neat as they could be, even when digging up a line across the width of the back yard. The pavement came out beautiful, and in a recent rain storm the drain works exactly as designed. Some of the other estimates suggested we did not need a drain, in spite of having a big puddle that has formed since we have lived here (12+ years) when it rains or when snow melts. The team is responsive to phone calls and emails, and worked with me to ensure I could have my landscaper address repairing the back yard with the binder coat in place and before the finish coat. I would hire them again.

Jose came out and gave us an estimate that included burying the downspouts to avoid water dumping on the new patio. He was prompt, communicative, and gave us an estimate in a few days. We scheduled them to come the following week. He and his brother showed up right on time, and promptly began digging things out. I was impressed with what they were able to do in a single day. Because rain was in the forecast, they were flexible on coming back a second day to screed the final paver base. It rained particularly hard and it became clear that there was an issue somewhere. When they came back a few days later, I pointed it out to Jose and he promptly dug out the spot and ensured it was properly filled in and compacted. They finished the job and cleaned up. After the first day, they left the site relatively clean (considering they knew they'd be back). Overall, I would 100% recommend these guys and would love to have them back to do additional projects at our home. They were responsible, competitively priced, and wanted to ensure things were done right.
